I had a mail subscription to Vogue. In the last year I did not receive 2 issues. I called customer service twice, each time was told they had to "wait for an update". Never heard back, never received the missing issues, didn't have subscription extended. Besides Vogue is not what it used to be tho still has a few good articles but not worth the price... especially since not all issues arrive and poor customer service. Obviously I cancelled my subscription. read more

Vogue Magazine , what can I say. I've gone through periods where I read it and periods when I could care less. It's all over the news stands here. At times someone will leave a copy in the laundry room and I'll take a look. When I go to a Barnes and Noble or a magazine stand I take a look at Vogue. I read it on line. It's very inexpensive right now if you subscribe. They're offering a year subscription for $10 and two years for $20. It's an enticing offer. I'm one of those people that looks at the photos. I like to go to the library and read the old magazines. I'm still impressed by Anna Winter and her historic rise to fame. This magazine is another way to get my fashion fix! read more

Subscribed for online and Paper magazine + plus a tote on september 2024. No problems with the online part, but it is now February 2025 and I've only received one magazine. Only after I asked for a refund. They claimed it was my mailing address back on November 2024 which I checked and it was correct. It took five months for me to get one magazine mind you it's a year subscription and it's now been 6 month. read more

I've had a subscription to Vogue and I love it. A lot of people have given the magazine negative reviews because of the editor or because of articles, etc., but I don't care. This is not a magazine I read. I really love fashion (always have) and I enjoy flipping through the pages every month looking at the latest styles from the latest designers. It's haute couture, and yes, admittedly, I will never in a million years be able to afford 90% of the items in this magazine, but I still love looking at the fashion nonetheless. I also love photography. I love looking at the photos to see how the photographer positioned the model, to see what lighting was used, to see what propers were used, to see what angles were used, etc. Occasionally, I do read some of the articles if one happens to catch my eye and I am never disappointed. I think the writers do a great job. I think the editor does a great job. The magazine is put together beautifully. This is not a magazine I would purchase off the rack because it is expensive to do so, but it's pretty darn cheap to have a subscription. I won't be canceling or not renew my subscription anytime in the foreseeable future. If you love fashion and/or photography, this is a magazine I highly recommendf! read more

I grew up with a Vogue addiction and always loved the gorgeous supermodels, amazing clothes, and eccentric designers. Unfortunately, in recent years Vogue has insisted in giving the covers to flavor of the month pop singers and actresses instead of the Kates and Naomis of the fashion world. Today I learned from the radio that the next cover features Kim Whoredashian and Kanye West. That's the last straw. The moment the issue arrives in my mailbox, I'm mailing it back to Vogue HQ along with my cancellation. Simply put, you suck, Anna Wintour. read more

I subscribed to vogue on December 1st for the Harry Styles magazine. The subscription said I would get a vogue tote bag and the December issue (Harry Styles). In the middle of December I called and said I never received anything they said they will send another one and that I should be receiving it in about two weeks. Now January comes, I received the January issue but not the December one or tote bag. I send multiple e-mails stating I never got what I initially signed up for, they responded stating that there is no more December issue and the they are all out of the tote bags...so the person on the phone that said they sent another one through lied? So you had a ton of people sign up for that specific issue knowing you guys didn't have enough? So pretty much I subscribed for no reason? Smh I'm so disappointed read more

