To Alan J Thank you…read morefor your review of Solaris health care and all the issues. I had the same issues and more at Lifespace Communities dba Abbey Delray North in Delray Beach, FL, an Unskilled Nursing Facility, where My Dad languished for 85 days. What he went through was horrible. We could have used a good Doctor like you there, but likely you would have ran into the same brick walls as you did at Solaris. As My Dad and His Family also did. I'm writing this because Lifespace Communities dba Abbey Delray North hires Select Rehabilitation, a contract therapy solutions company. The regional manager is Rachelle Breanne Sterling. Employed by Select Rehabilitation. I see she is or was at Solaris. She was very cordial and wanting to help the first time I spoke with her but nothing after I expressed issues. Natasha Gerlach is the Rehab Director over at Abbey Delray North also employed by Select Rehabilitation who knows about every issue. But the CONFLICT OF INTEREST between SELECT Rehabilitation and Lifespace Communities is just too HUGE. Rachelle and Natasha are afraid of losing their jobs if they speak up about all the issues going on at Abbey Delray North. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing because they are too fearful to speak up. I was told by a Lifespace administrator that with one phone call to Select Rehab they can get rid of one person or the entire Rehab Team. It's already happened. Is it the same at Solaris? Also like at Solaris, the attitude of most of the people over at Abbey Delray North when you have issues is HORRENDOUS. They will cover for each other and they will blame your Loved One for their issues. Absolutely Disgusting. Btw, Mark Raynor the Lifespace Communities administrator attempted to tell me the issues My Dad had was My Dad's fault. What a bum for even thinking that. Abbey Delray North is like a rudderless ship. With the attitude of Raynor and others who think their titles mean anything in the real world, sadly their underlings follow their overlords with their attitudes, work ethics and everything else. Truly Sad but it appears from hearing about Solaris, it's the same at all of these Facilities. What a sad but true fact. Thank you again for your honest thought provoking review.

If you're considering care for your loved one, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere…read more My mother was placed in this facility, and it was a nightmare from the start. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the overwhelming smell of urine. When she rang the bell for assistance, she waited--and waited. Yes, we understand aides have other residents to tend to, but waiting 45 minutes is completely unacceptable. Especially when that delay led to my mother falling--something that never should have happened. then to cover it and tell us that she didn't fall, because her bottom did not hit the floor stating she slipped out of her wheelchair per the nurses on duty, no report ever was written. Let's talk about the lack of basic care: they would take her to the restroom and not put her oxygen back on. We found it multiple times just lying on the floor--completely negligent and dangerous. But the final straw? She was left in bed all day long, struggling to breathe with pneumonia water in her lungs and a horrible UTI .I had to call and insist she be sent to the emergency room. Did they send her? They waited until my brother arrived 40 minutes later and asked him again if she should go to the hospital, as of today, my mother lays in the hospital fighting for her life. Our family is heartbroken and outraged. In our opinion, this facility should be shut down. We will be making a complaint and calling onbunsmen on them . Working in the healthcare system myself you bring your loved ones to be cared for not to be left in their bed struggling to breathe because of the lack of care our loved one received. Stay away from this facility! I would definitely rate this place a negative one.

They truly care about the patients; one nurse even bought my Dad baggier pants on her lunch break just to help him feel more comfortable. I was concerned because there facilities are farther from Stuart, but their care was excellent and responsive.

I dealt with various staff members there from time to time over the course of several months and…read morethe service was typical with what you would expect from a lower-end/lower-budg assisted living facility... not great. Most assisted living facilities are very sad and depressing places to be and work, and they have a very high turnover, and a hard time keeping any type of talent in terms of the workforce, unless you go to the fancy, schmancy ones (these are the ones that do not take medicare - and are typically expensive. But hey, you get what you pay for too.) This could be a 2 star or even 2.5. Then I spoke with the manager Mr. Jeff Valdez, and actually had a very pleasant phone conversation with him. And we followed up with an email. He even stated if I needed anything else don't hesitate to reach out. A couple weeks later I reached out, emailed, called... Another week went by and repeated the process, and Mr. Jeff Valdez turned in to a ghost. And I know he read my emails because I had read-receipt set, and they came back as read. So I don't get it, but that's what we call "extraordinarily poor customer service." Non-courtesous response = 1 star review. You can do better.
