I had a consultation back in February with Erica Copenhagen…read more She was very professional and informative. I was under the impression that there was no charge for the consultation. It wasn't until over two months later I was billed $566.67 for the consultation because I did not go with their firm. The only thing they made clear was that if I did not show up or cancel within a certain amount of time that they do charge. But they certainly did not make it clear that if you don't use the firm that they charge you for your consultation. To be clear, I would never agree to a consultation to pay $566.67 to a business that I did not know whether I would choose to do business with them or not. Erica returned my phone call today May 18, 2026. I explained the situation to her and through the course of our short conversation she consistently cut me off and talked over me. I had to ask her to please let me finish my sentence. At that point, I was informed that she was busy and had a client she had to get to but all the same she continued to over talk me on the matter. BE AWARE THEY CHARGE YOU FOR A CONSULTATION WHEN YOU DON'T USE THEIR FIRM!!!!!! And now I see backpedaling and miss information from Erica's response to me. You are not telling the truth. There's no way in hell you ever told me that there was a $566.67 charge three times. I would not have a greed to a consultation especially at that price. I don't know how many ways to phrase it to you, Erica, but it was not made clear to me that if I did not use your services, I would be charged. It's that simple. I don't expect people to work for free! By the same token, I just came in for a consultation to see if what you had to offer, was compatible to what I was looking for in a law firm.

Erika did not provide the necessary and proper guidance. This resulted in going through a lengthy court process which I was trying to avoid by hiring her. When I asked her specifically why I was not informed I needed to take a particular step, she said "I did inform you." Which is a blatant lie!!!! Had Erika informed me I would have taken that step - why wouldn't I? I did everything she asked. She said do this - and I did it. She said pay this - and I paid it. I was hanging onto every word, advice, and counsel - I would have jumped off a cliff had she asked me (facetiously of course). The point is - I trusted her. I was following every instruction. At the final signing I asked if there was anything left to do? She said "no." I have never been through a Trust process before and communicated my naivety numerous times. I relied on Erika's guidance but am woefully disappointed. I have never written an online negative critique before. However, I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes of keeping someone else from poor advice. My Uncle's estate was small and uncomplicated. This should never have happened. The sad truth is, had Erika just owned up to the mistake, while disappointed, I would have understood (mistakes happen), and I would have stayed with her. But to lie about it and put the blame on me is beyond wrong. Not the adult or professional thing to do. Word of advice - Erika Copenhaver presents well, however she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. She doesn't truly care as she espouses. RUN!

And they kept me updated every step of the way via emails and phone calls... so that I could concentrate on dealing with my PAINFUL medical problems. 2. Michael D. Green and Brian G. Lance have two outstanding paralegals, Amanda and Kati, who added absolutely excellent depth and efficiency to the long process of marching toward an outstanding outcome. 3. How did I find Michael D. Green and Brian G. Lance so that I could initially see if they would take my case? Well, about 2 years ago, I researched online for the top 3 medical malpractice and personal injury attorneys in my area, and up came Michael D. Green of the law firm Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery. I went to the abbeylaw.com website, and filled out the online form with as many details about my case as I could, and a few days later, attorney Brian G. Lance called me and we talked for about half an hour. I sent him all my medical records, and about 2 months later he called and told me that his expert witness said that I have a very good case. 4. Also very impressive is the fact that Michael D. Green and Brian G. Lance in the past, have also had the honor of being among the "TOP 40 ATTORNEYS UNDER FORTY" years old. 5. A HUGE, HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO Michael D. Green and Brian G. Lance of the law firm Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery FOR TAKING MY CASE AND FIGHTING FOR AN OUTSTANDING OUTCOME.

I couldn't wait to log into Yelp and leave a review for this law practice. Lost my house and…read moreeverything I own in the Tubbs fire in 2017. It took five years, three subpar (bankrupt) contractors before I hired my fourth and final contractor. My fourth contractor had good intentions, but put some good AND some very poor subcontractors on my job. Then I got in the middle of a minor invoice dispute with my current contractor. It involved unpaid subcontractors and also some "warranty work". These are things that could turn ugly very quickly. I reached out to North Coast Builders Exchange, and also the California State Licensing Board for advice. I was told that my understanding of the proper way to handle this dispute, was correct. I also decided to reach out to a law firm just to be prepared, in case things got ugly. Dan Galvin was the attorney that North Coast Builders Exchange recommended. When I called this law firm Thursday, I was told that Mr. Galvin was already out of the office, and I probably would not hear from him until Monday. The office manager told me that he usually does not work on Fridays. So I was quite surprised when Dan Galvin's caller ID showed up on my phone today, his off day. I explained my situation, and he listened closely. He gave me very sound advice. During the nearly 30 minute conversation I was expecting him to push towards litigation. I expected him to try to rope me into some kind of a commitment to hire him. I kept adding layers and layers of complication and detail to my conversation with him, expecting him to cut me off and tell me that we should probably sign some sort of agreement before I go any further. During the entire conversation, he kept listening and offering good advice, while I quietly waited for his request for a credit card number, or something! I kept looking at my watch wondering, "How much more free advice is this gentleman going to keep giving me?" It was an added bonus, that he seemed to know background on the contractors. So his advice was particularly sound. It got to the point in the conversation where I said to myself, "This attorney is going to let me keep talking until I have nothing left to say." So I thanked him for his advice, and told him that if things could not get resolved one on one with my contractor, I would be retaining his services. Cannot tell you how impressed I was with Mr. Galvin. He listened closely to everything I said, gave me what I thought was very sound advice, did not at all come across like he was looking for a way to "cash in" on my problem. Having said that, I think I have found my Santa Rosa law firm any time I need a Santa Rosa based attorney in the future!

Teresa Camozzi 415 818 3898 Summary: I am seeking representation from an attorney experienced in insurance litigation, specifically to address a dispute with State Farm Insurance concerning the interpretation of "theft" versus "vandalism" under my property insurance policy. My tenant caused extensive damage to my building, rendering it unrecognizable. In January 2024, the tenant fled, and I discovered the premises in a condition consistent with severe vandalism and the remnants of an unauthorized cannabis operation. The City issued multiple code violations, including those related to cannabis activity (since abated), the removal of fire alarms, and the tenant Terry Sassenburg's construction of an unpermitted second-floor addition. The property also suffered from pervasive mold, rotting sheetrock, broken skylights, and the installation of highly flammable Styrofoam on the ceilings and walls, among other significant hazards. Despite maintaining my State Farm insurance policy for over 24 years, my claim for approximately $100,000 in necessary repairs was largely denied. The insurer provided only about $40,000, covering a portion of lost income and limited repairs. As a direct consequence, the accruing City penalties have reached an unmanageable level. The City has denied any appeal of these violations. I contend that had State Farm fulfilled its obligations under the policy, I would not be facing escalating municipal penalties, substantial lost income, or significant deterioration in my health, and I have evidence to that effect. The property, professionally appraised at $900,000, has been listed for sale since May 2024. Due to its deteriorated condition, the asking price has been reduced from $700,000 to $500,000, yet there has been minimal interest from prospective buyers. Please advise if you are interested in discussing representation in this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely TeresaCamozzi 415 818 3898
