This time, we stopped by to celebrate my husband's birthday week, and as always, it did not disappoint. The restaurant is a decent size with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Everything is always spotless, from the dining area to the condiment bottles, which somehow always look brand new Now, let's talk about the food. They have a great selection of mimosas, and my husband's favorite is the pineapple coconut mimosa. If you're a chocolate lover, I highly recommend trying the Ghirardelli hot chocolate. My husband ordered the classic Eggs Benedict and said it's one of the best he's ever had--which is saying a lot! I ordered the avocado toast with country-style potatoes, and it was delicious. However, my absolute favorite item is their cinnamon pancake. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be Christmas. It's warm, comforting, and full of flavor. If you're visiting for the first time, I definitely recommend ordering it. The customer service was excellent as always--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. One tip: try to come early in the morning because this place gets busy quickly. We always have a wonderful experience here and can't wait to come back again!

As I got acquainted with neighbors and friends from EDH, they informed me about a local spot, oldie but goodie, the El Dorado Saloon and Grill. The restaurant definitely has that old town feel, nothing to fancy just adequate chairs, tables, and bar area. The locals that patron this restaurant love this place, now I know why. I have dined in for lunch on several occasions, this spot was our quick and easy dine-in experience. The menu offers somewhat to a "bar food" menu, nothing too bad just your typical burgers, salad, wings, tacos, etc. More than enough food choices for sure. As my family and I dined-in, I ordered the Jalapeno hamburger and chicken wings. Both were seasonally delicious and great taste. My kiddos ordered the typical chicken tenders and fries. The food was delicious and served efficiently. So no need to wait long to be served. The service was always on point and my glass was never emptied. Overall, this place is reliable and consistent with their food quality and service. Being a local of EDH, I now understand why so many locals love this place. I too will return and hopefully become a local staple, that is customer. Enjoy and I am ready for the next adventure !

However, not one person came to our table to ask us if we needed menus, etc. We finally flagged down a guy and asked for menus. He said he thought we'd been helped because we had drinks at our table. We then had to flag him down to order food. After that he was attentive. Food was ok. Lemon drop was yummy! Band was great!

Yay! I finally found some good ol' Chinese American food! SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. Have a great day!
