Was able to pick up a unique vinegar here after missing the oppty to go to the place of origin in Jerez. Shop for gifts that are a little different and at a very good price. Me: Let's get a glass One thing we've discovered is that almost every place we've had wine at, we have never been disappointed, even from the cheap happy hour wines. This is something places in the U.S. can learn from. We took our glasses and stood at this barrel. There were several in front and used as small tables. Me: I'll be back. I went to the bakery next door and bought a baguette. 80 cents. I then went back into the Boqueria and bought a wedge of brie cheese and two chicken empanadas. After I came back, we got another couple of glasses of wine and proceeded to enjoy a simple lunch. Lots of tourists roaming around, and a few stared at what we were doing. The only downside is that a couple of homeless people came by begging for money. A firm "NO" usually discourages them, and as long as you don't smile or look them in the eye, they'll go away. If you start saying, 'Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have any change," you're opening the door to a conversation. The partner does this and I just laugh because he just keeps telling them "no" in that polite way, and they won't leave. I miss Barcelona! (I'll be saying this about every town we were in)

There was a small selection of gluten free bread which was nice, however the location wasn't, it in a way seemed evil, as they put it right next to the bakery of fresh bread, which of course a coeliac can't have, having a separate and maybe larger gluten free selection making it easier for coeliacs and those who want gluten free food to shop, without temptation would be a good idea to improve. The store seemed quite expensive and carried quite a high-end approach. The overall layout of the store in a way was strange too, it was set out a little like a market in the way, but without lots of different people, lots of different people and lots of different stalls of course. At a push, and this is being generous, I feel this place deserves a two star rating, as it is a decent size and they do have some knowledge of gluten free through stocking a product range, albeit very small.
