TLDR: Michael is an absolute nightmare to work with. I am writing this to save anyone from having…read moreto deal with him. We were moving out of our home and prior to the next inhabitants, we needed to fix two hurricane water intrusions that damaged the upstairs walls, upstairs floors subfloors, and downstairs walls. Michael was super responsive and beat a more thorough competitor's price and timeline. He insisted we will never find "quality better than his", he made us feel comfortable making a decision to go with him. Boy were we wrong. His insisted 5 day timeline but it ended up taking 18 days. While I visited the worksite to drop off some flooring on day 6 he walked me through the work and said the work would be done "today" and demanded I pay him the remaining amount for the project at that moment without seeing it to completion. We negotiated that I all but $1000 of the final amount. At that time my home was completely covered in dust. His workers didn't attempt to isolate the drywall dust spread at all in the home with barriers or attaching a vacuum on their sanders. Though Michaal cleaned up afterwards, it is impossible to remove all the drywall dust in all the nooks and cranny's of the home, not to mention the AC filter. When my wife called him out for the horrible job at containing the dust, he goes "of course there's going to be dust everywhere" and "I'm not a maid". A big part of the project was replacing rotted / moldy subfloor on our second story. On around day 6 Michael mentioned he "peeked under" the flooring to see the subfloor and that there was "only a 1 inch strip of rot" that we could leave there and it would be fine in his professional opinion. If you look at the photos of the subfloor I've attached, it is much more than a one inch strip of rot. This made my wife and I lose trust in his judgement. It took Michael an additional 8 days to complete the flooring (bringing the total days to 14 days). He offered me $1000 back to just leave the rotted floors alone. I suspect he just wanted to end the project early, but who knows. The biggest reason we don't recommend Michael is how he talked down to my wife to the point she put him on mute for something like 8 minutes (no exaggeration) while Michael talked about how he knew what he was doing. He lacks customer empathy and he makes promises he won't deliver. Michael also repeatedly demanded payment instantly after showing us videos of his work. He said it was "disrespectful" that I wanted to see the home in person after the 3rd time I visited and the home wasn't in the "done" state he described or was in his videos (because of things not shown in videos that I could see in person). Of course I'd want to see the home before I finish paying because the first three times there have been things not done or wrong. For example, after the 3rd visit I noticed while Michaels team finished the drywall around my sliding glass door, the blinds weren't reinstalled back in place. My wife him sent him pictures and video of the unfinished pieces we saw and told him that he left our property unlocked. His response was, "You have nerve". He called angrily and I had to talk him down. He mentioned that I never communicated that I wanted him to put the blinds back after he needed to take them down to redo the drywall around him. But I think it was to just place blame as his reasoning was that the blinds weren't a neutral color and that he thought I'd just replace them anyways (they were perfectly fine). He ended up putting them back but it just stinked to have to go through that whole conflict. After all of that stress, the overall work quality was just ~ok. You can see in the attached photos the drywall texture job is clearly patchy. Because of the whole flooring issue, we have less confidence he properly mitigated the possible mold behind our walls. But at least we have our house back after 18 days (not 5 as originally promised) in one piece. But we would prefer Michael's team not work in it anymore.

Similar to the other 1 star review on this company, this man has been a nightmare to work with…read more Due to an ongoing lawsuit against Mike and his company, I cannot share full details of what happened. I can share that this man should not be a contractor, he is not fit for a job like this. UPDATE: Mike you were fired after cursing at me multiple times. You've lied multiple times about various things. You are unfit for a job like this. If you're going to be petty and bad mouth me, at least post the receipts, if they exist. Like how I'm attaching at the texts of your lack of supervision in my home. No one called you at 11pm. And the fact that you're making up things about my family is so disrespectful. Mike, grow up. Put your big boy pants on and take responsibility for your mistakes, or get out of this profession.

I live two doors down from RichT. who posted the raving review. I had Elizeau Souza pave my back…read morepatio, porch and front porch. He never finished. None of it is sealed, some pavers were damaged when he installed them and when I asked him to switch them out, he got mad. Needless to say he entire time he was working my job he was drinking beer, and dumped the pavers he delivered to me in a heap, alot broken. I knew then there was a problem. He has never returned like he said,to seal and he would not returned mine or Rich's calls. I used him as he did a good job for Rich for a great price. My price was high but thought I would get a good job. No sand was ever put between the pavers on the back porch, nor front porch and never sealed. He works under some one else's license. Do not use!!!

Elizeu Souza is the owner of this business. He does pool deck remodeling, pavers, driveway pavers,…read morewalkway pavers and more. He did an excellent job on our pool remodeling and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is out of Orlando but did come up to Crystal River for this job. Don't be afraid to call him and ask if he'll come to your area of the state. He may just show up and do the job for you. We have looked for someone to do this job for over a year and no one does remodeling, they all want new construction. His crew is a hardworking bunch. We watched the whole process and it was fun watching them work. It was like watching a dance recital, whenever something needed to be done someone was already doing it without being told to.
