This place is really nice for dress shopping. There is a lady in there named Arlette and she is wonderful and super helpful. She's not pushy and really takes time trying to help. I actually got my prom dress here back in 2010! They mark down which high school you're from so they dont sell the same dress to another person from your school, which is nice. More recently, I've come in a couple times to look at formal gowns for other occasions (like weddings!) and have had pleasant experiences each time. I went when there was a large selection of dresses (and of on sale dresses as well)! The workers are very nice and helpful. I love stopping by whenever I'm in downtown Plymouth. Bella Mia is not really doing themselves any favors with their spam Yelp, win a GC contest. I'm sure that was not their intent but that has been the result. This store is the *night out on the town* version of Bella Mia. Like their sister store, this place has some great accessories. The staff is frendly and helpful too. It is not a regular stop for me but I have dropped in to check it out. I'm less likely to go in though if they continue to encourage spamming my local Yelp feed by dangling carrots to their blog followers for shill insincere write ups and shout outs. Find a better way to market yourselves and let Yelp reviews happen organically. Your prior glowing reviews were really cheapened as a result of your gimmmick. For the record this is not a contest entry, it is my way of expressing how I now feel about Bella Mia's two stores and my rating is down from what it would have been had you not violated Yelp's TOS. Undecided on the look? They store has manikins that are dressed to perfection and will inspire you to dress your best. My only complaint is the price. I'll start off by saying that I worked many years in retail, so I have relatively high expectations when it comes to customer service. This place has the best team I've dealt with in a retail setting in years. Extremely helpful, and beyond sweet. Toni and Megan are the two I dealt with, and both were fantastic. I live in Chicago, but my family is in Michigan. I was in town a few weekends ago having dinner in downtown Plymouth with some girls, and wandered into Bella Mia Dressed-Up at first just to waste some time before our reservations. Then I spotted the wall of tulle and a ton of dresses that would work perfect for an 80's party I am going to next month. It was a Saturday at 6:45pm and they closed at 7:00pm. Working retail previously myself, I didn't want to make Toni stay late. I hurried and tried about 5 different dresses on. One stuck out as a winner, just is just barely didn't fit. Toni took down my information, the dress information, and assured me they would call the supplier in California on Monday to find out if it could be special ordered in my size. Monday I got a call from Megan from the store following up from the previous weekend. They were on top of it, which I truly appreciate! I feel like I usually have to call a place 7 or 8 times to remind them. Megan let me know that the dress was available, and went ahead and ordered it for me. I just got another call from Megan this afternoon letting me know the dress arrived earlier than anticipated, and is ready for pick-up! I am so happy that: a) I found a dress for my party, b) they were willing to work with me to get it ordered on time, c) had a great experience, and d) they went above and beyond for me. Megan was even sweet enough to take a picture of the dress and text it to me so I had a visual while shopping for accessories to go with it :) THANK YOU AGAIN GIRLS! In Plymouth there are a few dress shops but I thought Bella Mias was very nice! After a long non successful dress shopping morning in Ann Arbor we found that Bella Mia's in Plymouth did the job! In the back of the shop it was packed with dresses along with a couple groups of people. We had drove almost 2 hours to get to this small place which I was excited to finally find some dresses and to then come to find out we need an appointment in order to try dresses on! Them knowing we had come a ways away they were kind enough to squeeze us into the schedule! The employees were very helpful and handy when helping me with dresses and finding the right dress for me! I purchased four dresses from Bella Mia throughout high school for many different events. They have a massive variety of dresses in all different sizes, colors, lengths and styles. If for some reason they don't have the dress you want in your size they will order it for you. These dresses are all stunning and dresses that gorgeous come with a high price tag. However, their service is impeccable you pay for the experience as well. What an amazing shop. Went there for a prom dress for our daughter. This was a wonderful experience. Heads up you need an appointment. You can look at the dresses but you can't take them down. Understandably, they have nice dress and don't want them ruined. Your sales associate dresses you so you get help and lets face it so you don't ruin the dress for others. There is such a huge selection of amazingly beautiful dresses. It really is difficult to chose from. They have accessories to go with dresses and they offer you 20% off of accessories if you purchase the dress from there. They take your measurements and order the dress. Our experience was to get a size zero. I was worried that the dress would be small. I was assured that if the dress didn't fit to their measurements that they would order a new dress at no extra cost. So at check out time they ask you for half down. Approximately after two week