I then saw that Vasu had an RF device called ThermoClear which treats just about any superficial skin issue. Jennifer gave me a very thorough treatment, but I had low expectations considering all the YEARS of other ineffective treatments in the past. Well, I look in the mirror this morning (nine days past treatment) and, BY GOD, the treatment is actually working!!! All of the most visible capillaries are either gone or diminishing. I can't wait for my next appointment. I'm thinking a few more treatments will take YEARS off my skin. (Also, ThermoClear is about half the cost of your average laser treatment.) Literally the whole…read moretime, I kept thinking to myself that I was already there and I should take it for the best (I tipped reasonably because I felt bad between it being holiday season and my not being vocal about the experience at the time). The stylist and facialist/manicurist were pleasant and I was told it was a salon in a home but I didn't expect that the facial was in the same space as all the other service areas or that the home included dogs that came out to greet/bark. Luckily my allergy to dogs is relatively minor. This is the first big difference from most other places. My skin was okay when done but I saw (in less than a half hour after leaving) some break out and definitely the extractions were peremptory at best. I still have some areas that needed work. What you also are not getting: calm lighting, eye covers to protect from the bright overhead lighting, warm towels whenever the face is washed off or sufficient amount of humid air to open up pores for best results. Also, the facial is done in the same small front room where there is a hair wash bowl, a nail station, and nearby is a hair station. When someone else is there, there is no possibility of quiet and the music is whatever Alexa plays (that day was medium to high energy music). I also had a manicure and it was okay looking initially but nails were not cleaned underneath, I noticed a small cut in my cuticle line, and a day later 4 of them were chipped/peeling so the "dazzle" polish that allegedly stays on extra well either was defective or badly applied. Overall, not an experience I want to repeat and I don't see myself going again. I will say it was good to have my desire not to talk too much respected.
