I feel that some of the news anchors arent sincere and come off as fake...they come off as joking but they're laughing with each other and it's hard to take them seriously. Of the three major local stations, only Channel 10 is reporting on what's going on. All I want from my local news is local news coverage, especially when a state of emergency has been declared and there are major weather aftereffects happening around the region. It's sad that only one local, non-cable media outlet really provides that, but at least there's one.

Is that still TV? You know, if it's not watched live on a television set? But I have kids. And one of my secrets for surviving parenthood was the kids programming on wmht. This is the local station that airs PBS Kids, and a great lineup of shows for young minds. Of course, some shows are better than no shows. But when you have a kid that you just need to sit still and zone out in front of the tube, any show is a good show. What I love about wmht is that the station doesn't run commercials. Sure, there are the sponsorship announcement, which these days are hard to tell apart from branded advertisements. But the difference is huge. Cartoons on other commercial television station have so many ads, it can be hard to tell where the show stops and the ad begins. Having worked in Advertising, and knowing a little something about the creation of demand, I'd prefer to keep my kids away from the barrage of commercials. So, wmht gets five stars from me. And probably also from anyone who has been a parent to young children in the Capital Region.

When I used to live in Fort Lee NJ I grew up with WILW21, and Thirteen and when I moved to Albany in 2005 I grew up with WMHT as well. Great PBS Station and it's one of the biggest I have ever seen. In fact it's probably one of the biggest in New York State. I think it's even in North Western Massachusetts and some parts of Vermont. I think it is also ranging in Poughkeepsie as well but I don't know. Awesome!!

He called me a few days later and we set up a time and date. He arrived here this morning when he said he would. The job they did was outstanding. It looks like the siding was brand new. It hasn't looked this good in years. All that needed done on the house was the sides and Stan said if I didn't want the whole house done he would lower the price. I said that was fine as it didn't need it. Stan is a hard working and a very honest individual. We were so happy with everything. If you need pressure washing done call him. I did and I'm glad I did.
