Boating on the docks near the beach. Trails that lead to other campgrounds but if your looking to camp you may need to book. The husband also has a habit of yelling at people, including telling a father to shut up in front of his children. The mood swings of both of them lead people to believe that they are mentally ill, as their behaviour is erratic and unpredictable. One minute they are nice to your face and the next they are yelling at you for quietly sitting around your fire. He even came up to me to ask a question about another camper and when I started to answer it he snapped at me. I was not in any way being rude to him, and my friends were just as stunned as I was. There are also major issues with the power. It would take us 1/2 hour to make a pot of coffee and heaven forbid you try to make toast while you're waiting. Trips to the breaker panel were frequent until we figured out that we could only run one appliance at a time. They have been asked multiple times to fix it, even having an electrician volunteer his time but for some reason they chose not to. Also, we were there 5 years and our fees increased 25% in that time. We had no sewer, terrible water and power, yet our fees continued to rise. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone under its current ownership. These people need to seriously consider another line of work. There are much nicer campgrounds with better services nearby.

This campground does not offer 50amp breakers that you have in your house........YOUR CAMPING, YOUR NOT AT HOME. On the comment made by Tanya V about the owners intentionally causing damage to campers rv's is totally ridiculous, if that was the case there wouldn't be anyone camping there........ yet there is a waiting list to get a spot in this wonderful campground. Killdeer Beach Resort campground is a family campground, it is not a party campground and through the years unfortunately there are people that do not understand what that means and disrespect the rules of the campground, which are given to each camper upon arrival. When people don't understand these rules or respect them the owners follow through in respect to all other campers and have the need to shut down loud campers at night. This to the disrespectful campers would be looked at as the owners getting into their face. Due to the comment made that the owners are mentally ill and sometimes nice and sometimes mean only proves that Tanya V and her group were not family oriented people and did not wish to follow the rules and that would explain why the owners would have the need to become firm with them........ that only means that the owners CARE about ALL of their customers. With our comments above we are not asking for people to take aside but do remember that the fact is there is a waiting list to get a site at this resort and you can make up your own conclusion based on that fact. I appreciate the light shade of green paint. It's very subtle you don't even notice that it's green until you really look. As you walk further into the room, there's a nice size closet at the back and an updated bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and size of the bathtub. Even in the most posh hotels, the bath tub usually is something to be desired. I was so excited and just extremely exhausted from the long road trip that I used to lovely honey conditioning shampoo as a bubble bath. The water was the perfect temperature. The tile around the bath was very interesting to look at. It felt like a spa. The towel floor mat was folded to hold the shampoo and soap. It made it very inviting. I really enjoyed the style of the toilet and the sink. Made it feel very updated. It's not perfect, somebody got nail polish on the sink, but it added to the artistic character of the bathroom. Don't take it off. It looks fun. The beds are spring, but comfortable. There's a refrigerator and a microwave, so leftovers and other perishable items can be stored in the refrigerator. They took the time to call me the day before to confirm my rental and answer any questions I may have. When I showed up to pick up my rental I was greeted with smiles and got to meet my customer service agent Teron John. He took the time to go over my booking and all the paperwork. When he was showing the exterior and interior of my rental he also explained to me how damage works. When we finished that he went through all the options on the car. When I brought the vehicle back Teron asked how my trip was and asked how the car worked for me. When Teron was finishing my return paperwork he offered me a ride home instead of calling for a taxi. That my friends shows a good organized company and perfect customer service.

Got an email on a Sunday and call on same day telling me not to bother showing up as they had no rentals due to my LAST MINUTE rental, priority was given to those who booked a day or two prior. Now don't get me wrong, they booked a day or two ahead HOWEVER my vesicle did not take that into consideration when it broke down and I actually thought membership did have it's privileges but color me mistaken. I've now had 2 rentals where I've shown up and they did not have the vehicle I chose 1 week prior, tried to give me a compact car when I drive up north and that would not cut it. They are tailoring their program to work with insurance companies who cover a month rental vs. a few days that I rent oh 9-11x per year. Then the tone of the person calling was...well less than cool and they actually said due to my booking last minute WTF tell that to my truck, damn shame. This location and Enterprise as a whole is tanking quickly. I'll give Hertz in West Edmonton my business, out of the way yes, but they go out of their way to accommodate. Anyone looking to try a better alternative, give Hertz a call.

I heard a train whistle once, but it didn't bother me during the night. I hope I'll have a chance in the future to stay here again.
