I recently moved from northern Utah where I worked with fabulous professionals at the U of U. Not wanting to travel north every time I needed to see a dermatologist, I searched the Internet for a local provider with good reviews. I found Vivida Dermatology. My wonderful experience began with a helpful, knowledgeable staff member confirming that they took my insurance and making my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment less than a week later, I was greeted by a friendly front office staff member. Everyone I interacted with from there on was courteous and professional as well. The doctor was running on time which is always a relief. I saw Dr. Peine who was very knowledgeable and asked me excellent questions. Once he diagnosed me he explained any side effects the medication options had before prescribing the best one. My experience was so positive I have decided to permanently move myself to his practice. First visit was today after being referred by primary care. Received appointment over a concern within a couple weeks. Reception area was large, bright, clean, well supplied with ameneties, including snacks. Staff was friendly and organized. Wait was short. Practitioner came in within 1-2 minutes after I was seated in exam room. She knew what the problem was right away, and presented 2 options for me to decide, leaving the decision up to me. When I said I was nervous about it, they promptly explained the procedure and allayed my fears. Immediately took care of issue and sent me on my way. I felt like they were interested in me, focused on the issue, let me decide how to handle it, and were prompt and friendly. It was a pleasant and satisfying experience, and I would readily return with another issue should one arise. read more

From A-Z the staff here is wonderful. No one ever wants to find themselves in need of a MOHS surgeon... but if you should need one; Dr Pinea is beyond amazing. I had a dark pigmented basal cell carcinoma that needed removal from right in the middle of my forehead... it turned out to be a little deeper than originally suspected (I was referred to Dr Pinea from another dermatologist in STG). The MOHS lasted a little over 5 hours, and the area of tissue removed was bigger than I had anticipated (to put it mildly). Dr Pinea did such a thorough job... six months later you seriously can not see a scar on my forehead. I am in complete awe of the work he did. Like I said... hopeful to never need his services again, but if I find myself in that situation again I know I would be in good hands at Vivida and Dr Pinea. read more

This was our first visit for both my wife and I. From the start, we were impressed with the office and the young lady that greeted us. She was very friendly and quickly walked us through the necessary paperwork. The actual visit with the doctor was very pleasant. We were initially put at ease by Morgan, his assistant. After a short wait, got to meet Doctor Peine. His professionalism was exceptional. He had a great "bedside manner" augmented by a sense of humor, which again helped to reduce our stress level. A few somewhat painless procedures later, our visit was done. Dr. Peine has instantly become one of our favorite doctors here in St. George. When my dermatologist gave a referral for a difficult Mohs surgery on my face, he sent me to Vivida Dermatology. I met Dr. Peine and liked his competent and confident manner and he treats you like a friend. He and his assistants completely removed all the cancer and then the incision required skin grafting; I was nervous and everything went well. My referring dermatologist was very impressed with Dr. Peine's work and I just can't say enough good things about them. They are friendly, professional and good at what they do. Dr. Peine has been taking great care of my mother in St. George. She is almost 86 years old. Before Dr. Peine came to town she was being seen inside the hospital with another doctor. I took her in to have an area checked by her lip which ended up being nothing. However, in plain sight on her neck she had a huge melanoma that I didn't know it was at the time. They never looked at it, never said anything even though it was right there in front of them as they looked at her lip. Dr. Peine caught it right away and took care of it. I have been referred to Dr Piney for Moh's surgery. He is a very concerned physician. I am on my 3rd Moh's with him and am confident that he will do as good a job on this 3rd site on my face as he did on the other two..He even asks what your favorite music is and then finds it on Pandora. He called me the evening of all 3 surgeries from his cell to see how I was doing and told me to call his cell if I had any issues. I am 30 and had never been to a dermatologist before. My mom has a history of skin cancer so I decided it was probably a good idea to go in and at least get checked! I came in and met with Brooke Larsen and she was phenomenal! She did a full body exam and didn't miss anything. This past week, I had Mohs surgery done by Dr Peine. I was very pleased with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. I never felt any pain or discomfort with the surgery and Dr Peine was extremely comforting. He explained what he was doing throughout the procedure and was meticulous in his work sewing me back up. I've been seeing Dr. Farley for a couple years now. I go in at least once a year for a full body check. She was quick to question a spot on my shin and with a biopsy it was indeed skin cancer. They quickly scheduled me for MOHS surgery and now I'm cancer free after a year and a half. I have so much confidence in Dr. Farley and she is compassionate and cares and very good at what she does. This is my 3rd visit with Dr. Peine in St George, UT. I find him to be friendly and very thorough. He does what he or I feel is necessary, but does not go beyond that. He is very courteous and attentive. I waited in the waiting room only a few minutes and Dr. Peine came in to treat me within a few minutes after that. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Another great check-up from Dr. Piene. He's been taking care of my 88 year old mother. Making sure she doesn't have skin cancer. He found a melanoma on her a while ago and removed all of it.
