I was beyond disappointed with the service I had at this shop. I dropped a dress off well before I…read moreneeded it (a month and a half to be exact), and when I went to pick it up it was not ready and the tailor said he needed another week. When I went the second time pick up my dress, the alterations were not correct. When I voiced my concern with the alterations he made, as well as what he was charging me (he was no longer sowing a bra into th dress, so the price should have been lower than he originally quoted, the tailor abosolutley lost it. He screamed in my face, slammed his hand down and told me to shut up. He felt insulted when I asked him how he was going to fix the problem he made on my $300.00 dress and that I brought up the problem in front of other customers. To be honest, I don't care how many customers were present, I too am a customer and my dress was ruined. I don't believe I was in any wrong for expressing my concern, especially with how much he charged me. I never in anyway insulted him, but just needed to know how quickly the dress could be fixed because I needed to wear it to a wedding in 4 days. I have never felt so disrespected in my life- a grown man screaming at the top of his lungs at a woman. I was told by many that I shouldn't go there because they were unhappy with his work- I regret now not listening to their advice. He is not a nice man and does not care about customer satisfaction. Even though he "made a mistake" (his words) he still expected me to pay full price even though I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere. I have yet to find a place that is reliable and upfront with their prices, and was pleased when Twins was able to give me at least an ESTIMATE of the cost prior to showing up with the dress. I know hems on dresses like this are time consuming and I have no problem paying whatever it costs, but the lack of transparency is always problematic for me. They did a wonderful job with the dress - it looks great and cost $95 for a hem (this was a lot of fabric and two layered, FWIW) and a shoulder strap adjustment. I am happy with the results and the dress was ready in a week! I will be back for future alteration needs. It look like there was some vintage items, pants, blouses, and more that he has good comfort with. Thanks for the great experience!
