I am very happy with the alterations done at the Perinton Tailor Shop. I had two pairs of suit pants hemmed, one suit jacket sleeve shortened and one suit jacket sleeve extended. I thought the prices were reasonable ($135 for all 4 things) and turnaround time quick (1 week). The husband and wife duo are very friendly and easy to talk to. This is the second time I've brought my leather bomber jacket there for repairs. The first was about 10 years ago for a new lining and repair to a rio in the elbow. Oh my gosh what a great experience. I drive by this shop regularly and finally decided to stop in with a need as my work with another shop had run its course. My hunting backpack zipper had failed so I started with "Can you replace a zipper?". The tailor hopped up from his project and in five short minutes taught me all there is to know about zipper failure that does NOT require a replacement. The staff here is very friendly and the work was fine. Give yourself lots of time if you need something done!!! I took a bridesmaid dress here to be altered after several friends and family members recommended this shop to me. I took the dress a month before the wedding and I am very glad I did. They were extremely slow with their alterations and I had to come back each week to try the dress on and have other things fixed. I came back on what was to be my final time trying the dress on and to take it home, only days before the wedding, and when I walked into the shop on the day they told me to come back my dress was not ready. I had been in a week prior and the dress still wasn't ready. I was extremely disappointed, especially since they'd had the dress for weeks! read more

The place I always trust for any tailoring or alterations, they do an incredible job on anything you bring in. They've seen pockets in jackets for me, taken in dresses, and the prices are very reasonable. I've also brought things in that I've needed tailored asap and they are willing to accommodate that! I'm sure it's not preferable but sometimes I'm a mess and things happen, so they are awesome in that way. They have dry cleaning too of course! read more

I had a terrible experience when I dropped off the dress I wore to my daughter's wedding, for dry cleaning. I had pointed out some spots to the young man who took my dress, with no other concerns discovered. When I picked it up, an older man (who I assumed was the owner), apparently discovered some snags on the front of the dress and quickly moved the dress from a clear bag to a dark bag and tried to usher me out the door. Because of his actions, I checked the dress before I left the store and confronted the man about the snags. He denied any wrongdoing, but if I returned in an hour he would have it fixed. I returned in an hour, bringing my husband with me, and the snags were less, but still very visible. He reported he did not cause the damage, but I insisted. He hung the dress back up and sat down in the back to work on something, ignoring me until I left. I called the business first thing the next morning, and after three attempts someone answered, a young man who saw the snags on the dress and when I went to pick up my dress in the afternoon, the dress was beautiful again. He apologized for his father's behavior, and there was no charge to me for them fixing the damaged caused to my dress while in their care. I changed this review from 1 star to 3 stars as a result of the fix and the apology. I just can't give five stars because it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but the young man (and young lady) were very nice. read more
