I Stopped here to fill up my rental car with gas before heading northwest to Springdale UT. I needed a pick me up so I also went inside to get some snacks and THE LARGEST DIET COKE I COULD BUY. Ha. They did not disappoint. The shop was a good size and had a nice selection of prepackaged, process junk food, perfect to fuel my next few hours on the road. Apparently they also have more house-prepared foods like sandwiches and such but I didn't go for that during this visit. The pumps seemed newer and were quick and easy to use, and you certainly can't beat that view while you're waiting for your tank to fill up! I'd love to go around reviewing the different gas stations that I fill up at, but first of all, who has time for that, and secondly, that's not who I am. With gas stations not readily available in the surrounding areas, the prices are a bit higher than those in cities such as Flagstaff, for instance, but not incredibly surged whereas I would be up in arms in outrage; the prices are actually manageable, especially considering that you'll likely only be filling up here no more than once before heading out to explore other areas in Arizona/Utah. The convenience center/Shell mart has a variety of snacks and small items, but let's be honest, you're not going in there unless you need to use the restroom, need some cigs, or need to pay for gas. The bathroom is relatively clean, but does have an odor that I won't discuss further. All in all, it's a self-service Shell gas station. Our need to find a restroom was prodigious, and Judd's appeared like an oasis in the desert. "Lotto, Guns, Ammo, Beer" isn't just a slogan--it's the real deal here. In addition to countless vehicles getting a new lease on life, I'm fairly certain that minor surgeries have been performed here, relationships have started (and ended) in the parking lot, and multiple generations of family lives have spent countless hours in this place. Judd's is just the sort of place where one imagines a lot of life has been lived. I'm a stickler for spending money at establishments where I use the bathroom, so I kitted myself with some tasty beef jerky and a McCoy Knife Company pocketknife (Mt. Ida, Arkansas), which I'm fairly certain is sharp enough for whatever surgical needs might stray into Judd's.

They have an attendant available to help you with gas and cleaning window should you request one. Self service is also available. They also have a very clean restrooms here.
