I cannot recommend this company based on the following facts (for which I have documentation for all): - Estimate made, and contract signed on 7-18-25 by my daughter for her Doylestown house via DocuSign. Total for just 10 shutters, installed: $7,862 - The estimate included detailed specs of the special order shutters. Based on a 3 month estimate of ordering and install, we proceeded - Two payments were made and multiple phone calls and emails were made inquiring as to why as of November 1 they shutters were still not installed - Finally, on November 24th, the shutters were installed - Final bill received and I asked the manager for a $300 discount due to egregiously long time frame to install, (which he tried to blame on us), and he refused to provide what would have amounted to a 3.8% discount - I chose this company based on reviews. A thoughtful and skilled team that respected our historic home We live in a home designed by R. Brognard Okie, and the original cedar roof had reached the end of its life. Because the house is historically designated, we had to preserve the pole gutters and step flashing -- not easy or cheap to do. As teachers, our budget didn't leave room for a full cedar replacement, so we talked to a lot of roofing companies, from sky-high "purist" quotes to suspiciously cheap ones that didn't inspire confidence. Ted from Volpe was the first person who really listened. He came up with a creative solution: use architectural asphalt shingles but preserve the copper details that define the house. That plan balanced authenticity, durability, and affordability. After Ted left the company, things went quiet for a bit, and we worried the project might stall. But once Gregory became our project manager, everything turned around. He's energetic, conscientious, and genuinely good-natured. He stayed in touch, coordinated around the other work we were doing ourselves, and handled every question without hesitation. The garage roof was completed in a day, and the house followed with exceptional attention to detail. The copper work, done by Diego and John, is extraordinary -- they recreated the original pole gutters and flashing with real craftsmanship. Now we have a roof that looks beautiful, protects the house, and keeps the historic character intact. Total dishonest company. After my 80 year old disabled veteran father paid $30,000 (against my fervent pleas) for a roof replacement and an additional $250 to replace cable lines that Volpe company left dislodged, Greg calls my father 6 months later to collect $400 for extra plywood used. Greg shamed my dad because he didn't check email correspondence from Volpe. (He doesn't even know how to get emails anymore) When I told this to Greg he said, 'Well, that's the problem right there!' I personally spoke with Greg a week after the job was completed and he assured me the job was complete and he would have the large dumpster and debris removed from my father's driveway. To our understanding the job was complete and my father continues to make payments on the loan that paid for this roof. Shame on you Volpe for adding unnecessary stress to an elderly customer who paid you in full. S/N: My father received a phone call 3 months post job completion from a Volpe representative checking on his satisfaction of the job and if there was any other 'work' that needed to be done. No mention of extra plywood costs. Make it make sense. Do better, Volpe. read more

I had a highly disappointing experience with this contractor regarding James Hardie Siding. The project manager claimed to be a "James Hardie expert," and the estimator, Anthony, assured me of the same. Despite that: * They used nails I did not consent to -- specifically, 16g finish nails instead of the specified ring shank nails. * The contract explicitly called for ring shank nails, in line with Hardie Tech support recommendations, as I provided proof from Hardie Tech confirming this when meeting with the estimator, Anthony. * They used 16 g finish nails for face nailing, which is against Hardie's recommendations for wind, and in general for face nailing. * They did not install the siding flush or snug as required in their technical documents. The nails are mostly counter sunk. * In addition, some are not the required distance from the edge of the planks. Nor was touch up paint used everywhere. * They performed work on areas they were not authorized to do so on. Hardie Tech support confirmed that: * The nails used are not ideal for the wind conditions we are facing, and additional nails will now be necessary. * I cannot caulk or paint over the counter sunk nails and not void the warranty. Additional concerns: * The nails they used are rusting in a test, which would contradict their claim that they are stainless. Being counter sunk means they are more likely to result in problems. Paint must fully seal the areas and be reapplied as necessary. * I requested they confirm they are stainless and provide a label etc., but they chose not to respond with this. Their choice of finish nails used are not only a breach of contract, but also likely to rust (unless they can prove otherwise), compromising the integrity of the siding and ultimately will require replacements vs. caulk and paint. They will also require the appropriate ring shanks to secure them resulting in more holes. This is unacceptable for relatively new and costly siding. Despite emails informing them of the concerns and my request for a refund and compensation for the repairs: * They mentioned they do not warranty the work and claimed that there was a misunderstanding -- which is unacceptable, given the clear specifications and documentation I provided. * They seem to think that telling me they are stainless steel, makes their errors acceptable. It does not. I feel they misrepresented their expertise. They did not respond to my request for confirmation of the nail labels and material and how intended to repair. I also requested Anthony be present for a walk through upon hearing back, and they chose to disregard my last two emails. Would not recommend for anyone. read more

They came out quickly for the estimate but it took a long time for the "serious problem" to be fix. It was reasonably priced. We got a quote for a 8x8 bathroom renovation for around 35,000, that would take a few weeks to complete once the project started, so we passed on the bathroom renovation. read more

Pete came to look at a window that I had tried to clean and in the process split the sash and frame. It was also very difficult to close. He suggested I try calling Anderson as my window is an Anderson. The person on the phone wanted all these different numbers located in various places on the window . Pete took the time to look for the information she was asking for. It was challenging to say the least! In the end the Anderson Rep suggested I call an Anderson installer out of NJ. Pete gave me his cell phone number and said to please call him no matter what direction I go in. I am using the company suggested, but i appreciate the effort!! If i have any home renovations in the futureI would call Volpe in a second. So refreshing to deal with honest helpful people. read more

