My children had a session with Dr Lowley the day before we left, said goodbye, shared anxiety and excitement, etc. I was concerned about how we were going to transition without insurance and with my son's medication. He suggested to see us his telehealth, asked if i had anyone who could pick up prescriptions and mail them to me, and that he would continue to prescribe them. And he did, until randomly at new years, his office decided with no warning to only prescribe 7/8 medications for my kids. When I asked, I was met not only with rudeness and unprofessionalism, they accused ME of trying to commit a crime or hiding that I moved or that I somehow was trying to get the doctor to act illegally. Immediately I explained there must be a mistake, he was aware bc it was HIS idea that he suggested in front of my teenagers so there are witnesses. I was then told he would NEVER do such a thing and have been made out to be a liar and a criminal. As a result, we had to scramble with my son out of medication trying to find new providers, no insurance coverage yet, and him struggling in life and school until it was finally solved 2 weeks later. The most concerning part is how easily this office will lie to protect themselves. I previously did not believe the accusations put forth about Dr Lowley and his inappropriate interaction with patients, but after immediately being the target once someone realized he was breaking the law, and it being turned on me with blatant lies, I believe everything. They are criminals at this office and will blame anything on you. Please be careful and do not entrust these people with your children or their care. It's truly unbelievable how adults just cannot take responsibility for their own actions. Shame on you all

The concepts taught provide amazing insight into the deeper dynamics at play when those little fights turn into bigger/more painful conflicts. The staff were very well trained and supportive. I appreciated the mix of science behind the concept and simple accessible explanation of the concepts. And practically speaking, I was impressed that the structure allowed for complete "privacy" for all my conversations with my partner, but also allowed for some group sharing to allow for hearing additional insights.

Empowerment isn't even the right term. Emotional connection via mutual bonding would be a more accurate. We were timid about "airing" all of our personal business in a group setting, but the way the course is laid out ensures every relationship maintains their own privacy. I brought x-rays that had been taken a week before with me and presented them. The nurse said some of the images weren't good enough but the doctor needs all new x-rays (4)! I even offered, let's just take re take the one that's bad. No, they said, 4 more x-rays are needed. I don't want my child subjected to needless radiation so we left. I suspect this office just wants to bill insurance for their own x-rays. What other possible reason could there be? I cannot work with a doctor that won't work with me (and the Dr wouldn't even explain this to me herself). There's something very wrong going on here.

I found the private practice at OlympusMD in Tucker, GA. Dr. Hajmarad and Dr. Osa Ogiamien are professional, personable, and most importantly knowledgeable about what they do. They identified my problem from the MRI taken at Emory, a synovial cyst on my spine, and knew exactly how to correct it. In one visit Dr. Ogiamien performed an epidural procedure under anesthesia, ruptured the cyst, released the pinched sciatic nerve and I was IMMEDIATELY out of pain. However, my experience changed after that. I very much had to advocate for myself as a patient under her care. When trying to wean off a medication, she dismissed my concerns. She was also difficult to schedule appointments with. I had to message her if I needed/wanted an appointment since I was unable to book online (for telehealth). She also did not authorize medication refills unless I messaged her, which is fine as long as you know that going in. Lastly, I do not think she looked at my patient portfolio or notes before sessions. At my last session, she did not remember what medications we had tried, which made me sad. I want to feel heard and understood by my provider, and I did not experience that with Dr. Chidimma. However, I am hopefully the exception since she has so many great testimonials.
