The pediatrician my daughter was seeing is amazing. I loved her, but the office staff is the worst I've ever encountered. No office manager. They are in network with United healthcare Medicaid but when you call as a new patient they tell you they are not contracted. Canceled her appointment and said they placed a sick child in the appointment slot and that I can reschedule. I already rearranged my schedule to have the appointment I made. Then dismissed me from the practice when I asked to speak to someone higher up about the unprofessionalness. Don't even waste your time trying to establish a long term pediatrician. read more

We absolutely love Volusia Pediatrics and are leaving a review for other new/expecting parents that have no idea where to start. In preparation of our first borns arrival (now almost 3 months), my husband and I were searching for pediatricians and came upon a few in the area. The current reviews on here are so misleading, that we didn't want to try, but are SO happy we did! Being new parents, trusting your baby's doctor is so important and I can confidently say that we feel so comfortable with Volusia Pediatrics. They have taken such good care of our daughter for almost 3 months now and are super attentive, have great communication, and the staff is so friendly. I would never, not EVER take my children here or to any of the other offices again. Nor would I recommend them to anyone. I have never in my entire life dealt with such unprofessional, irresponsible, absolutely incapable office staff in my entire life. For the back story see my screen shots as it's LONG, AWFUL experience. I'm just floored by how unorganized and professional a staff could be to make multiple REPEAT errors like this. They do not value patients, business, professionalism, or families. =2 months to get kids seen and one child who has no vaxx record. I have had the opportunity of working with all of the employees at Volusia pediatrics. They have been there for every question and every milestone for both of my children. From breastfeeding to allergic reactions the entire staff has been there for my family. My first encounter with Dr Garcia was with my first baby girl. She encouraged me to breastfeed and helped me get the perfect latch with my daughter. This was extremely challenging for me physically and mentally. Dr Garcia was there for every step of the way and gave me all the confidence to feed my baby. When my daughter was about 10 months old she had an allergic reaction to amoxicillin. Dr Garcia and her staff called everyday to check on her. Those calls meant everything. I could tell they truly cared. When my little boy was 4 months old Taylor stayed late to get us in for a same day sick appointment. Taylor is a mom and can relate to the best of us. She could hear the panic in my voice when I called their triage nurse. She stayed 30 minutes passed open to see my little guy! Cheryl is the best nurse on staff. She has been there for both of my kids. If you call the triage nurse expect her to call right back with a plan for your little ones. I've also had the pleasure of working with Ann. Ann has taken my call after hours and given me the best advice for my kids. I love that I can speak to the nurse or doctor after hours especially on the weekends! I love this staff and if you are looking for the best pediatrician in Volusia County look no further. Every time I leave this office I leave confident that my children are in the best hands. I was very impressed with the follow through after my 2 month old received first set of vaccines that resulted in a high fever. I appreciate Taylor, Briel, and Dr Garcia's open communication until my daughter's temp was back to normal. read more

We love Volusia Pediatrics. The staff is so wonderful. One thing in the Port Orange office that we love is there is a sick side and well side when you walk in. This keeps the sick side in one waiting room and down one hall and the well side in a different waiting room and down a different hall side. So smart. The doctors are wonderful and we would recommend. Our daughter had to be put on special formula and that solved the issues we were having. We apprechiated the doctors recommendation and help to fix the issues we were having. read more

Here is a FB post I wrote. I had many, many comments in support, including friends in the medical field: So glad my kids will no longer be going to Dr. Garcia / Volusia Pediatrics. Today was the last time their incompetence will cost us money and health. Though they got a good last jab. I took the day off (unpaid, have no PTO), charged me $120 to tell us they don't treat ppl for this issue (they knew before we got there, just to be clear). Left my daughter in tears and all of extremely frustrated. But, like so many frustrations, it led to needed change and we're outta there!! read more

We were very nervous when Dr. Chopra retired a few years ago and her practice was purchased by Volusia Pediatrics because we didn't know what to expect. However, the physicians, nurses and office staff at VP have been absolutely wonderful from day one. Dr. Garcia is amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better person to take over our children's care. She is extremely caring and intuitive when it comes to these little guys. They offer evening office visits, convenient flu shot clinics and a doctor is on call and available by phone after hours. I cannot say enough great things about Volusia Pediatrics. read more

