After strolling around lovely Cartes and having one of the best lunches in Spain (Restaurante Corocotta) we felt like a walk with our Bulldog.
This trail here goes on for many miles and miles. You can either walk along the River Besaya to the north or to the south. We did a little bit of both. In the north of Cartes the way is a bit elevated while at the southern end it's pretty much along the river on the same level. Both bits have their own charm.
We enjoyed the green forests, the empty walking trail and the lovely quiet nature here. Only a handful of people were around on this perfectly sunny day. Quite surprising.
