Lotus came…read morehighly recommended from a friend who is a frequent shopper and who has never had a bad experience so I decided to give it a shot in preparation for a trip to Las Vegas in 2 weeks. I saw the Mikael sequin dress online but wanted to try it on before purchasing so I called the store yesterday (Friday) to see if they had it. The girl I spoke to over the phone was so nice and so accommodating. She took down my information and told me the dress was available in my size and in both colors as advertised online and that they would hold it for me to try on in store. I asked her where the store was located and she indicated that it was off of Kendall Drive and SW 137th Ave, next to Dandy Bear. I asked her about the stores business hours and what would be the best time to pass by, and she told me they were open till 8 PM and that I should go by today (Saturday) because the dress wouldn't be ready till today (again, Saturday). I specifically asked about the best time because Lotus Couture is located right up the street from my house so I could have come to try it on YESTERDAY but she insisted it wouldn't be ready till TODAY. When I arrived to the store (literally less than 30 minutes ago - I just left) the girl at the counter told me they'd sold the dress yesterday and they didn't have any left! I am so upset about this complete disregard and lack of customer service. I would have bought the dress yesterday had the girl over the phone told me it was available, but she told me it wouldn't be because they had to pull it from storage and it wouldn't be available till today! I can't believe that I was stood up like this, what a TERRIBLE first impression. I had my heart set on trying on this dress and purchasing it for my trip to Vegas. Thanks for nothing Lotus Couture!

So AGHmazing I walked out with 3 dresses instead and returned a week later to purchase 3 more. This is a rarity for me since I'm such a picky shopper. The store is kept clean. The owner is young, sweet and very helpful. She even gave me a discount for my birthday dress purchase. I am in complete aghhhh. Price point is PERFCTION and the quality of clothes is A+++. First, I am a clothing manufacturer that produces overseas. I bought some items from them and had a problem with the last piece. It did not fit and it was not cut to size -- meaning to a size chart. The closure on the piece was on the garment. I was told if I sent it back but it was deemed damaged they would give back the shipping. guess what they got the piece back and told me it was a true fitm yes for a barbie and it was my fault about the closure on the back . I was lucky to get a refund. I recommended their boutique to a friend who became a customer. I know if there is a response it will be that they said I could send it back over two weeks with my friend. I did not know when I would see her and spent one hour at a post office paying to send it back. I told Meagan the manager, who said you should come try clothes on instead of ordering online. I live two hours away and that's why I ordered it online. My friend who is local came to pick it up. I told her based on my experience I would not be shopping there anymore and nor would my friend. She said she did not care that was my choice and to have a good day. Then you wonder why small businesses suffer. Very happy with the quality of the clothing that they had when first walking in. Cute closes are great - but the ones that feel good are even better. Not all that cheap thin stuff that some IG shops con people into. Once you find a great item be prepared for assistants to lead you to get accessories that pair beautifully. Beautiful and unique jewelry and shades. Only lost a star because of sizing availability. Most things are standard S, M, L couldn't find anything in XS or XL and nothing for someone over 5'8 unless you want to pair them with leggings/tights, ankle booties, and a blazer during the winter. (And they sell them all here.) Either way shop local because this place has lots of style.

Honestly, its no different than any part of Miami. I don't know what the big deal is. Mr. Black is a self made business man who started a business with $15 dollars selling socks on a street corner. He is the definition of entrepreneur. His store, like him is full of potential. The clothes is mostly for women although the store is expanding to men's fashion as well. I think the clothes could be best described as sexy. All of the items and bold and most are colorful. All in all, I was excited to meet such an interesting character. Immediately when we walked in, I noticed the not so friendly bubbly staff, several employees at the entrance and counters but no greetings or even a hi from anyone... We went over to the men's section as Jason was looking for a particular type of polo, which he didn't find, and unfortunately no one offered assistance, this store had many employees just walking around. After being felt uncomfortable, we left about a 10 min after arriving. Yes, we could have asked for assistance, but we were already feeling uncomfortable as we entered. Typically at the more higher end stores, you're greeted with a "welcome" by someone! We didn't find what we were looking for so we exited. Perhaps next time we may have a different experience, if we do, I'll update my review then.

And the outlet was my entree for more affordable quality. I'm on their list to get emails and try to take advantage of all their discount offers. My purchases now are their more casual lines and tees. In fact, my "uniform" tends to be one of their logoed tees and a denim skirt. For the last couple years, I've tried to buy new long sleeve tees to replace some old ones. Sadly, they haven't had any with a v-neck or u-neck. Every outlet I've been to. They say, either they haven't come in yet -- or try the men's side. Nooe. Even the men's side here that had long sleeve tees were high neck crews. Sooooo disappointed!!!! Oh well, I'll keep trying... I've been couple of times there and they sell quality items at a great price. Most of the boutiques want to rip off your money but the owner of Coasta Berre knows the fair value of each item. They also take a style questionnaire to keep it on file and for further reference. I like that they have so much variety in this store and they sell local brands as well. They also have more high end stuff from local designer brands. So there is everything for every budget here. Can't wait to go back!
