I hired her to help me change my view on food and lose some weight. I wanted to lose some weight and she was able to help me look at food differently and identify why I crave certain foods at certain times. I am down 35 lbs since I met her and I haven't dieted! She helped me change my lifestyle along with keeping me accountable every step along the way. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve their quality of life! Thank you Lisa!

Her holistic approach really helped me to see where I was out of balance and her coaching technique was so empowering, because it allowed me to recognize that I was able to make the changes myself. One of the biggest issues for me was stress. I did not realize how much it was affecting me, in ways I had not thought of. The stress reduction tools that I learned were so easy, and have become a part of my daily routine. I will admit that I was nervous to make this commitment and thought I would be overwhelmed but Lisa made everything so doable and comfortable. I now feel much clearer, more energized and in full control of my life choices again. I can't thank her enough for helping me get to this amazing place! I am forever grateful!

This review is for the medical practice rather than Dr. Tenenbaum himself…read more I've been a patient of Dr. Tenenbaum (technically one of his physician's assistants...you know the deal) for about 3 years. My medical history is pretty normal, so there isn't much to cover here: go in, get blood work done, get reminded that I have such-and-such value that is slightly above the norm for the population. Rinse, repeat. What drove me away from this practice (other than the 2020 pandemic...) is that Dr. Tenenbaum transitioned his practice to...concierge medicine. This artificially reduces the number of available physicians in the area, ultimately driving up medical costs for patients who do not necessarily need 24/7 support. I cannot ethically support this business practice, despite having the privilege of being able to pay an extra $200/mo for a service that I will likely not benefit significantly from...at least in the short term. I request that physicians reconsider going 100% concierge and consider a hybrid practice model. Allow those who cannot afford concierge medicine the ability to unlock a variety of physicians in the area. Healthcare is challenging enough as it is in this country...please don't add to the problem.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Benet and his entire team, as well as the ICU nurses, outpatient…read moresurgery staff, and surgical staff at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. At only 26 years old and in the middle of nursing school, I never imagined I would need a craniotomy. Facing brain surgery was one of the most frightening experiences of my life, not only for me but for my entire family. During such an overwhelming time, Dr. Benet gave us something priceless: confidence, trust, and peace of mind. I truly could not have asked for a better surgeon. After my surgery, Dr. Benet personally sat with my family for nearly 30 minutes, carefully explaining everything and answering their questions. With a large family gathered and understandably terrified, his compassion, patience, and confidence reassured every one of us. It was clear that he genuinely cared not only about my outcome but also about the people who love me. The level of skill and care I received was extraordinary. Recovery is different for everyone, but I honestly believe that finding Dr. Benet was one of the greatest blessings in my journey. I woke up after surgery feeling far better than I ever expected, and my recovery has continued to exceed my expectations. Just two and a half weeks later, I am already back in nursing school--exactly as Dr. Benet predicted. That outcome felt impossible when I was first facing surgery, yet here I am because of the exceptional care I received. Thank you, Dr. Benet, for your expertise, your compassion, and for giving me the opportunity to continue pursuing my dreams. I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am. You and your team changed my life, and I will carry that gratitude with me forever. From myself and the entire Puentes family, thank you for giving us comfort during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. We will never forget the exceptional care, kindness, and support you provided. Your impact on our family goes far beyond the operating room, and we will be forever grateful.

From my very first visit, Dr. Benet treated me not just as another patient, but as a human being going through one of the most difficult periods of my life. He carefully reviewed my imaging, explained my condition in detail, and most importantly continued to personally follow my recovery progress when I felt lost and unsupported after my surgery. What impressed me the most was the level of compassion, professionalism, and attention he provided. Unlike my prior experience, Dr. Benet consistently took the time to examine me in person, review my neurological status thoroughly, answer every question, and explain both the positive findings and the ongoing concerns honestly. His follow-up care has been extraordinary. Despite the seriousness of my postoperative complications, Dr. Benet remained optimistic while still being realistic. He identified ongoing neurological, visual, and balance deficits, coordinated further imaging and treatment, and helped guide me through recovery step by step. His documentation and explanations were incredibly thorough, and he never made me feel rushed or dismissed. Most importantly, he gave me hope. Even during moments where I felt overwhelmed by disability, vision problems, inability to drive, and uncertainty about my future, Dr. Benet continuously encouraged me and reminded me that recovery after major neurosurgery can take significant time. I truly believe Dr. Benet is an exceptional neurosurgeon and physician. His expertise, bedside manner, and dedication to patient care stand out, and I am deeply grateful for the support he and his team have provided throughout my recovery journey.

I credit her naturopathic guidance (including recommendations for high-quality supplements and integrative strategies) with transformative changes in my overall health. Since following her recommendations, I've experienced *substantial* improvements in my sleep, digestion, and hair growth. These changes were night and day, not subtle! (which was what I was initially expecting) Reading through some of the negative reviews here, I felt it was important to offer a different perspective. I have never found Dr. Stiles Green to be rude or unkind. She can be direct, sure, but directness is not harsh/cruel. In fact, I've always found her to be compassionate, thoughtful, and well-informed. In my experience, she demonstrates a strong ethical compass and an unwillingness to indulge pseudoscience, particularly when it comes to something as serious as cancer. That kind of integrity is something I respect deeply, especially as someone who has actually *gone through* cancer treatment. Some reviewers seem disappointed that she wouldn't offer naturopathic treatment *instead of* standard chemo. To me, that reflects a patient's misunderstanding of what good integrative care actually is. No ethical doctor (naturopathic or otherwise) should support treating cancer without standard oncology care, especially in cases where chemotherapy is lifesaving. The fact that Dr. Stiles Green draws a hard line when it comes to evidence-based treatment should be seen as a strength, NOT as a failure. In my cancer support group, the unfortunate reality is that people who refused chemo in favor of "natural-only" paths did not survive. That is NOT something to romanticize. I get it that communication styles matter, and not every doc is the right fit for every person. But it's worth telling the difference between a physician who is "not fake nice" and one who is truly unkind. And yet, in my experience, Dr. Stiles Green is neither cold nor dismissive. She simply doesn't sugarcoat, but she is also very thoughtful and caring. If you value clarity, thoroughness, and care rooted in both science and holistic insight, I think you'll find her to be exceptional. Because of her, my quality of life significantly improved during treatment and after treatment--all while being supportive of the standard care I received at UCLA.
