I spent Labor Day weekend pine tree inn. It was very clean had a nice communal open area and the bathrooms. Very clean as well. Had the best time with staff. All of them very friendly and if you needed anything they would make sure that you got it and or help you with it. I had breakfast lunch and dinner there, and the dinner was prepared quite well. I thought the food was above average for a campground. The nightlife at the bar was was upbeat, and the crowd was all very friendly, as well as the bartender The pool party music was upbeat, and the music was awesome. Vitambi Springs is a gay campground. As I've probably stayed at more gay campgrounds than most, starting about 30 years ago at Hillside Campgrounds in Milford, Pennsylvania which is generally recognized as having been the very first of its kind. Hence, I think I'm rather well qualified to render an opinion. First off, one should know that all campers, gay or otherwise, are not alike, so a campground in order to be a good one has to offer a little something for every type or style of camper and Vitambi offers it up in spades. It really has about the very best of everything any camper would want. It has secluded cabin rentals, trailer camper areas, tenting areas, an RV motorhome section complete with 30 amp plug in service, actual home rentals, pavilion and shower areas, a general store, military style barracks accommodations, a really lavish lodge, restaurant open on weekends, a downright gorgeous bar with stunning wood interior and outside patio setting; everything to suit any style of camper from those who prefer camping in the rough to those who have a preference for varying degrees of comfort. Then there is the fun and recreational factor. Again, Vitambi with its amazing 269 acres delivers on that count too. It has a really nice pool, dressing area, nature trails, clothing optional areas for the Naturists, a small lake with a dock and canoes, a gym, volley ball area, fountain section, but more importantly, themed weekends, themed parties, special events, demonstrations and classes covering everything from those directed toward personal development to those like me with some rather offbeat, to state it nicely, prurient interests. But, speaking of prurient interests the one thing I did not find at Vitambi were any specific "play session" areas or setups, and without a gay doubt, if there were any, those who know me know I would have found them. LOL! In summation I can say that as gay campgrounds go, or for that matter as any sort of campgrounds are concerned, gay or otherwise, Vitambi is really first class all the way. read more

My husband and I decided to try out Vitambi Springs as a little getaway weekend, and what a great time we had! It was relaxing and the staff were all excellent! The dinners were tasty and the drinks were always good in the Bongo Bar! It was a nice weekend meeting new people, sitting around a campfire, and all in all just having a relaxing time. Wow - not a great way to make a first impression. Multiple emails never were returned to book a cabin. Calls during their opening hours were not picked up. I finally got someone on the phone, but that was a no-go for a bevy of reasons, from NO one-night reservations to NO check-in on a Sunday. I guess business must be great, but I certainly won't be making the trip. Please improve your site and think about putting all your details on one page. Better yet, spend a slight bit of money on providing online booking - then you never need to staff your phones - oh wait, you hardly do that now (snark, of course). As a side note, the site does list some details regarding minimums: "*  All of the above styles of accommodations have a 2 night weekend minimum and 3 night major holiday minimum (all 3 nights of a holiday stay are charged at the weekend rate)". According to the site, Sunday is a weekday, so not really sure where the details are on the weekday minimums. You can see how this is not only confusing but equally frustrating. read more

We stayed at the blue heron manufactured home at Vitambi.The place was full of mold everywhere.The place was inhabitable The mold around the toilet was the worst .Mold in the closet with wet rotting floors.The refrigerator was full of rust on the outside and mold in the freezer .We paid in advance and could not get a refund.That was my first and last time staying there. read more

I just returned from Vitambi's Babes in the Glades event. After camping at Vitambi twice now I can say that it is an amazing experience....the grounds are beautifully kept. The campsites are plentiful, spacious and clean. The natural environment is gorgeous. But Vitambis staff is what makes it so special. I've been to this campground a few times, and I always have a great time. I recommend daypass for first time. This place isn't for everyone. If you're the type who likes to complain, it's best to stay away. You'll have a hard time finding something negative to say. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. Most of the people you'll meet, and all of the staff, are friendly guys. Food quality in the lodge is much better than expected. And the pricing is surprisingly fair, considering the lack of competition. It's been fun to watch the owners make improvements over the past few years, with new cabins. The variety of accommodations is a nice treat. From tentsite to a bed in the barracks to a cabin to a multi-bedroom house for a group of friends, your needs will be met. Come prepared to make new friends. And see the star-filled sky at night. It's a 90-minute drive from Wilton Manors but a totally different world at the campground. read more

Excellent gay campground! Clothing optional at the pool and about 1/2 the campground. I spent 10 days there the first week of March, 2021. The owner, Martin, is over the top nice, welcoming and extremely accommodating! The campers, from tents to RV to cabins were kind, welcoming and approachable to talk to. There is no body shaming! This campground has big things planned for major expansion in 2021-2022!! Easy to get to, 90 minutes from Fort Lauderdale. They are open year round. Very reasonable priced. Some cabins are more rustic than others; it adds to the charm. Good sized heated pool that looks new. Show/bathhouse is large, private and like-new. The entire property is well kept and clean. Kind, helpful staff. Good wifi. One can buy meals Friday-Sunday at this time. The food is good and reasonable. I'll be going back for Thanksgiving week!! I'm from Missouri. read more

