There is a younger gentleman that has been there too. I believe he's a family member, too. The first time I went, I parked and had a quarter ready to pay for my parking. He told me that parking is free on the weekends. I thanked him for the info and he proceeded to hold the door open for me when I entered the store. The last time I went, the owner and his wife had just locked up the store and was heading to their car. They stopped to ask me what I needed. I told them I was there to get a Sunday paper. He apologized and explained they had a family emergency but I could come in the morning and they would have one put aside for me. I wished them well and told them to go attend to their family, but I appreciated their thoughtfulness. I was told by a couple of people who frequent this newsstand that they like coming here for the same reason. It is nice to see people who genuinely care about their customers.

Every time it rains or snows, I receive a water-soaked paper...completely unreadable. I have been a subscriber for over 40 years and I sorely miss my former delivery person (Rosie). To make matters worse, I have called to complain several times but no one (supervisors and all) can correct the problem. And I can never get a replacement paper. Poor, unacceptable service. I just cancelled my subscription.

Great record store with one MAJOR fault. Sticker pricing…read morethe record with extra sticky price stickers on the actual cover or back corner. I bought $90 worth of records and three of them were ruined even after I blew dried them to help warm up the glue. I guess the eXtra sticky sticker makes it a nightmare for thieves to switch prices, but a worse nightmare for the person paying for it. Maybe if they don't use such sticky stickers when pricing it it might be gentler? Otherwise. Great selection, above average condition, helpful staff. Super amazing store. Best in CT!
