Yesterday, I was supposed to have an appointment in the afternoon. But I woke up with a very serious migraine and a slack pharmacy that can't seem to fill anything on time. I spoke with the office, after leaving voicemails because there was no one to answer the phone, which felt like a red light. We rescheduled for this morning. About 2 hours later, mind you I've got a migraine that nothing is helping so I'm sleeping and trying not to throw up, I get email notification. The way it was structured, it looked like it was the cancellation for yesterday's appointment. I needed immediate attention to get life saving medications since my former PCP left practice. I go out to my car this morning, it's dead. Omg. She had me swear to call in if I couldn't make it because I'd be his last appointment. I'm a clinician. I can understand that. So, I call while simultaneously trying to figure out how I'm getting there. Again, no one there to answer the phone. I'm leaving frantic voicemails. I know I can't miss this appointment or I could die. I opt for an uber. I never use ride share, but this was desperate. The driver got me there in record time and I walked in 2 minutes later, went to sign in, and the young man sitting behind the counter tells me Dr. Poveda cancelled all of his appointments for the day!!! What?!? I told him my car was dead and I just paid for an Uber to get here. The other provider, I was told, would not see me. So, I had to Uber back home, no med refills/scripts, get roadside assistance, and buy a new battery. Dr. Poveda, not notifying via phone/text, cost me about $+40 today. I had to race around to get to a doctor who could get me enough meds to last until I could get in with a provider, since everyone seems booked out for months. I can't overstate how awful I feel, and how much money, time, and anxiety you couldn't saved me if someone had just PICKED UP THE PHONE TO NOTIFY PATIENTS OF THEIR CANCELLED APPOINTMENT. This is about as unprofessional a practice I've ever dealt with. You charged me $25 late cancel fee and then cost me for an Uber round trip. So unbelievably unprofessional. If your practice can't support incoming calls, you're doing something wrong. One provider to another.

From my perspective, it is how a business owner and his or her staff handled such a situation, that directly affects how I rate them. This is a case of such high respect and understanding after sharing my views, that I want you all to know, that it's a wonderful place to go and have your veins analyzed. Step 1: My first recommendation is to start with the complementary meet and greet. (A short appt to decide if you and the being clinic are good fits for each other... (plus it's no obligation) Next, I highly recommend and was thrilled to have Mr Roberto to be my Ultrasound Technician for the Vein Analysis. This was easy and fun. We spoke about life and why I may be experiencing some symptoms of Venous Insufficiency. (Affects about 40% of the population) I didn't get to meet Dr S, but I saw him working in a room. He appears to be a nice fellow. Things to improve: I did wait in the waiting room for an hour past my appointment time. Said appt was made that morning. (So maybe they were over booked) Lastly, DO absolutely make sure they accept your insurance as treatments are not inexpensive when you require them. (often, it may take several visits, post analysis) Mine would be $1500 a visit, Times 3 visits... If you are to be a cash patient, DO ask how much things cost if needed, so you can make the informed decision to take Step 2. Step 3, The office cash visit is $180 and the ultrasound is $250. The facility is clean and nicely laid out. The vibe is chill and friendly. I'd recommend a visit if you need any of the services offered. Always ask questions upfront. Thai place is medical, not so much for cosmetic purposes! The front desk staff are really nice too! And if you run into any glitches, ask for the office/business manager and she will help to resolve any matters upsetting you as she did with me. Many blessings!

I found Muscle Works Supplements which was conveniently located steps away from LA Fitness. I stopped in to get some products that I could not fit in my luggage and I was blown away by the variety of options on the shelf. Not only was the store incredibly organized, clean, and totally cool inside, they had so many more products than I could have imagined (ranging from mainstream lines to smaller labeled products). The best part of my visit in was getting some of the most personable one on one help from the owner, Troy. I met him the first time I was in the store. The second time I went in (after testing out my samples for three days and deciding to buy a new supplement) I met the other owner, Ken. Both Troy and Ken are very friendly, personable, and took so much time answering my questions. They know their stuff! Unlike other stores I have been in, I did not feel the least bit pressured to buy anything and they helped me narrow down my options based upon my personal needs and goals. Wellington is lucky to have such a great supplement store with genuine owners. I wish I had a place like this in LA.