The weekend attracts women from both Florida coasts so it is a fun opportunity to meet new women as well as reconnect with women from one's own area. An accurate description as a cross between a rustic resort and camp. Houses, campers, dormitory rooms, and cabins to choose from as well as outdoor camping, meeting the needs of all. Hi everyone. I had a terrible unwelcoming experience here today which is too bad because I loved it here my first visit. So .. Martin confronted me aggressively with his car as I was parking. I am new to the area and I am not familiar will all the rules. Martin stated that I didn't stop at the clubhouse to register which is true however, the last time I visited which was in May I did register everything at that time , the office was closed. I got the cell phone number of Martin and he sent me a square payment invoice that I paid. This time around(today) because I was driving a different car with a different license plate my intention was to park and text Martin to let him know I'm here for the day and pay if needed for the day. It was my impression based on my first time that during COVID the office is closed and any day trippers are to text on arrival as he told me in May. This did not go well with the man in change and he made me feel totally uncomfortable and after driving 2 hours to get to Vitambi I left. 4 hours driving for nothing. It's really interesting how someone who owns a business during COVID times aggressively turns someone away just because they are not familiar with the rules. He could have said ... hey come on over to the office it's open now we accept people inside now(which I didn't know) Good luck to him and Vitambi as the website and Facebook are not giving clear updated information. A true Florida wilderness resort! Nothing less than 5 star for this property. It is a private men's clothing optional campground but it so much more. I enjoy hikeing amazing trails. I have encountered Deer (LOTS!) Racoons Armadillos Squirrels Alligators Snakes and even a Florida Panther!! This is a great place to get away from it all, especially if the weather is cooperative and you can get views of the night skies - it's so far from anything there is little light pollution. They have pretty much everything that a gay camper should want. Cabins? Check. RV Spots? Check - but reserve well in advance. Private rooms in an inn? Check. Tent camping, with or without electric? Check. Common bunk-barracks type space? Check. Rent a whole house and bring all your friends? Check. Themed weeknds - from bears to leather to nudist to Zen - also Check. The restaurant and bar are only open from Friday noon to Sunday noon - so if you are there at other times, bring your own, or be prepared to drive the 20+ miles into a very small town with limited restaurants. Hiking? Loads of trails, and despite the moans and groans of another reviewer - I've wandered a lot of it, in the nude - just make sure to pack sunscreen and bug spray. Yup - it's pretty far out, and pretty close to the Everglades - so most times of the year the bugs can run from hardly noticeable to downright fierce, especially at dawn and dusk. As long as you know and are prepared, and understand it's South Florida boonies, there's no reason to complain. There is a wonderful but somewhat small pool with a huge deck. Bring flip-flops - that deck get's warm in the summertime. There's not a lot of shade around the pool either - don't forget copious amounts of sunscreen, but it's a great place to socialize from late morning until the afternoon thunderstorms drive you off to an afternoon nap - or the nearby shower room or myst room. The restaurant ain't nothing fancy - basic sandwiches, pay attention to the specials at night though, they can be unexpectedly good. Super bar, and the drinks are usually on the strong side - and don't forget the after-dark pump house, or winter bonfires. To sum it up - it is definitely not fancy, and you need to understand that for the most part, you are in charge of entertaining yourself. Bring a book and spend an afternoon in perfectly quiet solitude if you want - or a bike and ride for miles. If you are coming off I75 through the Indian Reservation - the speed limit is 35. Not 36 or 37, it's 35 and they will be happy to let you contribute towards the tribal fund., It's a long and fairly windy road until you get out of the reservation. A better bet might be US27 to County Road 835. Might be a bit longer mileage, and still a 35mph zone right after you turn onto 835, but it's not very long - and takes less actual time. Don't expect great cell phone coverage, or coverage at all if you have certain carriers, although decent wireless is available at the restaurant and bar and some people like to reserve the nearby cabins so that they have wireless for the whole stay. Personally, I appreciate the silence for a few days. Don't forget it's also a great place to store your RV or Travel Trailer if you can't find an affordable place on the coast. Great place to unwind from the stress of either coast, and definitely a part of my plans every couple of months. read more

First i should mention if your a hard working person and want to get away from the city and enjoy life in the country THIS is NOT the place to go. The reason being you will have fun if your a yuppie they offer on there website 120 acres but your not allowed to see the rest of the property. They expect you to walk everywhere and they dont provide golf carts. On march 5 2016. I went to vatambi expecting i can sign in and explore the woods and open country then i was told i could only walk down the trails and not take my friend in woods they aslo have a nice bar but money was obviously wasted there instead of making a road to go to the back of the acreage we drank for a couple hours and decided we wanted to light a fire in the fire ring the bar tender came over and started all this drama about how we cant collect firewood and kights fires or listen music which is why i drove 3 hours and he told me to get im my truck and leave i was under the influence of alcohol so i told them im not leaving and the ehole thing is a sham you want freedom and open country this isnt the place. The costumer service and how they communicate is very disrespectful the guy at front desk (martin) he seems nice but he likes to control the enviroment YOU CANT UDE THE ACRES THEY POST OF THERE WEBSITE THE CABINS ARE CLEAN AND THE COSTUMERS ARE NICE EXCEPT FOR THE CANADIAN HE THINKS HIS MONEY IS EVERYTHING LOL ID ADVISE IF YOUR BETWEEN THE AGES OF 21-27 this place isnt for you all there menu options are way over priced and they dont have a low budget menu for tge younger guys who work part time im pretty sure all the costumers would like to see more young ones I didnt get to speak to steve about this but hes a easier guy to talk to you doesnt tell u a bunch of bullsh*t my experience wuth this place i will never go back but wait i cant because they barred me from property because i wanted to enjoy my self. My husband and I have been going to Vitambi Springs for several months. We are avid outdoorsmen, and love nature. The unspoiled terrain recharges our batteries almost as soon as we arrive. The natural settings and themed cabin areas are very charming and remind one of Hollywood movie sets. With hundreds of acres to walk and enjoy nature, there is surely something for everyone. The restaurant and bar are also great spots to socialize and connect with others from around the country. This place is a hidden gem! The staff are always polite, kind, and happy to provide anything you need. The guests are always friendly also, and leave the "attitude" at the front gate.
