Right off the bat this is an awesome steakhouse. If you are in the suburban Sydney area and want to get serious value for your money head to Volcano's steakhouse. Located in Parramatta this restaurant stands out for the quality of food and service. We got here without a reservation and they accommodated us immediately. The server was out immediately to the table with menu and available to answer any questions or concerns. I had one if the meat is halal the answer was a firm yes and we were off to the races. I ordered the scotch filet steak medium well along with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies and it turned out to be extra delicious. I paired it along with the creamy mushroom sauce which added to the taste. They have some awesome drink options. I love anything lemon so ordered the lemon lime mint. 5 stars all the way. Watch out! This place does get busy!!! This restaurant was booked out, however they were kind enough to allow us to have a meal with no booking at a table that was reserved about 90 minutes later (time enough to have a relaxing meal). The restaurant was very clean with wait staff all over the place that were friendly & helpful. Fairly large selection on the menu where we had a garlic bread to start off with, and we chose the chicken avocado & the chicken skewers for mains. The wait staff even tell you an approximate delivery time of the meal to your table. Watch out though, this restaurant is alcohol free. The decor in the restaurant is pretty cool & the way they serve their large drinks is pretty funky - never seen anything like it, but put a smile on my face. The garlic bread was yum yum yum and at this point I was thinking to myself, even if the main meal was half decent, they were on their way to getting 5 stars. Fortunately for this place, the it wasn't half delicious, it was full on mouth watering. My chicken avocado was to die for, with an amazing sauce. One bit of advice for this restaurant though, is that the chicken skewers dish looked a bit bland - just needed a little bit of colour on the plate, however I did try it & was delicious (though a little side salad would probably accompany this meal quite well). While in town on a business trip a work mate and I decided to stop by as we were craving steak. I believe I ordered the eye fillet steak and gravy for sauce (writing this review a bit late but pretty sure it was the eye fillet.) At $34.90 I got quite a large plate full which is great. The steak was cooked very well but only slightly missed the mark of being amazing (too much char). The chips were yummy and the salad delicious. I walked away nursing a bit of a food baby after our visit. One big downside was that the venue is completely non-alcoholic. When ordering I was searching the drinks menu for a beer list when my work colleague asked for a bourbon in a tall glass. The waitress informed him that it was a non-alcoholic bourbon. I didn't even know non-alcoholic bourbon existed and remember the price being something around $9, which is ridiculous for something with no alcohol (Online menu shows $5.90 I'm guessing for a small glass). We both ended up going with standard coke. Their website doesn't list anything about BYO either. Overall the food was nice, service was quick for us but it was a very quiet night, so it might not be on other nights. If you're not a drinker and looking for a good steak stopping here shouldn't let you down. We have been here twice and both on a voucher. Cold water is served by glass as soon as you sit down. Lunchtime was a seafood platter to share. The fish was the pick on the platter. Prawns were good too. It is served on a board which is covered in chips. We could have done without the huge amount of chips but that may suit others. The salad was very fresh and not an afterthought as it often in is other restaurants. The soft drink was served in one of the largest glasses I have seen in Australia so generally you shouldn't have to order a second glass. Breakfast was the protein platter with eggs done in a little Spanish pan. They kept hot throughout the meal. There was mashed avocado to have with the grilled chicken; butter for the toast and fresh asparagus as well. This was an excellent breakfast. On both occasions we have arrived 30 minutes after the advertised opening times only to be either met with a shut door (lunchtime 12:30pm) or to be told that breakfast isn't served until 10:00am (after being advertised as 9:00am). On the lunchtime occasion all we could do was walk around the block as we had booked for 12:30. There was no booking needed for the breakfast so when we were told it would be another 30mins before the cook was on duty I suggested sitting and having a coffee could be a plan. On neither occasion, were our enquiries about opening times actually explained. Once our food was ordered it came out in a timely fashion. The restaurant was quite empty on both occasions so I am not sure how they would handle high volume. There are plenty of TVs on the walls inside the restaurant and there is seating outside under cover. Keep a lookout for the vouchers as it it worth a try but be mindful it may not be open when you get there. read more

we booked a dinner for 5 for my son's 26th birthday on 29th March 2023. We arrived on time and placed our orders. It took them 45 minutes to bring our orders. The beef burgers we ordered had reduced in size by almost 40% and half of chips were over cooked. The price of the burger has also increased by 25%. The chicken with mushroom sause arrived cold and lacked flavor. We have been to this resurtant before (6 weeks ago) and the food was great. I am afraid due to the poor service and quality of the food we will not be coming back to this place. read more

