He completed my nails rather quickly, even though he had a lot of customers. The price I was charged seemed very fair and not trying to take advantage. My husband and I recently moved back to the area. This was our first visit to Lovely Nails. We tried walking in then realized they only do appointments. They were kind enough to fit us in the afternoon for two pedicures and a full set. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Everything was clean and well organized. They had cute hallmark movies playing in the background. John was so attentive to what I wanted my nails to look like and how comfortable I was throughout my entire appointment! Absolutely beyond impressed with this nail salon. Not only were they accommodating to me short notice (called the day before to schedule a next day appointment for a full set & pedicure), but they were so kind and helpful to me as I tried deciding what I wanted. All of the staff were very sweet and really detail oriented. Massage chairs are amazing. I was seated in the chair before my appointment time and was able to enjoy the massage chair and a movie they had playing on the TV. My service started EXACTLY on time and the pedicure was just amazing. Hot stones, foot massages, hot towels. The works. John then did my nails following my pedicure. I have never gotten dip powder before and was unfamiliar with the process. The woman at the front desk helped me look through samples and pick ones that worked well with my inspiration photo. I changed my mind last minute and John was perfectly fine with helping me pick a new color. He was so fun to talk to and made sure to ask if the length was okay, the shape was okay, the color was okay, etc throughout the entire service. There was literally no way I could leave unhappy. Stopped by here on my vacation. I'm always super nervous going to new nail salons but this was an emergency. The acrylics I had gotten at my hometown spa were horrible, they were breaking my nails and hurting my fingers so I called today and they got me in so fast and gently took those awful acrylics off and did an absolutely amazing job on my plain white gel manicure. She had to cut all of my nail down because of the damage the acrylics caused but made them beautiful. She was also so gentle with my hands knowing I was hurting because if the acrylics. He is the owner and very kind, definitely knows what he is doing! I got a dip with added tip (45) and a pedicure. It was my first experience with dip and John explained it all to me! I used to come here every time I was in town, but will not go back after today. I came in for a mani pedi and the woman who helped me was very dismissive. She was more concerned with her phone then helping me, and was annoyed with me for asking for the polish I picked out, not the polish she brought over. When I went to pay, the same woman was more concerned with being on a FaceTime call to make eye contact or communicate with me. Honestly I was a bit nervous coming here as this was my first time at this nail salon. I regularly get my nails done every week/week and a half but am in town for a month for work so had to find a place here. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate a walk in for a dip powder manicure and the girl on the phone was very friendly and told me they could. When I showed up there was only one customer getting a manicure as it was during normal working hours on a Monday so I was very happy to see available seats. They welcomed me and showed me the color selections they had for the dip powders. Once I selected a color she began taking off my current powder. I really liked that she wrapped each individual finger as opposed to making me soak my hands in a bowl of acetone like other places sometimes do. She was quick and efficient and my nails came out looking GREAT. I'm so pleased with the shape (which is really big for me) and the over all experience (including cleanliness. They use bags in their pedicure "sinks" and change it after each customer). I'll be coming back for the duration of my stay here and will be a returning customer when I come back next year as well. read more

I had the spa chair pedicure and basic manicure; the lady, who did my nails, was thorough. I wish she would've scrubbed my heels harder but she said mine weren't bad enough for it. I just moved to Swansboro, and have been diligently searching for the "right" salon for pedicures. I consider myself a conniseur of pedicures, and it's important to me that the following occurs: good exfoliation and excellent massage with good products. My friend and I decided to try Lovely Nails, and both of us were in and out in 25 minutes. The nail tech rushed through the entire process. I expect the technician to go slow through the exfoliation with the pumice because I am SENSITIVE and TICKLISH. I can't stand it when a nail tech runs the pumice over my uncalloused areas... so lets just say the exfoliation process sucked here! Then the massage was quick to the point that the nail tech grabbed a towel to rub the remaining lotion off our legs... again rushed shoddy work. I would only frequent this establishment in the future if I needed my nails painted and did not have time to go into Jacksonville to NC NAILS, where the techs work like they give a s*&^ about the customer. Also, the price was pretty high ($25) for a pedicure without an exfoliating salt/sugar scrub of some sort. read more
