She was safe, happy and content in their hands. We never received a call asking us to solve a problem or issue that arose. The cook came to see me when menu did not meet my likes and offered substitute. Place was clean most staff were very attentive. Staff Dr was insufferable jerk. Would not allow him in my room. A very competent assistant came to see me. Director of nursing came to see me daily. A good friend of mine had been here many times and spoke highly if the facility. He was not easily pleased. Third shift charge nurse was not a nice person. She certainly seemed out of place in comparison to other staff. And that is the end of my review.

My grandmother was admitted here for short term rehabilitation after a stroke. She was supposed to…read morestay about 20 days, but we chose to transfer her early because we did not feel she was receiving the level of care she needed. She became paralyzed on the left side of her body and came here specifically for therapy and rehabilitation to regain movement. During roughly 13 days at this facility, she only received therapy a few times. It reached the point where my family had to step in and do much of the work themselves like massaging her, helping move her limbs, applying lotion, changing her socks, and trying to keep her comfortable because staff did not seem to be attentive to these basic needs. For a rehab center, this was extremely disappointing. My grandmother is diabetic, non verbal after her stroke, and fully dependent on caregivers. We were told she would be checked every six hours, but this schedule did not feel appropriate for someone in such a vulnerable condition. She spent long periods bedridden and developed significant discomfort, especially from not being repositioned frequently. Watching her in pain was heartbreaking. There were also interactions with staff that felt unprofessional and dismissive when we asked for help or clarification. Instead of compassion, we were often met with rude tones or comments that made it seem as if our questions were an inconvenience. This made it very hard to trust that our grandmother was being treated with patience and respect. We also observed other concerning situations in the facility. For example, we repeatedly saw residents sitting uncomfortably in wheelchairs without assistance, including two residents who had to push each other because staff were not helping them. These kinds of things raised serious concerns about overall attentiveness and staffing. To be fair, not everyone here was uncaring. Michael, Wanda, and Becky consistently showed kindness and compassion toward my grandmother, and Wanda helped arrange additional care and testing when we voiced our concerns. We are truly grateful for them. Unfortunately, not all shifts had staff like them, and care depended too much on "who was working that day." Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility for loved ones who cannot advocate for themselves or who are fully dependent on staff for movement and communication. Vulnerable patients deserve consistent, gentle, and attentive care, not minimal check ins and families doing the majority of the work. We ultimately transferred my grandmother to another center, where she is finally receiving the care she needs. I hope this facility seriously improves staff training, professionalism, and basic patient care, because the people who live here deserve better.

My first step was speaking with the owner (TT) and he made me feel at ease and comfortable with checking the place out. I then flew to Houston and toured the place and the facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. TJ, the manager (is a gem) has been so nice to work with, extremely helpful and gives me updates on my father (I am in a different state). Every time I talk to my father he tells me that everyone is very helpful and very nice to him! Picking a new home for an elderly parent is such a difficult and overwhelming process, Good Living Community made the decision and transition so much easier. Highly recommend!

I was given the name of Good Living Community Care by a placement company (sorry can't remember who but she was great too!) After 2 full months here at GLCC Mom has not been sick ONCE! The other $8500/mo. nursing home she was in the emergency room 3 times. Mom is happy and healthy and lucid finally. the Manager, Monica, is a real gem and God send. Everyone at this very personal care facility is helpful, accommodating to the point of unbelievable and just as sweet as can be. Wanni, the Asst Mgr, (def not spelled right) is absolutely fabulous, keeps Mom company, interacts a lot with her and makes her laugh. SO GOOD TO SEE! They even have a wonderful stylist who comes to make Mom feel beautiful, Iris Giron, washing, cutting her hair and doing Moms nails and she's very affordable. Speaking of which for all this personal care I pay less than 1/2 of what I was paying at the nursing home. Maritime Pharmacy, takes care of all Moms meds, they have a RN visit as needed and a physical therapist 2x's a week. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is!

They were extremely polite, patient, and most of all empathetic, a very rare quality in the industry. They were informative and every staff member was actually listening to me, even the pharmacist who was funny and genuine. When nearly every medical clinic in the area casually quoted ridiculous office visit prices, the staff at Bee actually helped me plan out my payment options. They even followed up with me the day after and it further solidified my appreciation for everything they did. While I don't want a reason to return, I'll be confident that I'll be taken care of if I ever do.

The entire team was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They truly knew exactly what to do to make my post-op recovery as comfortable and smooth as possible.
