A fascinatingly deceptive woman by the name of Kumba Keita owns this tax service. I went to file my…read moretaxes here last year and the assistant took my information, copy of my drivers license, and all my tax papers because Kumba was yet to arrive in the office. She even had me fill out some paperwork which asked for some signatures. I purposely did not sign for having them file my taxes as there was no amount stated. I asked for the price but the assistant couldn't tell me that. Finally Kumba arrives and takes some more information. Then she finally tells me she charges six hundred and fifty dollars, which of course I thought was very expensive. Then we got into a disagreement over mileage deductions. She didn't seem to know that you can't deduct both mileage and expenses like gas when you're doing rideshare. Anyways, I left shortly after because I had a couple of things that needed to be fixed before being able to file, plus I was unsure that I wanted to use her services at this point. She asked me to come back the next day but I decided not to. I called her the following day to let her know I didn't want to use her services but there was no answer and the voicemail was full. It took me a while to sort out my other stuff with the IRS so I thought nothing of it but I planned to do my taxes myself. Meanwhile Kumba called me and emailed me asking to sign the document for her to file my taxes. I never responded and didn't sign anything. Then lo and behold, one day I checked my bank account and there was a tax refund from the IRS in my account! I immediately knew who it was because I already had a bad feeling about her and I didn't seek services elsewhere. I compared the amount with the amount on the IRS website and realized that not only did she go ahead and file my taxes against my will, she also helped herself to eight hundred dollars! I immediately went and filed a police report and reported her to the IRS. Don't let this woman file your taxes or even see your paperwork, because she will file your taxes and steal extra money whether you like it or not. My taxes weren't even filed correctly because one of my businesses were not on there due to me needing to get the TIN from the IRS first. Please save yourself a headache and a big hole in your wallet and go elsewhere. I filed my taxes myself this year and made sure I got my refund before writing this review in case she tries to scam me again. Do NOT trust this woman.
