I found this place on Yelp. They have been in business since 2008. It is a little hidden off of Ina and Shannon behind the Circle K. This shop is clean, and the barbers are all professional. I had an appointment with Dylan that I made online. I arrived 10 minutes early and only waited a few minutes for Dylan to clean up from his previous client. Dylan is very engaging and listens and gave me a great haircut including using a razor on my neck line. I highly recommend this barber shop and any of the barbers. I will be back! Now with well over a year of frequenting London Town on an average of every ten days, I'm confident in reporting that London Town continues to give excellent haircuts (contemporary and traditional) and barbershop experience from a highly professional staff in a thoroughly relaxed, amiable setting. The setting is typically strip mall suburban. The clientele appear like they've been running errands on a Saturday morning. The banter between barbers and customers is fun, friendly, and accommodates kids, too. Haircuts are never rushed, unless you've asked for that. In one word- Comfortable! The haircuts nearly always exceed expectations, with solid style hacks and attention to detail which is salon quality, and "Hey, your hair looks great, where do you go?" looks. I go to Gabe, because he's the first barber I've known to whom I can say 'Barber's Choice' and be pretty much guaranteed I'll walk out feeling handsome, and that requires a magician!! While waiting I have observed the work of all the Barber's, and I believe every single one of them does laudable cutting, all day long! The six TV's are all sports, on mute so Spotify can do it's thing. Prices are a bit less than suburban average, yet the quality of service leaves room for a considerable tip. Once your barber offers you a mirror and you note how exceptional your cut is, you can't help but feel generous! I'm a fan, no doubt about it. Cut my enthusiasm in half and you still have the best barbershop I've ever known. It's because the experience there is so comfortable, AND you leave feeling confident and good looking! This place is a quite a drive from our house, but it's worth it for our 2 1/2 year old to get a haircut with Nick. Nick is wonderful with kids (especially the squirmy toddler variety), and he's a pro at distraction. When we arrived today for the haircut, Nick had the TV at his station on a kids show, all ready for the tech-savvy toddler. I showed Nick some toddler haircut pictures that I liked, and he got started. He had my husband sit with our toddler on his lap, so that the little guy would feel more at ease. Whenever our little man got antsy or scared, Nick would help to distract and calm him. Nick also pointed out a wicked cowlick in our little dude's hair to us and explained how to cut/comb his hair to keep the cowlick relatively tamed. In the end, our little man had a handsome, short haircut with some layering and got to pick out a lollipop for his troubles. I'd highly recommend Nick for toddler haircuts. He only works Friday and Saturday and is usually booked, so making an appointment is the way to go. Currently, it's $23 plus tip for an appointment haircut. (It is sooo worth it; after spending 2 hours chasing my screaming kiddo around trying to give him a home haircut myself and ending up with hair everywhere and a terrible haircut, a toddler-friendly barber is a blessing!) Well, went back today because I noticed that it was sticking out in one very small patch in the back and my wife told me that the back was too long in that my hair was curling up slightly and tended to stick out slightly as it likes to do when it is too long. No problem. All barbers do not mind touching things up, especially on the first cut. However, I was asked to pay something for this touch up. He said that next time if there is a problem, to call him in 3 or 4 days. Well, I got the haircut on Saturday, they are closed on Sunday and Monday, and I left on a 4-day hiking/camping trip early Tuesday morning. Today was a week. I guess that may be standard practice and I payed $4 for the "touch up." Still, I've never had to pay for a touch up ever in my 5 decades on this planet. Kind of leaves a sour taste in the mouth, especially since it was to fix the original job. I'll have to think about going back...maybe I'll find another razor cutter in town. Maybe one a lot closer to me, too, that's not a 25 minute drive. For the regular customer, though, I would still recommend trying this place out. read more

So I walked into this place at 2:45 after having checked them out on Yelp and seeing all the awesome reviews; I was really excited. The door was wide open to the sidewalk and got told "Sorry we're closed" by someone who looked at me like I was crazy and his tone told me he just didn't GAF. How dare I inconvenience the end of their day by showing up DURING their hours of operation and having done the research to find out all the information I could about their business. So I'm in town for business and I realize I'm looking rugged. Only problem is I have had the same barber cutting my hair for 10 years and don't like anyone else to do it. So I hop on Yelp and this place seems like then best. They most definitely were. I walked in and there must have been 20-30 people in there. I put my name on the list and sat down. They had me done in an hour. Caitlyn (not sure on spelling) was amazing. She even hipped me to a new barber in Seattle. I told the person on the phone I would be able to make it, and he asked for the details. After I gave them he said, "I'll let him know" *click* ME (to myself): "Oh, OK, I guess I don't need to reschedule." I didn't explicitly say I needed to reschedule, but I would have tried if it was available. Yes I take pride in my awesome do. I normally only trust a "stylist". Yes this places is no frills, but they jam. They do what they do and they do it well. I had my hair hacked up by my wife due to a "bug" emergency. I didn't want to pay my normal 40buck stylist bill for my already short hair. So after hearing about the place I tried London Town. Gabe did a great job. The place was not crowded, everyone was super friendly. Got a great 15dollar cut, 20 bucks with tip. Half off my usual and I really like my super short hair. Gabe and Nick (the owners), Andy (up front), and got my cut done by Frankie . . . it's like they're part of a Barber Gang, or something. They're all close-knit, and it shows, when you walk in. They're all great guys, take pride in their work; they're also deeply involved in the community . . . so, rapport with their clients is . . . well, you get the idea. This place is great. The price is affordable and they really know how to do a men's cut. I actually found this place through Yelp. Thank you Yelp! Before I was going to a salon which I was paying a little too much for a men's cut. Especially