We have been taking our daughter there since she was born and she has been a patient of Dr. Worley. I cannot speak highly enough about the doctors and most of the staff. I can however speak very lowly on behalf of their phone system and triage line. I understand it isn't for emergencies, however if you have a question for the triage nurse do not expect a call back for 36-48 hours. I say this not just after one experience but upwards of 4 to 5 different times. read more

We recently switched from a pediatrician we were not satisfied with to this practice and I am so glad we did. We have a 9 year old and a 1 year old who have never been as comfortable during a wellness visit as they are with Ann, their ARNP. Everyone is nice, professional, and make each of us feel very welcomed. Great office. read more

VOLUSIA PEDIATRICS KICKED US OUT BECAUSE OF AN HONEST REVIEW...great customer service huh? Because we are honest, and waited almost two hours to be seen they are kicking us out of Volusia Pediatrics. From being a business owner, that is the lowest and most non customer service thing to do! Our appointment was at 10:20. It's 12:00 and we still have not been seen. We planned our ONLY day off as a family around this and now we are missing aticivites we set up because they "are running behind". Well if you are running behind guess what? Try not over booking your damn times!!! NEVER WILL RECOMMEND OR COME HERE AGAIN!!!! Volusia pedatrics has done nothing but disappoint us time and time again! However we LOVE Dr. Delgado! Sadly I once thought the world of the Dr. An nurse practitioner but the office staff of the new symerna office leave a lot to be desired. I have been and waited far past my appointment time to only find out that they don't take the time to know their clients. That even after signing in they marked me as a no show so I sat for an hour in the front till the time they where closing before the asked whome I was. Bit of a huge over site and repect for clients time an child to act as if I was the problem. Then the blow of after I have been dealing with a lot of a new baby in the house healing from c section and my three year old having a severa epeleptic episode in witch I spent hours in the ER fearing for him. I had to bring my oldest to the office with his brothers intow and my three year old had a blow out of diahreea an once I noticed while carrying my infant car seat an try to respect the nurse needing to take vital on my oldest. I try to quickly get into a room to clean my son and deal with the issue while super embarrassed and stressed. I also appologized repeatedly to the staff and then receive a letter telling me im dropped as a client due to my disregard for their need to keep a clean medical environment. As a vet tech if I have a client have a blow out situation with there pet I don't belittle them I clean it up care for their pet and respect that problems happen. But this company chooses to kick a parent when they are down and disregard that the child had a normal child problem an handle it respectfully and your plain human decentcy. Never was I offered to help hold the doors so I could get my son out quickly or ask if he needed any care as he too was one of there clients. Truly sad that they choose to be ignorat vs shine as a pediatrician office to a mother in a truly embarrassing and emotional situation. read more

I took my son to Dr. Garcia 6 years ago because of word of mouth recommendations. It was by far the BEST decision we have made for both of our children's health. She is there for all of the "firsts" questions. If you're a first time parent you know what I mean. (My son is coughing, google says its cancer...OK this is an extreme example but you get where I'm going). She never makes me feel ignorant for asking questions that should be common sense because hey we're all human. Now that I have two little ones I recommend her to ALL of my friends and family. If you have a child and live in East Volusia, stop researching, you found the team that will take excellent care of your babies. I had my second child 5 years after the first and I really wanted to give BF my best effort. Amy, the lactation consultant, was there for me every step of the way! She assisted with the first few days helping both of us learn how this whole process works. And she's still there for me when I'm saying ok how do we start the weaning process?? The entire team is just amazing and so helpful. I honestly cannot express my gratitude to the team that has helped me keep my babies healthy. read more

Excellent pediatricians! I recommend Dr. Garcia and Dr. Chiapco. They are very knowledgeable and if there is something they've never dealt with they do the research and learn how they can help your child. They helped me discover that my baby had Hemophilia B by referring me to a Hematologist after my son bled continuously after a circumcision (after Florida hospital sent us home and told us he'd be fine). There has never been a day when I couldn't get a same day visit and now they are open in Port Orange which is really convenient. read more

I've been taking my granddaughters here for close to 5 yrs and have found them to be courteous, helpful and good with them. Yes, there is 1 doctor there who can be abrasive at times. She's blunt and speaks directly to the parents/grandparents without involving the child. We only saw her twice in all the years we have been going there. I have found all the other doctors put my granddaughters at ease upon entering, engage them in conversation and have always received great care and follow up. They also always find a way to squeeze them in if they are very sick. No complaints here! read more
