I wish that I could rate this salon more than just 5 stars! I'd give it my review 100 stars, at least! I wanted to take the time to write a well-deserved glowing review for the best hair stylist and salon I have ever given my business to. Kymm Smith, owner of Voila, is a lovely and kind lady that I have known for many years. She is a very caring, genuine individual and with over 30 years of experience in this industry, she is incredibly knowledgeable in her craft. Kymm's daughter, Tia, has followed in her Mom's footsteps and is also a familiar face with the biggest smile to greet you that you'll find at Voila. I always feel super comfortable in Kymm's chair. It's like stepping into a friend's kitchen and is a warm and relaxing environment. Kymm really listens to what your needs / wants are and she'll be honest with you as to whether a certain color or foil will look right on you or not. I always respect her opinion which comes from her vast expertise and dedication to her craft. Besides giving great hair outcomes, Kymm gives THE BEST scalp massages when shampooing, conditioning and rinsing your hair. Frankly that is my FAVORITE part of my visit! I appreciate and value the care that I receive from Kymm Smith and her Voila family and I don't mind the 45 minute drive to see her every 5-6 weeks. I had my wedding this weekend and Voila did such an amazing job on everyone's hair. From our first phone call they were incredibly helpful and easy. When we got there everyone was lovely to work wirh and really listened to what we wanted and was extremely accommodating. I have a lot of very difficult hair and she did a great job doing exactly what I wanted! All the ladies loved their hair! Definitely recommend. read more

I cannot recommend Voila Salon enough!! They did my hair as well as my bridal party's on the day of my wedding. Kymm and Tia were the most accommodating and went above and beyond to schedule our appointment at the last minute (due to Covid). Opal did my hair for my rehearsal dinner and wedding and the results were amazing! All of the stylists were incredible. We had the salon to ourselves for the majority of the morning. The salon practiced social distancing, wore masks (our masks were worn with the exception of makeup application), and sanitization of stations while we were in the salon. We felt safe and appreciated their enthusiasm to make the day as special and normal as possible! read more

My friend and I went for pedicures and eyebrow waxes on a whim on a Saturday afternoon. It was great that we were able to get same day appointments and the ladies that took care of us were very friendly and did a great job. The only thing that could have made it more enjoyable would have been massaging chairs =) Prices were fair- not super cheap, but not outrageous either. read more

Since my review was taken down, I will again say I was met with rudeness from my stylist at a really important time before my son's wedding. After months of experimenting, I decided I wanted to go darker and with highlights. The stylist was upset at the change. I even called to reserve more time as suggested. My stylist had a real attitude but I got the color and a lot of attitude and resistance. Thankfully, I left and canceled my next appointment. I was able to get an appointment at a respectful salon, who not only corrected the haircut cut I got at Voila, which needed it, but gave me the personal attention to complete the highlights I needed to complete my hair project with literally hours to spare for my son's wedding. Highly disappointed and would never recommend again. I've never been treated so rudely by a stylist. read more

Had been thinking of a hair cut for weeks and decided today would be the day. Randomly called this establishment and was delighted when they had an appointment available. Haven't been there before and found the location easy to navigate. Right in and right out, which I love. Melissa knew just how to carry a conversation right and made me feel at ease as she began to cut away. Was in love with the whole experience. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, great prices. I went in to fix my box dyed hair. I knew I had messed it up. And don't get my wrong the fixed it and did a great job but the ENTIRE 3 hours that I was in the salon I was judged (out loud) and rude comments were made regarding my hair. I am young and knew I had made a mistake and that's why I was fixing it. The hair dresser didn't make conversation with me or even try to make me feel better. I was ridiculed so badly that I left in tears. And at the end of it they charged me a ridiculous amount. Again, I would just like to clarify that the dying job they did was really great and I love it, but the way I was treated was terrible and embarrassing. They let me know (multiple times and multiple people) that I had messed up. read more

I live locally, but had never been to this salon. I figured I'd call and make an appointment. I recently bought very nice clip in hair extensions. My salon I usually go to is in Boston, but I didn't want to drive that far. I wanted to bring them in and have them trimmed and maybe find a local salon I can occasionally go to. This very rude man answered the phone and basically tried to make me feel almost embarrassed for having extensions. I simply explained I wanted to have my hair trimmed and extensions trimmed. He made me feel so uncomfortable calling. He basically said " it's against company policy and we face lawsuits cutting extensions. No one will do this. Sorry. We can't help you" Really?? Then he kept saying,"even if we could, it's Saturday. I have no appointments today or any day for you". What an absolute unprofessional jerk. I called another salon in Meredith and no problem. Gave me a beautiful cut and trimmed extensions. She laughed when I told her what this guy said and never heard of a lawsuit for trimming a clip in extension. Oh well. I will make sure I tell everyone about this place and warn them. I hope the owner reads this and gets rid of this guy. I have many colleagues and friends around there and I've spread the word. read more