they called because the dress came in. We got there again they dressed her and made her sit and stretch around in the dress. They want to make you feel sure that you are comfortable with the purchase and that the dress is durable. I was. At the register they make sure that they write down the date of the prom and your dress color and style. They do this because you don't want to wear the same dress as everyone else at the prom. There are no certainties (someone might want that dress walking in and could buy it online) but they try their best. ALL DRESSES ARE FINAL. So two days later is the first time my husband can see the dress on her. Then I help her in the dress, to see in his opinion if he thinks we should have the hem altered. When she bent down the clasp in the back tore apart. I about pooped a brick (No lying here and don't judge me either). I immediately called the shop. Again all sales are final. The young lady on the phone said she would have her manager Emily call me the next day. I thought she was passing the buck. She didn't. The very next day first thing when they opened Emily called me and had me explaining what happened. She said no problem they would reorder the same dress if I could bring the dress back. I did and she was very apologetic and said no problem she will get a new dress. This is why I will always come back to this store. I actually believe they care about the customer service and the reputation of the sales people and owners. Huge thanks to all the girls and especially Emily. read more

When I visit downtown Plymouth, I always go out of my way to visit Bella Mia Dressed-Up. They do have fancy dresses for special events, but I usually go there for their everyday outfits. Which I would categorize as Indie. These are the kind of outfits you're only going to find at a small personal boutique, like this one. And what I like most about them is that they are classy, traditional yet artistic. But if you want to do any shopping there make sure you plan on spending a pretty penny. Went to exchange something my daughter got for her birthday we had a gift receipt for it and they would not let her return the gift because it was purchased on August 4 and she received it as a gift on August 27th. I explained this to the cashier but she didn't care. I will never shop here they have very poor customer service. And they are VERY SNOBBY! Save you money and spend it where they take pride in their customer service!!! Absolutely disgusted with the way the employees treated me and my mother. They told us appointment only when that is no where on their website. It only says suggested and that walk-ins are welcome. I visited one other boutique to find my senior prom dress before I came here and the ladies there were very nice but I just wasn't sure about the dress because it had to be clipped and held up to fit right and it was very busy and a little unorganized. But my appointment at Bella Mia was seamless. They give you a little bag with clips to pick out which dresses you want to try on and the girls pick the dresses off the racks for you and they're really nice. They help you lace and unlace the dresses. Bella Mia is great place to go if you're a smaller size. They have a selection of larger dresses, but as someone who usually can't find anything that fits right, it was nice that they had a lot of dresses in little sizes. I'm normally a 0 or 2 in pants, but I needed a 00 for their dresses. But they're really nice about everything and tell you that you look great and give their opinion on their favorite dresses. They have a ton of stylish dresses in a bunch of colors and sizes. I liked the selection of dresses here better than the first store I went to because they were more modern. Overall I had a really fabulous experience here and I recommend it to anyone shopping for a fancy dress. I had to order my dress to get the right size. It's currently March 1st and the dress is going to come in around the middle of April. Just for some reference. read more

I went to Bella Mia Dressed-Up in search of a dress to wear to my son's upcoming wedding. I heard about this store from a friend who had been there with her daughters and had a great experience. After recommending the store to me, my friend offered to take me there, and I am really glad she did! I worked with several staff members who all took the time to listen to what mattered to me in a dress. I appreciated being offered recommendations because I was able to try out several styles that I would not have even considered otherwise. I came away with a much greater understanding of what I liked and didn't and why... and also found one particular style that I just loved and would never have imagined myself in. My daughter a Jenna and I visited Bella Mia to look for her prom dress. We were not disappointed! Everyone in the store is extremely helpful and they really care about taking care of you. My daughter is very petite, size 00 to 0, and there were plenty of dresses in her size for her to try on. We left there with a beautiful dress for her senior prom that she felt amazing in. This salon also makes sure that the dress chosen will not be worn by someone else in the same color at the same dance. We really enjoyed our morning at this beautiful salon. The prices are slightly higher, but the quality of the dresses and the personal service are worth every penny. If you go, please make an appointment so there is a dedicated dressing room for you. Try to go early as they aren't as busy right when they open. We were able to get the first appointment of the day on a Saturday...so glad we did!
