I felt hopeless, embarrassed, and worst of all- lonely. I felt like I was the only weirdo who would be panicking about a flight for 2 weeks leading up to it, and thinking about how badly those 15-45 minutes are between "fasten your seatbelts" and takeoff... the bathroom is so close- yet so inaccessible. Meanwhile, I watched friends happily chugging down beers and coffee prior to a flight in their carefree way (sighs wistfully). Enter- Erin! I started following Erin on instagram and loved her content. At one point, I signed up for the newsletter. Then, like fate, I saw Erin's email regarding the MASTER method. It felt like a considerable financial commitment at the time, but I was at my wit's end with my IBS, took the plunge, and joined the June class. All I can say is WOW. I felt like I had gotten my money's worth out of the first session and the undergraduate community alone (first of SIXTEEN, mind you). I felt so SEEN, so UNDERSTOOD. Finally I was learning the "why" to a lot of "what's" to some things I'd figured out myself throughout the years myself (my IBS seems worse in the mornings! My IBS seems WAY worse on my periods, I hate running for some reason), and got validation for why I feel that way. My favourite part of Erin's program is that she doesn't look at things purely from a dietary perspective, but a holistic one. Stress, lifestyle, hydration, habits, etc all play their part.
