We've been working with them for years trying to get the leak in our laundry room corrected, even paid for a complete tear-off and whole new roof and six brand new windows and new siding... Essentially tens of thousands of dollars that we've paid and we still have a leak in our laundry room and now they refuse to come out and fix it. I used to recommend them to everyone. Never again. Not to mention when their window installers came they milked the clock and sat in our driveway smoking for approximately 2 hours each day which made the installation take a day longer than it should have. I feel completely taken by this company and now I don't even know why they bother giving a warranty because clearly they're not standing by it. read more

Our roof was leaking for a few months so we called Catalfano brothers to come out and take a look at it. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, on time for the appointment and took the time to listen to our issue. We called about 5 companies and only a two showed up.The sales person found that the roof was leaking from multiple places and provided pictures so we could understand what was going on. The roof was over 30 years old so we decided to have it replaced instead of repaired. They arrived on the scheduled date, very early and completed the job the same day. They were careful to cover all the bushes and landscaping around the house. They did a great job cleaning everything up before they left. The roof looks great. It doesn't leak anymore and we are very happy. I would highly recommend this contractor. read more

Good example of a company that has gotten too big. Was probably better when the owner was actually involved. Owner is MIA (never spoke to, was never on site, didn't get involved when issues arose) and the people who run the company are mediocre at best. Workers are impatient or impossible to communicate with. Just overall a poor experience and would not use them again. There are a ton of better options in this area for roofer. read more

I call for an estimate on a roof repair. I got a call back the next day with an estimate that they figured out by looking at my roof via Google Maps. I told the rep. I was not comfortable with a guestimate! I would like them to come out and do a full review and discuss products. The rep was very rude, unprofessional and in the end, told me my job was not worth their time. read more

I had a leak in my roof during the recent heavy rains. Charlie came over promptly, assessed the problem, took pictures of the rotted flashing on the roof to show me, (as you will not find my ass anywhere near a roof unless they are serving cocktails and have a glass wall to look through) and within ten minutes gave me an estimate. The day before they were to do the work, Charlie again called to give me notice that his guys would be here at 8AM. And they arrived promptly, did a clean job, did a couple of extra things while they were up on the roof to secure the gutters etc. and cleaned-up so well that you would never know they were here. I would definitely call them in a NY minute when I need any roof or gutter, siding etc. work done. read more

Within 15 minutes Andrew G. from CB was at my front door apologizing for what happened. Told him I appreciated that, and being able to speak with him in person. Catalfano Bros. is local to me and has always had a good reputation as far as I know. What a great company! They did a fantastic job - we got a new shingle roof and gutters, and it could not have been a more pleasant experience. We spoke to both Charlie and Mark and they were so professional and courteous, compared to the other estimators we'd dealt with. I was experiencing a small leak above a bedroom window and had four roofing companies "supposedly" analyze the problem. They all said different things and appeared uncertain as to what the real issue was. Two of the roofing representatives never took out a ladder or even went up on the roof. Andrew Gray, from the fifth roofing company, Catalfano Brothers, came out, went up on the roof and evaluated the problem. He had called to inquire if he could come a little earlier; which was great for me, he was professional, and effectively communicated the source of the leak. Catalfano Brothers remedied my problem!! I haven't had a drip of water come in since. I will definitely be using Catalfano Brothers in the future. I purchased gutter and roof service from them through another web site. They failed to show up on the scheduled date due to rain, yet did not send any notification nor a request to reschedule. I contacted them to reschedule and they gave me another service date. I agreed on the day. No response, no service. I called them to schedule yet another day. They said they'd come by yesterday. They did not come, and yet again, there's a complete lack of communication on their part. This company is unreliable and unprofessional. read more

We had our roof done by Catalfano brothers about 1-2 months ago now. I wish I could say we were happy with the final product. Mark came out to give the estimate. Reviews seemed good and their price was the best. We were scheduled fairly quickly, about 4-5 weeks out. Office called ahead to let me know when they would be coming. They finished almost everything in one day however things were very sloppy and not done properly. Mark was no where to be found. Dealing instead with Mitchell. I called mark very upset and he agreed to come out and inspect. Had the crew come back and fix things but still not to our satisfaction considering we paid $9,000 for a roof. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

Avoid at all costs! The work done was sloppy, incomplete and not done to agreement. Even when they returned to "correct" and having pictures I had taken of the area where they had missed tiles and not replaced the snow guards, they did not complete properly. Removed a faux rock facade on the front of my house and the siding on the back of the house, replaced a few sections of wall sheathing, installed insulation all around, installed new vinyl siding all around, new window vinyl surrounds, and a new roof. Gutter cleaning - they sent a guy with a leaf blower! Even when asked, he didn't lift all of the gutter shields - leaving two feet of sludge above a downspout. ....and never cleaned out the downspout. Complaints never responded to. Would give 0 stars if possible. read more

Solicited quotations from a number of firms and Catalfano's price was very competitive. They advised that it would be approximately 4 weeks from the date that I signed the contract to complete the work. As we got closer to the date, I called and asked if they had me on a definite schedule. I was advised that I was tentatively scheduled for June 7, 2017. I called them on June 5th and they advised that I was moved to June 8th due to rain that had left them slightly behind on other jobs. On June 8th, no one showed up and I called the office and was advised that the material was delivered to the wrong address and I would now have my job done on June 9th. The crew arrived at approximately 6 AM on the 9th and they started stripping down the roof at 7 AM sharp. By 3:30 PM they had the entire roof replaced. The foreman advised that there were a few minor issues that needed to be completed (wrapping the chimney and adjusting a downspout). A different crew came on June 10 and promptly completed those items. Overall, I was very satisfied with this company and would use them again. Can I give ZERO stars? Not showing up and not even calling on a beautiful day where there is no reason not to show up for the appointment is the worst thing a company can do. Yes they have my cell phone number. Yes I had my phone and waited for them all day. And these days when everyone has a phone, why is it so hard to call your customer and tell them you aren't coming? I will give them this though- their office manager is very good at scheduling and is very friendly and professional, but it really doesn't amount to anything if the crew DOESN'T SHOW UP. read more

The only way I can give one star is for the courteous person who schedules. But that's it. I had a gutter replacement scheduled and after the day came and went I never heard a word from them. So bizarre. I didn't want them just showing up so I called to cancel the job- 2 weeks later!. They didn't apologize or even try to explain themselves. Very unprofessional.
