I found her to remain loyal to her staff while trying to satisfy the client. I had a very disappointing experience with Skin Vitality at the Stoney Creek location. I went there…read morefor CoolSculpting for my chin/submental area because the clinic presents itself as a medically supervised aesthetic provider and I trusted their expertise. Over the course of my treatment, I returned multiple times with the same concern: my chin area was not improving and appeared to be getting worse. Each time I came back asking for guidance, I was advised to purchase additional CoolSculpting cycles. As a patient relying on their professional judgment, I followed their recommendations. The clinic took serial photos during my treatments. Those photos show a clear progression of the issue compared to my pre-treatment baseline. I was eventually assessed with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a known but serious complication of cryolipolysis where fat grows instead of shrinking and often requires surgical correction. When I raised this issue with the clinic and asked for a refund for the treatments that were sold after the problem was clearly developing, Skin Vitality refused. Communication was handled by their team member Sarah, and eventually the clinic simply stated they would provide "no further commentary." I even escalated the issue directly to the company's owner, Eleanor Welsh, but she has been unavailable to address the matter. What has been most concerning is not just the complication itself, but how the situation was handled: continued sales of additional treatments while the issue appeared to worsen, and then a refusal to engage meaningfully when I asked for accountability. As a patient, you rely on clinics like this for professional guidance and honest treatment planning. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
