The staff was courteous and answered all our questions when they walked us through how all things work. This place uses the VR in a neat way than the one I have I home. The play room has sensors that earn you in the game if you are too close to the walls. Then you can also Play a team game that you play against each mother which was the best. Great service, great games, great experience! My first visit definitely was a pleasure! The staff is very friendly and well-versed with the games here. There are multiple VR stations which are welcoming for families, date nights, birthdays, a regular hangout in the city, and anyone who really wants to experience the VR realm. The place looks really modern and kept really clean. I made the booking online which was simple. You choose your time slot and they also offer deals on select time and days. Easy payment and confirmation sent to your email address. The staff guided us from the registration process to tutorial, and had great suggestions and tips for games we were interested in. Once we were comfortable, we were left on our own to enjoy and our staff member would check on us a good amount if we still needed help. Multiplayer function is only available if you purchase additional booths as each station had one set of VR equipment which includes headset, controllers, and headphones. So if you wanted to utilize a multiplayer experience for a larger group, this would be great or if you're looking to spend a bit more to have head-to-head competitions with a friend you could! Just note that there are a only a handful games that have a multiplayer function. At the storefront, there's a racing driving simulation machine that's free and available to use before or after your visit. It's a pretty realistic simulator and fun to enjoy after your session has ended or if you're early and waiting for your booth to be ready if you'd like. If you have a group of people, make sure to book the party room. In the party room, there are only 2 screens, but at least there isn't a wall between players-- meaning that you can actually play together, and it's more fun for the group to watch. We were a group consisting of 3 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 seven-year-old kids, and this was an activity that was good for all ages. Jan was there the whole time, and he was a great help in explaining everything. Not only did he walk us through a tutorial and set us up, but he knew every game inside and out. For us first-timers, Jan was 100% necessary for a great afternoon. 2 hours flew by! The only reason this place didn't get 5 stars was because we'd initially reserved 3 screens, but when we got there, they only had two available. Two screens means that only two people could play at a time. The party room worked out really well for us, but it was just unfortunate that reservations may not always be honoured because of the arcade's popularity. Tip: guys, the Groupon deals are pretty good, so get on it! Weekdays or weekends-- both great deals. read more

One was called Trickster, and you had to defend against orcs and other creatures while fulfilling quests. There was another one where you had to defend an orange structure while fighting off really creepy, murderous robots. My favourite was Skyfront, a game where you fly around trying to shoot the other person before they shoot you. I won, no big deal. (It's totally a big deal.) Check this fun place out. read more

I was brought here for my birthday and could not have been more impressed. Their setup was slick and modern, with spacious, well-designed cubicles to game within, and *amazing*, engaged staff who really took the time to get us situated, geared up, and oriented to the virtual worlds we were entering. My partner and I had an absolute blast and I highly, highly recommend this venue for a VR exper, even if it's your first time! They have 18(!) bays and up to eight person multiplayer, too. This was my first time trying a VR headset and it was very enjoyable. The place was clean, the headsets were sanitized and we each had our own earbuds. We had an employee walk us through how on to use it and gave us helpful tips along the way. The place offers drinks both alcoholic and not. Quite literally: unbelievable. Have you ever wanted to play VR games but can't afford a big gaming rig or an Oculus? This is the perfect place to get your fix. I saw this place while we were walking down the street. Our group actually was headed to the cat cafe next door but this place caught my eye as I hadn't seen a proper arcade in a long time, much less ever a VR arcade. Sitting with the kitties, I went on their webpage, which seemed a little intimidating as their reservations list closed me out of the next hour about 15 minutes early, but I told the group I'd stroll next door to check if we could have an open booth. Upon arriving, the staff was extraordinarily understanding and helpful. They set us up with a booth right away (I believe it was $45 for an hour?) and helped us get oriented with the hardware. An hour flew by, mainly because we had three people who wanted to play. The only knock I have against the place is maybe package deals for 3+ hours. I could've easily spent 3 hours playing VR. If you're a gamer and even just visiting GTA for a few days, this is a must visit. Don't miss it read more

He explained how to sign in and gave us directions on how to play. We played multiplayer (highly recommend) by booking two separate booths. The games were very fun and easy to get the hang of. The games are fun, a wide range from the stream platform. They do have membership once you been there. Booking required, even if you just walk in, the clerk would instruct you to book and pay on the internet. Friendly services, but I did experienced some technical issues so they switched stations for me. Generally it's a good place to enjoying some fun with friends under multiplayer mode. read more

Nicholas was a great tutor! In some virtual reality places they just leave you alone for you to navigate and assume that you know what you're doing. Nicholas spent time to explain everything to us and stayed most of the time to help us play and understand the equipment and the game. Was very good, went on a Saturday morning ( 11:20 am ) place wasn't crowded, the staff were friendly and very helpful. They demo how to use the equipment and then set you up and walk you through the first time or as many times as you need. I tried the zombie game, Brookhaven, as well as a space shooting game and the driving game at the front and thought they were all great. My friends tried basketball and a ping pong type game and were also impressed. The game experience was seamless ( no glitching ) and the headsets fit fully and comfortably over my glasses ( not all headsets will ). We rented two stations ( they put us side by side ) for an hour each, but they actually let us have more than an hour as they do the demo and orientation at the beginning of your session. I would like to see: either a membership ( buy 10 hours for this price, use on any day ), or a discount that would be applied to every hour after the first for sessions of more than one hour etc. I would also like to see coat hooks on the inside of the women's bathroom doors for hanging up coats, purses etc, when using the facilities. If you're looking for a family friendly futuristic activity, this is it. There were a decent selection of games (wish there were more two player games) but I would say the level of difficulty was relatively high for some of the more interesting games (ie. The jurassic park game). Had a lot of fun when I went still. The one issue is if you are relatively easy to get motion sickness, there are some games to avoid including Sprint vector. I wouldn't say I get motion sickness very easily either but after about 10 min of it, I felt like my head was spinning and about to throw up. I spent the next 5 min sitting down and catching my breath because I felt so uncomfortable. The game was recommended by the staff but I wish they had warned me ahead of time that it often causes people to feel vertigo symptoms and to get motion sickness. (They only told me after I mentioned feeling this way) it's not a cheap activity either at $30/hr but a really interesting experience and a good look at the future of entertainment. read more

I've been here about four times now. I've had a lot of fun every time. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even help us out when we're stuck in a game, which is often. It's got to be hard, setting up these complicated games for amateurs like us. But they're patient. One thing that I hope the management fixes is the height of the headsets. For short people, the headset tether cable overhead gets tight, and pulls the headset off all the time, whenever you move your head. That is a significant hassle, and it's got to be easy to fix, right? Nevertheless - I would recommend to anyone I know that they try out VR Playin at least one time! read more
