Cathy provided the florals for our wedding at Scribner Bend this past weekend and we are so glad that we chose VID for our flowers. The planning process was super easy. We chatted over the phone and met in person at her studio, and she was so kind and agreeable. The quote she gave us was much more reasonable than the other florist I considered, and I felt that Cathy's goal was to take care of us, not to try to sell us more. For example, she recommended that the arch florals be moved behind the head table after the ceremony, which saved us from having to buy a second set of arrangements. Also, she recommended that we buy fake candles (vs real candles) because of how windy our venue can get sometimes, and told us "I can buy them for you, but it's cheaper if you buy them yourselves on Amazon." Her honestly and acknowledgement of wedding budgets was greatly appreciated. Also, we had more people RSVP "yes" than expected, and she was able to add a table arrangement without any fuss. On the day of, the table arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, cake flowers, and arch florals were exactly they style we asked for, were (and still are, days later) beautiful, and smelled wonderful to boot. She delivered them exactly on time, and coordinated with the venue staff for all of the ceremony and reception flowers, so we were totally hands-off. Everyone warned us flowers would be expensive and one of our biggest wedding expenses. After being warned and realizing neither of us knew a thing about flowers we actually out off finding a florist until about a month before the wedding. With the big day rapidly approaching we met with a florist Downtown, negotiated and decided to check out Visual Impact per a friend's recommendation. I can't even begin to express how pleased I was with Carissa's service. Some how she was able to visualize and design exactly what I wanted and more while still accommodating our budget. She even took a sample of our swatch to match the flowers and matched all the ribbons to our parents and bridal party attire. I really liked that she added those fine details. We didn't need flowers for decor so we only ordered for our families and the bridal party. My fiancé at the time was so pleased with the consultation and saw how happy I was he put the deposit down before we left (I think he was also trying to avoid another consultation lol). The good folks at Visual Impact handled the flowers for my wedding last New Year's Eve, and I had a great experience. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, friendly and had a good eye for design and detail. I booked them about two months before the wedding, and we had a meeting to discuss colors, design, and what we needed. Closer to the date, they kept in touch with me about specifically which flowers were available and we cemented the final details. On the wedding day (despite the fact that it was a holiday) they arrived on time and everything looked perfect. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that we used a lot of other decor, and so my wedding didn't involve a whole lot of flowers (3 tall centerpieces, 4 small bouquets, 1 large bouquet, a few wrist corsages), so I don't feel qualified to award the big five, but I had total confidence in them and would certainly have trusted with a larger, more floral-centric event. I hired Cathy and her team at Visual Impact to do my personal flowers (bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres) and altar piece for my wedding Memorial Day Weekend and I could not have been happier! From our first planning meeting, I could tell that Cathy was different than the other florists I had met with. I had met with a couple of other florists and of course, had a Pinterest board of ideas of what I was looking for. Cathy was very specific in asking me particular questions about subtle differences she saw between inspiration pictures I had picked out, but had never noticed myself. The altar piece (which ended up being a centerpiece on the head table) was HUGE and was really, really stunning.
