Gave him a call and he was VERY easy to talk to. He said he would come right when the rain let up and he actually ended up coming the next day cause it rained too much that day. He reached out to me the next day and came in a very timely manner. He was professional, kind, explained everything very well and I honestly have zero baseline knowledge of this stuff. He had very reasonable prices from what I could tell and even fixed the roof leak right away. If it didn't work he offered to come back and had another plan in place, but he was right the first time and fixed it perfectly! It's raining quite heavily now actually and we have zero leak from our roof. If I ever need anything done I'll definitely reach out and I highly recommend!

The installers were very professional with my wife as I was not home. They called me to let me know they had some recommendations on how they could run the gutters better than what was originally installed. Also, the dumpster that was needed to be dropped measured 8X 20 ----a good peice of info to have. The quote I received to do the work was fair--this is a smaller, and, in my experience, honest local company that is not out to gouge you. Once they were able to show up and do the work, they were fast, professional, courteous and efficient. A crew of 3 guys tore my rotten clay tile roof off, and replaced it with asphalt shingle in just 1 day----- on a 25 x 25 ft Greendale original home with a pyramid hip roof, plus a small adjacent, 10 X 8 ft utility room roof, plus a cleaned up the yard fairly decently as well, before leaving that day. (The dumpster remained till the following day though--but it was also removed quickly at jobs end) The company has been professional during every step of the process. The crew cleaned up fairly well, but there were a few things --some tile chips and debris here and there, 2 or 3 roofing nails left in the driveway, some tile and debris on the front porch overhang, and some scrapes on the siding where tile had scraped when it was pushed off the roof--(which were easily removed with mineral spirits) , and a piece of scaffold equipment still up on the roof near the chimney which was possibly left for inspection purposes. I can't complain though --considering the monumental mess with piles of debris this job created. Owner Keith sent a follow-up guy to clean up these things to my satisfaction and the guy made sure I was happy with everything was A-OK before he left. The cleaner that was used to remove the scrape marks worked like a charm--with no marks visible after. The house looks exactly as it did before the job began except now it has a new roof! This company prides itself on doing a good job and getting Angie's List rewards, it means a lot to them. I thought the price for the job was fair. Also, they provide a 10-year warranty on their work, and the shingles themselves have a 50-year warranty on them, in case there are unforeseen issues ahead. They deserve the solid reviews they get. I would hire them again. And may do so for an attic insulation job, which they also specialize in.

I showed Adam the estimate that I received from the roofing company I was going to use. I pulled up files with the names of the other companies that's sent representatives to give me estimates. I made it clear what my budget was and it wouldn't include shingles, gutters, and replacement of any facia boards that needed to be replace replace replaced. I also emphasize. What I thought was rude and unprofessional was his attitude about other companies. He also mentioned that he contracts the work out. He delivers the materials, but usually is not on site for the job. He explained to me that his jobs are, 'Fillers' for a group he has worked with for ten plus years. If he has worked with this group of guys for ten years, why has his company only been incorporated since 1-2-2024. What was the name of previous company and why are reviews from 2024-25 only? If he speaks so highly of them, why contract? They have other jobs. I made it clear I want to work with a company that employs their crew. He did not respect my opinions. What happened to respecting the customer and allowing the customer to have an opinion?

In October 2024 I contracted with 1st Choice Roofing to replaced the failing roof on a 2 story…read moreduplex I own in West Racine. While they were not the least expensive, I selected them after reviewing the job with Christo, the owner. He was very knowledgeable and was straight forward regarding the extent of possible issues that may be uncover when the shingles are removed from such an older building (1929). Christo has an extensive portfolio of quality materials to choose from and his suggestions really helped steer me towards the best possible outcome. The work began very shortly after the paperwork was completed and even after finding that the original roof had 3 layers of failed shingles in some areas, had extensive wood rot at the decking, fascia and soffit areas, needed replacement roof ventilation and also required additional work to remove an old school TV antenna... the roof was completed beautifully and ahead of schedule! Communication was on-going and professional throughout the entire job. The clean up was meticulous and complete. Gutters and downspouts were installed a few days later and the house really looks great! I can 100% recommend 1st Choice Roofing... and have already passed their contact information on to both family and friends.

A storm came through and caused some wind damage to our roof. It caused a leak that went through…read moreour ceiling in our bathroom. We discovered this on a Sunday afternoon. Josh came out right away to secure a tarp on our roof to prevent further damage. Once our insurance adjuster came out and determined that they would provide us very minimal coverage for the damage, Josh took it to the next level for us. It was a tedious and drawn out process but in the end we were awarded the funds to cover our new roof and our expenses for the damage to our bathroom. Josh was very on the ball and attentive to getting things taken care of for us. He came out and met with us to determine which product we wanted to use for our new roof as well as a tentative start date for the job (obviously weather permitting). When he noticed that an upcoming weekend had some promising weather, he reached out to us to confirm if this would work with our schedule. He arranged for the materials and dumpster to be delivered. On the day of install, his crew showed up and were all very professional. Came at 8am on Saturday morning and were done by noon on Sunday. Excellent site clean up from all of them. The only evidence that they had been there was our new roof and the dumpster full of materials in our driveway. Josh immediately had the dumpster removed from our property as well. Very attentive and accessible during the entire process from start to finish. 5 star rating for this company and Josh from our first encounter until the job was complete.

We discussed a very large front yard undertaking with him. We wanted a "low grass" front yard concept and I explained to him some general flowers and plants I wanted involved. He put an outdoor landscaping "floor plan" together if you will. We talked things through and after some slight adjustments, we moved forward! He was great to organize and plan with. The issue is the timing of all of the plants and when they would be arriving due to the "zone" we are in. On the day of the project he and his team member arrived bright and early, discussed the plan and drawing once again to make sure we were all on the same page and got to work. Ben handled much of the getting rid of the grass and having level and even dirt. We had him bury a pipe regarding our excess water pump so that it was clean and underground and to the sidewalk. Then all of the plants were put into place and everything was covered with mulch. We even had him take out some large bushes that were in the back yard as part of the project while he was here. He was great to work with, had awesome follow up and always explained why something was happening. In his profession there obviously are some weather dependencies, so he was always good about keeping us informed if something had to slightly shift in the schedule.

We've also started to incrementally re-do windows in the home, and the detail work and end result are really great. They create confidence with great communication and the crews that show up to your house are probably the single greatest, buttoned-up contractor/installers I've ever been around. That has been the key. HomeSealed makes it so much easier. I've had bad experiences with other contractors on different projects, and have been frustrated and treated pretty unprofessionally. HomeSealed is the complete opposite of those operations. A real business, run by real people you can deal with.

Dan became irate and combative. The work that was attempted now needs to be dismantled and rebuilt. The worker that was sent over admitted he had never done this before. He was not trained or supervised and was left to just wing it. I am left with an eye sore of an unfinished project even though we gave him half the money down at the start. I would never hire him again for anything.
