Can I actually have found my nail place? I've been searching since we moved here in March. I saw someone's nails that looked great, and she said she had them done here. I finally got here today, and I am thrilled. I was a walk in, I wanted acrylic removed, and I wanted Gel-X which I've had done for 5 years. AND, I wanted Cat's Eye Magnetic Gel. In 30 seconds, I was seated, I was looking at colors, and Tallie (I think that's her name) was on the job. She was efficient, and expert at her job. The salon is clean, quiet, spacious with a convenient location and tons of parking. Their prices are very reasonable. Next visit, I'll add a pedicure. read more

This nail salon was close to the lodging I occupied while working in North Carolina. There was no wait, the young lady at the check in area wasn't pushy and answered all of my questions. If you've ever been to a nail salon before, you know that you go in for one thing and the amount can bloom and have you in your feelings. I am glad to report that I didn't have to experience any of that on my visit. Located in a bustling outdoor shopping corridor next to Sam's Club, parking is dynamic but wasn't an issue when I visited. Be forewarned, they do not accept American Express for payment. Probably because of the high fees associated in doing so. They are capable of accepting contactless pay, cash and other credit cards. There was not a charge to pay via credit cards at the time of my visit. The areas were well lit, and things were orderly. I was taken to the pedicure chairs and it was only delayed because I spent time trying to decide what color I'd like. The most refreshing thing about this visit was how the technician explained to customers in terms they could understand and when I inquired about whether I should keep my gel polish on, she gave straight answers and it was never an upsell. That was appreciated because some places will put acrylic over a nail with fungus if it means they'll make some money off of you. It was a good experience. The only detractor was that I had to point out to the guy performing my pedicure where to give attention to based on the level of pedicure I paid for. Goodbye to nail trauma! After that one incident at NC Nails where I was left saddened with nail polish all over my skin, I vowed to never go back to the salon. I made an appointment with Mia. I absolutely loved this color she picked out for me. She gave me super cute clear pink nails. My friend had Anna (Chloe) who was really cool and also did a wonderful job. The girls here really knows what looks good and will make suggestions for you. A big bonus is they're open on weekends! This place has always been my go to spot to get my acrylic's done. Mia was my favorite , but i have gotten others as well and i have always left happy with the work any of the nail techs has done. Recently i went on a Sunday , showed Tayla or Kayla a picture of nails i would like done, she said yes she can do it, i trusted her to make magic happen like any other nail tech has done before. She completed the work and i looked at them quickly, as they were closed already & it was 40mins over that, so i felt pressured to move quickly so everyone can go home. I paid 85$ plus tip. Not only did i see they charged me an additional 10$ for "long nails" which mind you i had medium length nails which they always charged 5$ for...so she scam in an additional 5$ in the total. Which i chose to let slide and see it as "being over closing time fee " lol Anyway i can gaslight myself to not be bothered about it. As i left and went into my car i toke the time to examine my nails in the sunlight, as i am looking at all my nails my cuticles had a layer of top coat gel on them, nails on my left hand were wider than the nails on my right. 2 of my nails were so badly shaped they were curved to the side! The designs weren't detailed like in the photo. About 2 of my nails had bumps on them because she put top coat get on top of debris or dust. I had to ask multiple strangers if they had see the flaws i do, they agreed. So it confirmed that i wasn't provided a 85$ nail service Tuesday i call telling them my concerns. Told me to come in at 2pm I came in , i was instantly greeted with rudeness by Mia , pointed me to sit . You felt how bothered she was by fixing my nails I showed her what i wanted and told me i need to pay an additional 20$ for her to add the chrome. Instead of Mia providing customer service and making sure i left happy & even reassurance that the nails were terrible and i had every right to come back and get them done perfectly, with no extra cost...because that what a business with customer service being their top priority would do right? Absolutely not, she instead wanted to argue with me, flipping the blame on me, and trying to gaslight light me into thinking my nails were long & not medium length , give me attitude, charging for her service to correct my nails & had an excuse for everything Not only she try to use an example of " you go to a restaurant, you eat , you don't like? Too bad no refund" So she saying,Basically you have bad nails? oh well. What mindset is that!!!??? their core values are wacked out. Customer service should be their top priority & satisfaction. Not here. They will flip the blame on customer, never take accountability and allow greed to run through their veins, on top of that, have attitude or BRF A nail tech shouldn't take on a work that is out their reach and if they did, they should be open about it in the beginning & let the customer decide if they want to continue with them or go a different route. So things like this ,what i experienced ,can be avoided I have been a loyal customer here, never complained. I expected better than this from them. *Especially a place that up charge you secretly Which in fact is against the law. As much as Mia provides impeccable nails, her customer service & every other employee's customer service is terrible Why i will no longer go here & as well to anyone else I can. If you don't care about getting great customer service /when you are unhappy w/service.. Just care for the nails, go here. Great experience here! My mom and I got pedicures, we were seen right away and both of our nail techs were amazing! Prices were super reasonable, we got the organic pedis and they were SOOOO relaxing (For reference I'm 9 months pregnant and the hot stones and massage were near coma inducing, 10/10 recommend). We were offered drinks and the techs were so kind. They also helped make me comfortable, assisted with whatever I needed, and very considerate about water temp, pressure, and checking in about my comfort (again, very pregnant over here lol so I appreciated it). Also, the salon itself was super clean, cute, quiet, and overall really relaxing. VO Nails Spa, for me was a fabulous experience, I started with the deluxe pedicure which is $45 the same as my last nail place. It was very relaxing and the nail tech did an awesome job with making sure i was comfortable, my favorite part of getting my feet done is the callus remover and the massaging of the legs and feet- she did an amazing job! I didn't think I'd be writing a bad review on this place considering every other I've seen is amazing and it is what motivated me to try this place out. I was looking forward to getting my nails done because it had been a while considering I am a SAHM, and I also wanted them to look nice for a Mother's Day photoshoot I had coming up. But sadly my nails came out horrible. I asked for a gel mani and pedi on my natural nail thinking it would be a lot faster and easier than getting a full set but I was wrong. My nails ended up looking like I could've just done them at home myself. They were stained and one of my nails was even left with an air bubble. I'll start with, I have had many trips to vo for pedicures and each time has been absolutely fantastic. I have never heard anything negative about their mail work, fingers or toes. I have only seen great things on nails from vo. However, because they offer waxing services I decided to get waxed here. I decided to get a Brazilian. My biggest complaint and worry is that I watched woman who did my work double dip the entire service. If you just take a moment to Google "Double dipping Brazilian waxing" it is "when a stick is used to apply wax and then placed back into the pot of wax again to apply more wax." It's quite telling that worldwide, most countries agree on the banning of double dip waxing practices. The Hair and Beauty Industry Authority considers spatulas single use items and recommends using a new spatula for each dip in the wax pot. In the United States, double dipping is prohibited by esthetician state boards in all 50 states. Double dipping is unprofessional, unsanitary, and unethical. I watched the same stick the entire process, praying it and the wax had not come into contact with someone with MRSA, or an STI that wasn't visible. I am a bad advocate for myself admittedly and didn't feel comfortable stopping the process when I saw her double dip the entire time. I pray that maybe the wax was unused that day and I was the first customer and maybe after each client they let it cool down and they get rid of the wax. But seeing that I walked into the room and things were prepped and the wax was already warm, I have my doubts. I hope this changes for future patrons. read more
