I gotta admit- sometimes I go in just to chat . They have an amazing selection. I love that they also sell teen sizes- mens small and medium and women small and medium. They also have maternity clothes. Their prices are so much better than any other consignment shop. I bought a high end outfit here for I think 6.99 when it would have been about 19.99 or more at Wild child in Liberty. And on occasion I can find them for .99 here. They do color tag sales. I have bought my son's so many polo Ralph Lauren shirts here for .99 a piece!!

They were extremely patient and kind and didn't make me feel rushed at all, even whenever my daughter needed to nurse. They gave helpful and honest opinions and helped fasten a swimsuit when I had trouble (due to holding my baby). Very impressed with my experience. I bought 2 suits and will be back in the future. High quality suits, with fantastic mid season pricing!

That's the basic aim of this store - if you didn't know already. It's November and it's not getting any warmer anytime soon - so the cashier told me it's the "slow season" from now until December. But after that, the resort crowd raids the place and after that, loaded spring breakers raid the place, and after THAT - it's summer all over again! That's the life of swimwear in the Midwest anyways, and in Johnson County no less. The sale rack was a bit cheesy - too many zebra prints and screaming oranges but the selection was vast and mostly wonderful elsewhere in the store and they carry top brands, from Michael Kors to Calvin Kline - you can find a killer suit in here if you want one. The sale rack isn't much less than the suits in the front - so I would spend the extra $10 for a better looking and styled bathing suit - just a tip. They also sell: sunscreen and tanning oils, jewelry (Caribbean themed of course for those pesky resorters!) and also hats (wide-brimmed, for women named Muffy or Edwina) and snazzy resort-style sandals in all sizes (and also on sale). The prices range from $75 - $150 - I believe. Different designers and manufacturers price so varied so don't take my word for it as there were thousands of bathing suits - the selection is incredible. I especially liked how laid back everything was with all things considered. The cashier even joked with me about "those lucky few" who are able to vacation in the winter - she was a chill lady.

T-shirts for $5, jackets for $30, vests for $10, and leggings for $8, you can make quite an outfit. It seemed like a cheap-o Wet Seal knockoff, but after entering I realized I can make a pretty chic outfit from this stuff. It's all a matter of mixing and matching these items with your pricier clothes at home, using these as basics to build from. I felt foolish for just spending so much at American Apparel when I could have gotten the same stuff here for a fraction of the price (side note: I will always love you American Apparel, sorry for dissing you). The OWNER Annie told me that I would need to them drop-off as she is able to do same day as long as it is before 2 PM (I was there at 11:37 am). I proceeded to pull out my phone to take pictures of the items due to her wanting to drop them off and she stated "I've been doing this 27 years, if you don't feel comfortable leaving them thinking I'm gonna take anything, I'm just going to have you take it because you don't have to this". I sensed she felt offended which was the last thing I meant to do, so I explained to her that it was for my comfortability as this was my first time doing a drop-off or anything with a consignment that accepts the brands listed on the website and had nothing at all to do with her or the business, it was just for me personally. She gave me a slip to fill out and as I started to fill the form out, I suddenly stopped as I then started to feel uncomfortable with her whole demeanor and how she spoke to me, so I said "Well never-mind, because now I am starting to feel uncomfortable" and she responded by saying "Well I really don't care" I asked for her name and she said very proudly "I am Annie, I am the owner". We left and I was just very disgusted with her and how she spoke to me and not to mention my son as we walked out stated "That was not nice"! I see why this business is rated 1.0. If that is how she treats customers let alone a first time customer, then she should perhaps reevaluate running her business because after 27 years of alleged business one would or should have developed great customer service.

New consignors may want to call and verify brands before bringing in, to save yourself the time and effort.
