Went in a couple days ago since it was long overdue and I was looking pretty shabby. Made an appointment for a Senior Haircut and showed up a few minutes early. Unfortunately, my barber was still working on his prior appointment. No problem as the offered me a cold drink from the fridge. The had Mordelo beer or Diet Cokes. I had a Diet Coke. We got started about 15 minutes late. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He asked how I wanted it cut and explained that I like it tight on the sides, etc. he asked me a couple more questions to clarify and he went to work[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We made a little small talk while each barber's workspace had their tv's playing. But for example, he's been cutting hair for about 8 years and had two kiddos. Not from Tucson but says it's growing on him[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. My favorite part comes at the end. You get a wet razor around the ears, a hot towel and a short shoulder massage that helps you relax! I came to V's Barbershop on a bit of a whim as my married friends were in town and the husband wanted to get his hair trimmed and beard shaved. V's does both and the location was perfectly central so we made him an appointment and went in together. My friend and I were very impressed with the service he received! He got a nice, clean shave and trim. They do the hot towel on the face and all. The barber was friendly and made sure my friend walked out with the look he wanted. Honestly, his experience turned into a bit of a self-care moment as my friend had been dealing with a lot of stress lately in his life. I feel it is so rare for men to have opportunities to receive self-care like this so it really stuck out to me. This is more than just a barbershop - it's like a little community. The interior is really classy - I love the old-school look and green accents. Everything was clean as well. Honestly just a good vibe all around. They also serve free drinks which we all loved - even local beer from MotoSonora! Given that we have family back home who are hair stylists, I am little extra critical when it comes to hair care. Outstanding shop. I do not get haircuts often, as there is something missing in most barbershops; the aura. The shop feels very welcoming, with sports aired on numerous screens. I can sip a beer here with the boys, except in this case there is an addition of an awesome haircut. I made an appt for 12 with any open barber. By 12:20 I still had not been seated. Despite there being 5 employees in the place only 2 were cutting hair. Don't take appointments is you are going to make people wait longer than a hair cut will take. Others came in after me and were seated. I asked and was told that is how their system works. The V stands for "Very-shitty-haircuts". First time coming here and asked for a high skin fade and the lady shaved off my entire side where my forehead ends and my hairline starts, looks like I just have a forehead that wraps around into my entire head. Then she trimmed the top like I asked, but took thinning sheers over it again and stayed on the same spots of hair until it was cut another length shorter entirely instead of thinned. I have a hairline on one side of my head and none on the other and dips in my hair on top from her thinning shears. If you're a man that values a good haircut, this is not the spot for you. Horrible experience.My son and I get cuts there before awesome place. Had an appointment . Greeter was nice. The barbers though is another story. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had an appointment for 1415,we waited approximately 25 minutes, which normally I get it when the shop is busy and there were a couple customers around us but when new ones come in, there is no acknowledgment from any Barber and new walk ins get ahead of us then that's just bad customer service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]there was no eye contact. It was like we were furniture there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Extremely disappointing especially having high expectations of this place from past barber experiences that have been great. When you walk in, you are greeted and asked to check in and confirm your appointment time. You are offered a free drink from their fridge that is stocked with water, soda, & beer. Whoa! They had me at 'free'. This is not your typical super cuts or great clips kinda place. This is a Whole Different Experience. It's a mans man kinda place. Check them out and you'll know what I mean. This is a great place. I love the free drink. It was an awesome way to end my day while waiting for my son to get his haircut. The barber Patrick spent a very long time working on my son's hair, which was appreciated and his haircut turned out really great.
