I was given one within an hour.The office isn't crowded and my info came right up in the computer..so no telephone book of paperwork.Ample seating and a few televisions.This location is definitely bilingual.

I came here about 6 years ago for my Cataract surgery. The doctors and staff were so accommodating…read moreand caring. At the same time they discovered I have wet Macular Degeneration in my right eye. My Optometrist, Dr. Vivian Renta-Skyer, is part of this group and is the best in the world. The Retina Specialist Dr. Edward Marcus became my Primary Doctor there. I have been going for eye shots since then and he is very caring and thorough. The process is painless and I feel very comfortable there. I know it is a long wait, BUT well worth it to get excellent care and attention. The staff is also spectacular.

If you ever bring a love one to see Dr Rodney Coe to this facility, think it twice. He was paying more attention to the two young girls that were " assisting him" than paying attention to my father and his condition. The receptionist was also rude and unhelpful. Very disappointing.

I took my 17 year old daughter to The Retina Group of New York's Hauppauge location for an appt…read more with Dr. Maisel. The first part of the appointment was with two lovely women - one was a Nurse and the other I think was her assistance. They had the responsibility of gathering information from my daughter about why we were there and what was bothering her eye. They had to put a few different drops in her eyes for some tests that had to be done and my daughter doesn't do well with anyone putting anything in her eye, even drops. She was very upset and nervous. These women was angels - they were so patient with her and talked to her to calm her down and took all the time needed to make my daughter feel comfortable enough for the nurse to put the 3 different drops in her eyes. They were the sweetest women I have ever met in any doctor's office I've even been to - just wonderful. After that we went in to see Dr. Maisel. He was very thorough and helpful in explaining to my daughter what he was seeing in her eye. He gave us all the information we needed and even gave us information sheets to leave with to read to understand more of what was going on. I could not have been more pleased with our appointment. We have a follow up appointment this week at the Hicksville location and I'm sure I'll be just as pleased. I would definitely recommend the Retina Group of New York.

Sadly, Dr. Rosenblatt doesn't seem to know the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. His…read morewords and behavior indicate that he assumes that his patients are all Type 2. They are two completely different diseases. Ironically, without diabetes, there would be no vitreo-retinal industry!
