As someone that drives down to Baja consistently, I'm surprised that I've overlooked this place for over a decade. Not until I came here on a date did I realize how big of a gem this place is. I first came here in April, and my girlfriend recommended this place. It was a weekday evening, so the place was not too packed. The place has intimate lighting, and the place is decorated decently. After getting some recommendations from the staff, we decided on camarones a la diabla, which is a plate of spicy shrimp on a bed of pasta. To share, we had a pizza which was half chicken, and half shrimp. The shrimp pasta and the pizza were amazing, surpassing my expectations. The shrimp pizza was as good as the one I had at Xcaret in Playa del Carmen. Recently, I came back to this place with a buddy of mine. We came here on a weekend evening, so needless to say it was packed. Even still, we had a table almost immediately, which was nice. My buddy ordered meatballs over pasta, while I ordered the same shrimp plate as the previous time. We ordered the Mexican pizza to share, which came with chorizo. Both out plates and the pizza were delicious. The service here was on point. They consistently checked in on us, and we were taken cared of well. I came to this place July 2024 with a friend and we order the pizza with sausage and peppers, the pizza was cooked to perfection and it tasted very good. We were given large portions. We ordered a pizza de lujo and spaghetti con mantequilla y champiñones. The spaghetti was very simple and some mushrooms were good and others were so bitter. The salad was doused in vinaigrette. The pizza was so doughy and the cheese was barely melted. I would not recommend this place. Must agree with Shyann's review. Came in and waited in front for service. Was told to go in and be seated. I seated myself and was then ignored for 30 minutes. I noticed that 2 subsequent Mexican customers were taken to their seats by the staff. I only got a menu after the Mexican customers in the 2 adjacent tables finished eating, paid and left. Expect to be seated at the back of the bus and be served last at this restaurant if you look American. read more

I have been enjoying the food here for over 7 years. I have never had a single problem the entire time I have been enjoying myself here. Without a doubt the best Sangria ever and if you can't finish it you can always get a go cup. No matter what their soup of the day is I have always loved it. Even soups that I wouldn't normally eat have been delicious here. The other night the split pea soup was the soup of the day and neither myself nor my dinning companion actually like Split Pea soup well we both loved their version. This was a series of unfortunate events. We were in town our last night before returning to the States, looking specifically for Italian craving food, we saw this restaurant of course in Yelp. Looks like a lot of tradition in the area, we were skeptical because were bad and good reviews, but we were so close that we decided : why not right? The place smells good, super old , half full, we were getting excited to tried the menu. And oh my, the portions were huge, and the taste was worst. Lasagna and meatballs flavorless, mediocre pizza that honestly we had to return all the plates. The service was okay but our waiter was some rude since he saw we were returning the whole banquet. The most unfortunate part was when a very despicable old lady ( Owner) came to almost yelled at our face that the food was excellent and their business is the best in Tijuana. Terrible manners, not even an apologize for the bad food, and of course they charge us the whole bill, which regrettably we paid but was more that bad feeling about her manners than nothing. We had more than enough and we still packed some of the leftovers to-go. Only thing I would want different is their appetizer salad. I've been coming to Vittorios for more than 10 yrs. The marinara sauce is delicious. I can say the sangria is the best one I have ever had, you need to try it. Moderate Price for a Cena para Dos, you can easily feed 3 or 4. The restaurant is kinda old (and old Looking) however, I keep Coming back because of the sangria and spaghetti. read more