Less than a one star. in addition to the sub par door job they did ($6500), they also did a roofing job in 2019 ($6,700). when they replaced the roof, they removed our attic fan in favor of a ridge vent on top. This was very bad advice, an attic fan is essential to circulating air and keeping the attic and second floor of our home cool. and they left the live ac wire floating in our attic. it will now cost $3,800 to rectify their screw up. Very difficult to work with. We had all of our siding and gutters replaced 2 years ago now, multiple mistakes made throughout the entire process from ordering to install, some of which I blamed on the pandemic and difficulty getting supplies but it seems that is not the only problem. We had water leak in our house after they replaced our gutters when they didn't seal around a pipe correctly. We have had standing water in one of the gutters since install which I have been trying to have them deal with for the last 6 months and every time I call it's like starting all over again and no one knows what I am talking about. If I could give e zero rating I would. I have them come out to clean my gutters. The first crew didn't do the job correctly, and they had another crew come out to resolve. Candidly they made things worse. They readjusted the gutter on the back of the house, and now the gutter is too far from the house and the water leaks from the front of the gutter. Also I gave the crew instructions that when they leave to please shut the gate behind them because I have dogs, well they left the gate open and they got out and almost got hit by a car. Bottom line is they are terrible and do NOT use them!!! read more

Volpe enterprises was recommended to me by long time friends who live in Hatfield pa and had a slate roof in need of replacement. Volpe did an exceptional job where other roofing companies did not want the job or priced it high not to get the business. Volpe replaced my 1880's carriage house roof located in Erdenheim in July of 2021, including cupola, copper flashing etc., and yet again did an exceptional job. My sisters roof located in oreland, needed to be replaced the following year, yet again Volpe did a great job. Lastly, this month, December 2023, I contracted with sales person Jonathan and project manager Gregory to replace the roof of an investment property in Reading PA. This was a small historic home with unique built in gutters and a cupola, once again, everyone was friendly and professional with exceptional workmanship/quality. Thanks again Volpe Team! This company is a scam!! We purchased a brand new roof from this company with a warranty that expires in 2035! They scammed us, our roof is now VERY bad and needs to be replaced, we contacted the warranty company and they sent Volpe out to inspect our roof. Volpe came out and went on our roof three or four times and went in the attic three times, took plenty of pictures and a report, sat down with us and explained that our roof needs major repairs however the problem was that the shingles are now no longer available nor the color so the whole roof would have to be replaced! He said he would turn in his notes and someone would get back to us in a week or two. Two months passed and we heard nothing back so I called, I got the run around back and forth then was told that the report was wrong and the pictures were foggy so they need someone else to come out! No, they are trying to run a scam on us they do not want to give us a new roof! They told the warranty company that they never came out to our home and did not provide the inspection to them! Called the owner and left a message and they will not contact us back! DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRENTY FROM THEM IT IS A SCAM TO GET MORE MONEY FROM YOU! I was going to give 3 stars because the jobs look good from a distance, but since they're not responding to my calls, it's down to two. Made a HUGE mistake hiring them to do do 3 jobs at once. A new entry door with sidelites, a new entry door to my garage, and built a 3 season room. Very expensive and poorly done. They're finish work is terrible. 4 visits for the same issue and it gets worse each time. For a company that relies heavily on caulk, you would think they would be better at it. They cap wood in reverse, allowing water in at the top of door casings. They say caulk will solve the problem. 4 rainstorms later, and after several requests, they finally caulked-only the side trim though, thinking you won't notice that they didn't do the tops of 2 exterior doors. They measured wrong for a bank of windows and rather than order a smaller window, they decided to eliminate several studs in the wall instead, only one stud on each side of an exterior door(no jack studs). If you know anything about construction, you will be disappointed. They hung an entry door in my garage without a single shim. After 6 months, insisted that I finalize the financing, even though they weren't done, or I may have to pay out of pocket. I reluctantly approved and haven't heard back from them since. If you MUST use them, avoid Provia doors. They are terrible. Sidelites on the new front entrance had gouged fiberglass. They agreed to replace them, now the replacements are worse than the originals. Still no response from Volpe. Volpe/Provia/Greensky Financing, quite the scam. read more

Volpe installed a skylight in my home. The project was estimated to be completed within five weeks of receiving the deposit. As the weeks went by my project consultant kept dropping the ball. He did not reply to my emails requesting info on when the project would take place. He did not reply to my voicemails. He omitted a request to include blinds with the skylight. He failed to send pictures of my roof rafters to the foreman (as I later heard from the foreman). Unfortunately, Volpe then installed the incorrect model skylight in my home. It was a non-venting unit ($1000 cheaper than the one I paid for). They did replace the skylight, but they were unwilling to give me a discount due to the inconvenience. I was forced to take another day off work for the job to be redone and lost wages as a result. The production team (those swinging the hammer) did a nice enough job. One gentleman encouraged the other roofer to hurry up and not be such a perfectionist... not what you want to hear when work is being done on your home. However, they did a nice job with the work. Interestingly, they have very little loyalty to Volpe (just hired hourly employees). They mentioned not caring that they have to redo my job. The foreman was very knowledgeable and helpful. Prior to the start of the job he examined the work site and patiently answered my questions. He was definitely the highlight of my experience with Volpe. If you choose Volpe, make sure you have very detailed documentation regarding every feature to be included for your project with dates for the work. Also, request a new project consultant immediately if it feels like you have a dud. The qualities that Volpe tout, Honesty-Quality-Integrity, look great on the side of a truck, but they are not practiced by the management team. read more

Volpe did a bathroom remodel and I am still paying the price to fix all of their screw ups three years later bad paint in a bathroom bubbling up, bad pipes clogging and had to pay real plumber to fix, All because they DO NOT honor their warranty claims or do professional work and over run on time to do the project.