since my hair grows pretty quick! I would be spending $40 each session and went at least once or twice a month depending if I wanted to change up styles. As for here I would only pay $20 (that's with a generous tip included) normally is $16. That's a fraction of what I'd pay at the salon! The gentlemen here are friendly, sociable and all specialize in their own particular skills and styles. If you are looking for a particular kind of cut they know which person to recommend to you. Surprisingly a co worker of mine knew the owner of this place, Gabe. Who is a really friendly and upbeat guy. He makes his own pomade gel here which I have yet to try and quite popular to get a cut from. He usually has a waiting line from open to close which is why I have yet to get cut by him. However if you are in a hurry and can't wait, the other barbers will happily assist you. I've had several styles like comb-over, under cut, and faux hawk done here and liked them all. Here to visit a friend and then off to another trip so needed to squeeze in a haircut. Looked up local shops and London Town had the best reviews on Yelp and was close to my friends house. Decided to go and since they take walk-ins, right up my alley. Amazingly enough, on a Tuesday morning at about 10:00am, they were busy. That is a good sign though. I entered and just sat down, they have an informal process of first come first serve. I think if it is much busier, they have a sign in sheet though that was not the case this morning. Part of the rating I am giving is the old-school barbershop vibe. Like the banter between barbers and customers and barbers with each other. Oh, the shop is nothing fancy by any means but is set up to do what it is meant to do which is cut hair. What prompted me to give this 5-start rating is that as I watched and then was getting my haircut, you can tell these guys take their craft very seriously. The listen to what you want, they take the time to do it right, and the deliver a fantastic end-result. I would be comfortable in saying that this might be my best haircut ever. Oh, and I got a beard trim as well and it turned out great as well. If you are in Tucson and looking to get yourself cleaned up and looking presentable and professional, check these dudes out. Walk-in will warrant a long wait and appointments are encouraged. That is a good thing. They take their time and all of them are very skilled. Great place for any cut from a professional cut to something crazy with UofA logo. Be prepared to wait if you come during a busy day (Friday and Saturday). Stopped in while in town, needed a good cut. Luke walked right up to me as I sat down & asked if I was waiting on someone. I wasn't, so he took me immediately. Busy Saturday morning with a lot of people in and out. Gave me a fvcking great medium skin fade. Took his time and a hot shave on the neck at the end. This is a man's barbershop, and it was a great experience. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in Tucson again. I moved to Tucson 10 months ago on work rotation, and started coming to London Town ever since. Here's 3 reasons why I'm no longer going to come here. First: First time I ever came here I called them real quick and asked if they allowed walk-in appointments. The man who picked up the phone said "yes" and I asked if they were busy. He said, "No, we're not busy right now." So I drove there and as soon as I opened the door there were at least 15 people sitting down waiting for a cut. The place was PACKED. I always give people the benefit of the doubt so I thought, "Maybe it just got packed in the time it took me to drive over." When I got to my car I called again and asked if they were busy. "No, we're not busy at all." Obviously this is some ploy they use so that people aren't turned away. That was a bad first impression, and showed me that this place wasn't willing to be honest with their customers. Sometimes people have busy lives and it's just not polite to do that especially to customers that live far away. Respect your customers' time. Even though this happened, I figured I would give them a shot... Had no further problems because I started making appointments with one specific barber there. Then he left... Second: I went here recently to get the same haircut I always get. Minute I sat down I felt a weird vibe. First of all, a customer entered the shop and immediately walked up to one of the newer barbers and said, "I want my money back," and pointed to his hair. It had this clear bald spot on it. At first I thought this was Alopecia, but I've had Alopecia on and off for some time now, and this was clearly not it. The barber gave the customer his money back and then said he'd fix up the hair for free. Didn't say sorry or anything. I watched him take like 30 extra minutes to fix up a dude's hair that was pretty much already done. He stopped at least 10 times to start texting on his phone. Again. Respect your customers' time. It was finally my turn, and I asked for my usual #2 on the sides and just trim the top about 1 inch. As he was cutting my hair, he started talking to the other barber saying, "Man I just don't want to cut hair anymore. I don't want to do this anymore man." Then when he got to the top of my hair, I noticed he was cutting off a lot more hair than usual, but then you can never really tell because they always take these long breaks and start checking their phones. When the cut was done he showed me my hair and he had cut at least 1.5 - 2 inches off of my hair. It's almost like a buzz cut right now. I paid him for his time, but this is by far the worst haircut I've ever had in my entire life. This was the tipping point for me, and I won't be coming back anymore due to this. Third: These guys are on their phones sometimes while they cut hair. They also turn the chairs facing AWAY from the mirrors and towards the customers waiting. 1). Who does that lol? 2). Why even have mirrors? It takes about 30-45 minutes to get your hair cut here, and sometimes even longer if they're on their phones. I really did try to like this place. These guys are really talented at cutting hair, and I would say they're the best in Tucson. But damn please get your act together. Respect your customers, get off your phones, and check your ego at the door. Don't bring that crap in with your customers. Skilled barbers. Terrible business. Hire professionals. read more

I've been going to get my hair cut by Daniel Pompa at London Town for close to 3 years and have been satisfied from the start. After my first hair cut with him, my wife said "FINALLY! Anyway, I've never had a problem with the shop's vibe and I love how the barbers always joke with one another and us customers. I have since begun taking my 2 year old son to Daniel and he does a great job on my son's hair and is very patient which can sometimes be difficult with a toddler.