I've been eating here for a few years and unfortunately, the value for what you pay for has reduced considerably since I've started eating here (especially in the last couple of years or so). What used to be a good bargain for good quality food has now been reduced to a "tourist trap" of sorts as now the prices are on par with Italian-American restaurants in Los Angeles and San Diego. I was so appalled at their prices that I almost didn't order anything the last time I walked into their restaurant and practically everything on the menu had jumped up in price by about 25-35% aside from their pizza which I never ordered before. I decided to purchase one and get told that I have to pay "extra" for a meatballs on my pizza on top of what an extra topping is as it's "premium". After paying near $10 for this pizza, I get a good quality pizza, albeit in the most petite size that I easily ate in one sitting with a friend still hungry for much more. Other people say this is much better than Olive Garden and I would maintain this for pizza, but even Olive Garden has much better value and quality overall for what you get for ordering pasta there. Also, Giuseppi's is a much better value than Vittorio's, but still having that premium quality (I think Giuseppi's dough and sauce is better; although, Vittorio's cheese is better) as well so I don't feel like I get my money's worth anymore. read more

I would like to give this place 4 stars based on taste and value however my main complaint is that I keep on getting diarrhea after I eat here. First time was after eating the rib eye. Tasty steak though. Second time was after eating half a torpedo sandwich. I loved the taste and after I recovered, I went to eat the other half of my sandwich. Bad mistake . Got sick again so now I narrowed it down. Went back recently to try the torpedo again. Only ate half and saved the other half. Didn't drink the water or eat the jalapeño either. Sure as day, I got sick again! I am a chef. Their kitchen is not visable so my guess is 1) problems with refrigeration . Meats are going bad due to being held at wrong temps 2) poor dishwasher. Things are not being sanitized properly. I am not lactose intolerant and I don't have any allergies. Many people have recommended this place as an old time favorite. Service is lacking too . Salad is consistently drowned in oil. But who cares about service and salad if you consistently get diarrhea? So... my advice to you is to eat half and see what happens. I hate giving bad reviews to places that have been branded as local favorite. read more

Really good pizza. Half Lujo/Half Sausage with bell peppers (salchicha y chile moron. Better than some places in California. And definitely the best pizza I've had in Mexico. And I've traveled to a lot of places in Mexico and have a thing for trying pizza in different places since its one of my favorite foods. The sausage was good and ground. Unlike other pizza joints in Mexico where the sausage is a hot dog sausage cut into slices, no Vittorio's sausage is Brooklyn/US style. Met the owner. Very nice lady and definitely has a Brooklyn accent. Marinara sauce is authentic and legit. This place is practically home-made sauce and food from an authentic Italian-American woman. Must try. And no it does not smell like open sewers in there. Its smells good. TJ overall is what smells like open sewage. This place is an escape and nice vibe inside. read more

I came here without any expectations and was completely blown away with the food. they have amazing marinara sauce and really good pastas. I didn't get to try the pizza but my review is based on the lasagna and salad I had. I'm a regular at places in little Italy in San Diego but I'm glad I found this gem in Tijuana. Oooph, it's been a while since I ate at Vittorio's but I had to come back and write a review because this place is part and parcel of bad Italian food in TJ. As my party walked through through the main dining area, I noticed cooks emptying canned pasta sauce into a pot (major red flag, pasta sauce isn't terribly difficult to make and needs to be made from scratch at any Italian restaurant worth its salt). I ended up ordering the ravioli which was a mistake, as it was obviously frozen. The garlic bread was also quite bizarre, white bread of indeterminate origin (definitely not Italian) smeared with butter mixed with powdered garlic. It did have chunks of garlic on it, but it was bitter which means it likely came out of a jar. I'm honestly baffled by all the five star reviews, especially the ones claiming this is better than what you can get in San Diego (seriously, Olive Garden puts this place to shame). This place is aggressively mediocre and sadly par for the course when it comes to eating Italian food in Tijuana. I'm adding one star because the sangria was pretty good. read more

went to see I love my dentist so my daughter in law and I had an idea of what it looked like and it was closed but was able to peek in as I love my dentist has orthodontist and the other dental place only do dental so we were hungry and decided to eat here and am I glad we did talk about the best tasting pizza ever! the parking is located in the back and your vehicle is safe be sure to take your parking ticket as they stamp it and you get free parking. There are many shops down this strip and it was a lot of fun just checking it out!
