Von Jäger K9
Home of the purpose driven canines
We create and sell strong, confident, social, Multi-Purpose Canines (MPC), Personal Protection Dogs, Tracking and Apprehension Dogs, and Odor Detection as well as Single-Purpose detection canines. We are dedicated to training not only the canine but also the handler, recognizing the team is only as strong as it’s weakest member. We are not in the business of passing off strong dogs to “leash holders”. Your success is our success.
The Kennel has a dual purpose Narcotics Detection K9 currently available for contract services.
Von Jäger K9 has 15 years of experience working with military (Special Operations, 75th Ranger Regiment) and police canines who can offer canine deployment contracts to safeguard any venue, event, or operation.
We also provide civilian training from basic obedience to personal protective services. Let us come to your residence or place of business or you may leave your canine with us for “Board and Train”. It is our passion to let your canine’s potential shine while supplying you with the tools and knowledge to grow together.
Use us for your training.
Rely on us for your program.
Trust us with your canine.
History
Established in 2020.
The Von Jäger K9 training philosophy is based on Experience. Donovan Hunter (Owner/Trainer) has over a decade of experience handling and training working dogs as a Military Special Operations Multipurpose K9 handler (US ARMY Airborne Ranger, 75th RGR RGMT), a Narcotics K9 Interdiction Officer in one of the largest cities in the United States (Austin, Texas, Organized Crime Division/Street Narcotics), and the Head Trainer and Director of the once O-Gah-Pah Pride Kennel. To handle a K9 is the most fulfilling yet educational experience that a "dog person" can have. We understand that Mankind and Dogs have learned to coexist in a social setting - bonding as a "pack" naturally over time, but true obedience goes beyond just having a relationship "that works". Von Jäger obedience is the union between a dogs inherent drives and the behavior desired by its handler. Our goal is to establish the pet owner as a dog handler while not disturbing an appropriate coexistence between the two.