They had a living social breakfast voucher with two different options. We showed up on a Saturday morning and had a delightful breakfast. It was a huge platter to share . We came to this restaurant last Friday to celebrate my twin brothers 30th birthday. We were all in a jovial mood, happy for the opportunity to see and hang out with each other. That's where the joy ended. It was the first time I'd dined at this establishment and boy, will it be the last. I ordered an eye fillet with mash and veggies. By the time the food finally came out (yep, service was slow, but as I said, we were out to chat, laugh and celebrate, so the wait wasn't a problem for us) it was terrible! My eye filet was tiny, I kid you not. It's like they cut a standard eye fillet in half to save money, and I got a tiny bit of meat. When I went to dig into the meat, I noticed at least a third of it was rubbery fat. I called the waiter to inform him that I normally choose the eye fillet because it's a lean cut. The waiter said it was impossible to get a completely lean cut of meat. This didn't impress me, as a meat eater, I've had my fair share of steaks and I know for a fact it's not true. To their credit, after I'd raised my complaint, the waiter offered to take my meal away and provide a new one. (Which I am sure meant cut the fat off and return the same plate to me). At this point, I was so turned off my steak, I asked that they take it away and take it off the bill. I was there with 7 other people who all said heir meals were pretty average and also would not return. One star is far too generous. This place is a place you would go once in a while the first time I came here was last year we all had separate food in the afternoon I had seafood pasta it was good by itself My dads ribs were tender and I love the potato mash but I wouldn't eat more than one meal it would overwhelm the flavour and it will be hard to eat Its better off picking one meal and stick to one meal Yesterday I've eaten the ribs with potato mash it was good but it could've been better without the layer of fat it made me a little sick sadly I couldn't manage to finish Seafood pasta was good Signature dish an interesting dish with a lot of combination Sauteed mushroom were excellent with the meat however the top meat was dry for a medium rare the one below was just right tomatoes were lovely but not sun dried as it says on the menu and prawns on the corner were a little greasy This steakhouse is overall great but it can be greater if they improve on their meat by getting rid of the excess fat And also note to all customers eat one meal and that's it don't eat and munch on another This steakhouse food proportions are big so I suggest to pick one meal each person If you're a little fragile like me read more

I used to eat here before Wanderers home matches, but no longer. I asked the waiter for a table for two, and while I waited for my friend to arrive, I ordered two chicken burgers. After half an hour, long after my friend had arrived, the waiter brings only one burger. When I ask the waiter where the other burger is, he tells me I only ordered one. No apology, no further discussion, just his statement of "fact". Actually, I know what I ordered mate. But don't worry, there won't be a next time. I have eaten at Volcano's a few times and each time it was splendid. The staff are nice and friendly and are ready to serve you. The steak that I usually order is great and on most occasions come out relatively quickly, however can take longer when you come in a larger group as they try to serve all the food together. Disappointing food and very very slow service is about the only way I can describe Volcanoes. I ate there with a group of workmates a few months ago and the food took over over 1/2 hour to come out and some people had to cancel and bolt back to work. Last week we thought we'd give it another go and this time we thought we'd be smart and send one person down to order ahead. We turned up and STILL waited about 40 mins to get our food. I got the steak with chips and diane sauce and it was nothing to write home about. With so much competition for lunch venues in Church Street I have no idea how they're still operating. You can walk 50m in any direction and get a better feed at a lower price and it will land on your table a whole lot faster. Personally if its steak and chips you're after I'd head a few doors up to The Crown and you'll have it on your table in no time at all for $12 with a schooner of beer! read more

Volcanos is a good option for steak in Parramatta. I got the New York Strip which was a tad over cooked ,more medium than medium rare. Service was quick and attentive. Food is okay but cleanliness wise I will not bet on it. Last night as we are having our dinner saw a cockroach crawling on the floor. I have to call one of the waitress and point it out to her. She went inside and grab a broom to disperse the crawlers. I told my friends and was totally disgusted, one of my friend was thinking if we should continue with our order, but we feel sorry for them so we stick around. Then the lady came out with our entrees, she place it on top of this weird looking wired thingy but as soon as she place it on the food on the tray fell into my friend side and the waitress started to put all the food back on the tray with her hand. The other guy said just take it back inside and re-assemble it. Should they be throwing that out and give us a new one? We are definitely NOT coming back! read more
