I hadn't been there before so it was really was like uncovering some beautiful treasures I hadn't been expecting to find. Oh! And the space has the most gorgeous flower mural on the wall! Sets the tone for the shop perfectly. For the holidays they had some really love displays featuring bottle brush trees, locally made ornaments (which looked like they were perhaps from Pewabic and Motawi Tile, though I may be wrong), other bits of Christmas decor as well as unique gifts like craft sets, textiles, some stationary/cards, etc. They also carry some really lovely baby gifts, some kitchen-y things, candles, glassware, home decor, bath and body care, seasonal goodies, houseplants and planters, and more. I loved browsing everything they carried and in the end I walked out with a few purchases, including one of the beautiful Christmas trees and a beautiful embroidery kit of peonies and other flowers as a gift for my aunt. My only wish is that I lived closer so I could come by more often. I highly recommend popping in whether your in town or you make a dedicated trip to purchase a gift for someone. You'll easily find something for anyone.

Never does anyone greet you and say hello to you when you enter the store. When I am walking through the store, not one employee will look up and say hello. Not even the manager. I love the store and always enjoy seeing all their new products, but after my last visit I will not be returning.

Unfortunately I was not greeted when I came in nor when I was browsing, which I feel is such a small thing that can really make a difference when shopping. The person at the counter was with another customer, but even just a quick, "hi, welcome in!" can be so nice. That said, I would come back in the future just to check out what they have in stock.

Located in Kerrytown across the street from Detroit Street Filling Station, this woman-owned business is stocked full of so many unique and thoughtfully curated and sourced items. You want to come here for all the most unique and gorgeous looking goodies to gift to yourself and your loved ones and make sure to stop by often as they have a rotating selection of goodies throughout the seasons and months as well! They always have gorgeous window displays, the employees are always so happy to see you and the service is wonderful, and this shop is just so dreamy! Things are definitely on the pricey side here, but everything is really high quality and they feature a ton of local artisans in the area as well. There's nothing I love more than an intentional shop and you can truly feel how intentional Thistle & Bess is in every detail their store contains. Absolutely lovely and always worth a peruse whenever you find yourself in the Ann Arbor area!

When I looked on Yelp, I only saw a few photos of different crystals. I decided to still give it a look, and I am glad that I did. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The energy within feels great. The staff are super helpful and happy. They definitely dress in style as well. They were all very sweet and talkative. They were giving us information on different crystals and other items. My sister was asking about the vegan soaps, and they smelled really good. They had some other items as well such as clothing and jewelry. The candles smelled amazing as well. I really love the design of this place. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into it. I did find some super awesome pieces that I have not seen at other shops, which was awesome. They are all very knowledgeable about the healing crystals and stones and the energy is always flowing during the visit. I think it's working because I always leave in a good mood with a "new" vintage treasure for myself. Also, they have a feather bar! Yes, feathers! You can pick your favorite feathers and put them in a vase for decor. Such a cool idea and the feathers are ethically sourced! This is a great little shop I discovered in Chelsea's downtown area. They have all sorts of home…read moredecor, which they change up seasonally. They have a unique collection of decor, with everything from upcycled art/furniture, throw pillows, ornaments, mirrors, pictures/wall art, candle holders, printed mugs, wreaths, lamps, and more! The art is in a variety of styles, though a lot of it leans towards farmhouse and antiques style there is plenty of other style items as well. They also have some clothing items and bath items as well. My understanding is that different artists/entrepreneurs feature their own unique section of items for sale, which makes it more eclectic. I've been there a few times for different seasonal decorations already and am always excited to see what they have each time.