Besides the obvious (models that look like concentration camp survivors, catalog of ads with a few articles sprinkled in conservatively), I have a general problem with the ideals of this magazine as any thinking person should. I got a dirt cheap subscription on one of those magazine discount website so I had a year to absorb this. In general, the articles and layouts lacked imagination. Fur ads in this day and age are laughable. The colonial tone of articles related to Africa was evident and the absurd picture they painted of Brazil shows just how foolish their writers are. Often times, their reviews come across as press releases. I bet that if they were to do an article on Darfur, they'd applaud the diversity, boutiques and well-dressed militia. In addition to celebrating anorexia (because naturally thin size 00 girls don't have that look of despair that they desperately try to capture with the back hunched, small bracelet hanging from biceps), they turn their noses up to people of color. With the exception of very prominent people like Iman or new it-girl Jennifer Hudson, there's little coverage given to designers of colors (Philip Lim, Tracey Reese, Vera Wang) or models, celebs and socialites of color. In a huge auditorium, my Japanese culture prof was taking a survey (show of hands type). He would call out the names of magazines, in that imperious and esoteric way that made everything he said sound multi-dimensional and sardonic. He wanted to know who read what. People would raise their hands honestly ("'Rolling Stone'?"), jokingly ("'Highlights'?"), and pretentiously ("'New Yorker'?"). Then, he asked, "'Vogue?'" I was the only one to raise my hand, and boy, did I feel self-conscious about it. Every twenty-year-old head turned to look at me when my professor said, "Really? No one else? Well, everyone look at your one classmate who takes the time to read *good* writing." I don't mean this as a declaration of my good taste (hopefully my other reviews will show that to you with time). I cite this story to defend an excellent publication that balances commercialism, beauty, and worldliness in a still-relevant fashion magazine. No, Vogue is not written for people shopping on an Abercrombie budget. I rarely can afford more than two things per issue. But Vogue is the flagship of style and culture for a very influential class of people--and those people often end up deciding the look for Abercrombie a few months later. The writing is unusually high-quality; I think Conde Nast Traveler is the only magazine that compares. The photography is gorgeous, and true to actual fashion lovers, the Vogue editors aren't afraid to do some daring things in their shoots. So, if you do love art in any form, I think you would appreciate the photos and layouts of this excellent magazine. You can hate the trends and ideals that are perpetuated by the magazine, but I challenge you to find another fashion or women's magazine that doesn't push these ideals on you too (via either editorials or advertising). Give Vogue its due for being a long-standing and superior publication. read more

I got a free Vogue subscription 2 months ago with the purchase of a Dermalogica skincare product. I thought it was an odd free gift given the purchase, but I am surprised at how much I love it! The writing is actually very, very good, which I did not expect. The magazine provided thoughtful, fascinating written portraits of Miyuki Hatoyama (Japan's former first lady) and Fatima Bhutto, niece of Benazir (I just bought Fatima's memoir, and I am looking forward to reading more about her life)! And, I think they have a lot of featured women of different shapes and colors, but I've only been a subscriber for two months now; August and September. Halle Berry looked beautiful on the September cover, both of the aforementioned women who were profiled are of different ethnic backgrounds, and there was even an article "To Have or Not To Have" about curvier women vs. flatter women, and how this year's fashion runways are celebrating different body types. So perhaps the magazine listened to all of you earlier reviewers, and I get to reap the benefits! If the magazine continues to produce outstanding issues such as the last two, I will actually pay for a subscription! Nice job, Vogue. =) read more

I only read this after I get a haircut now. I've never had a subscription because I don't really know where the ads end and the magazine starts. In high school, this was the thickest magazine I ever bought. My college also stocks international editions. There's a men's version too. read more

My mom worked for Conde Nast for many years, and as such, I grew up with it on the coffee table at home. And you know what? It never made me self conscious or worried about my body image, because my mother took the time to tell me I was beautiful and to remind me I was not supposed to look like the girl on the cover. Instead, I learned to love the beauty of couture clothing, to admire the art that it truly is. And while my pathetic attempt at making my own clothing hasn't progressed much further than heart patches on old jeans, I'm OK with that, cuz I can just go read Vogue. read more

First off, my boyfriend gave me a year's subscription as a gift in September of 2010 and I still haven't received a single issue. I do receive Vogue junk mail saying I can get a "free" gift for a small price and by renewing a subscription I've never received. He has gotten in touch with them and they acknowledged the problem and said that I would be getting 3 months of extra issues to makeup for the 3 months the magazine never came and 1 month later still no magazine. All they send me is junk mail. It's very frustrating! I get other fashion magazines and tho I don't buy those kind of super expensive products it does give me a taste for where fashion is going and I can buy the trends from stores in my price range. No one I know looks like any of the super skinny and not particular pretty models, but they are, in my opinion, supposed to be almost like human hangers so I don't care that I might not look like they do in the clothes featured. I just can't believe that that's the way they do business. I get no magazines for almost 4 months but a ton of junk mail from them. So they have my correct address they are just not sending me the magazine! This has all been relayed to them as well and hopefully they will issue a full refund ASAP! read more
