I called from out of state to the waffle house in Rayville LA to get in touch with an employee for a medical situation and the recording gave instructions on how to put in a to go order. She repeated it 3 times. There was never an opportunity to talk to a human being. What the hell! Is there another telephone that Google doesn't know about? read more

I love getting a Waffle House breakfast when I'm on the road. The food is going to be relatively consistent and it's usually hit-or-miss for the crew. This morning's crew in Rayville was ready to go on this Monday morning. I took my outside picture at 7:27 and my breakfast was set in front of me at 7:36. That's pretty dang lightning quick. No dithering! The omelet was cooked properly and had the right proportions of additions (peppers, onions, ham, cheese, tomatoes and such), the toast was done properly and my slice of city ham was nicely grilled. The only ding was that no one asked me if I wanted any more coffee as the restaurant got a little busier. I could have spoken up but it was too late. I got a coffee to go from elsewhere. #56/2022 Oh man how is this just for weird? Is it coincidence or something else. I pulled up the last time I reviewed here it was August 26th of 2019. Today is August 26th 2022 this has me kind of wondering LOL. But few things that have changed at this one through beginning cove and through covid they got to remodel on this one it's a little bit bigger but still very clean at this one too. Like any waffle House it's a standard menu prices have gone up a little bit like everywhere it is what it is but the quality of this one is still excellent. I came in got cawfee that one of my favorite breakfast the waffle with sugar free syrup sausage patties and a double order of hash brown scattered with nothing on them. Everything was excellent. It's a little crowded kind of noisy but they were rocking and rolling orders out left and right extremely efficient no problem there. The hash browns were excellent the waffle was good and the sausage patties were very tasty and the coffee was waffle House Joe. All in all the reason I like to stop at the little jumpy fuel stop next door Park and sleep wonders room because the House is right next door steps away. read more

By far the best Waffle House I've been to. The staff got along great and greeted every customer that entered. The food was phenomenal. Scotty was on the grill. It was delicious and very fulfilling. I love sweet tea and it was delicious as well read more

Disgusted...Zero Star Rating My husband ordered 2 meals, found this long straight brown hair under my over easy eggs in...beyond gross. Called a mgr, she said her name was Chelsea, told her that he is a commercial driver buying WH food for 30 years, they lost our business today! Used to like this location. It was convenient on my trips. Last three times over two years were good. Yesterday my daughter had a fried hair between the burger. Gross. Waitress Amber was pleasant and apologized, but it sounded like the cook was arguing it was not his. There was only one other customer in the restaurant. My last visit they also gave me a veteran's discount since the original founders were vets. Not this time. Wore my Army Hat. I still had to pay for meal. Would have. Been nice to comp her meal. Located hard by I-20 at the Rayville exit this was one really nice Waffle House...in my travels across the state of LA this has got to be at least the 7th or more Waffle House I've eaten at or reviewed... My family laughs at me and says I have a WH addiction, except for my Dad, but I say if you need a filling meal for a decent price from Breakfast to a Burger you CANNOT beat the House!!! This was my first stop in this one and I liked it...the place was clean and the seemed to have a darker interior than others I've been in....the food as always was excellent (3 eggs scrambled, hashbrowns scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, capped and country'ed)...my niece got a bowl of Bert's Best Chili and really enjoyed it....she also got 2 fried eggs over easy and they were cooked just right....pretty much the cooks at Waffle House know their jobs and are good at what they do... I usually enjoy Waffle House's food and prices. However, they are charging me for a "to-go" order, even though I'd rather sit in and eat. It's not my fault they are only doing to-go orders. Why charge a fee for to-go orders if the customer has no choice in the matter? I'm very disappointed. read more

I love me some Waffle House and their consistency is both their blessing and their curse. The blessing side is you know what you are getting, and that is a hot fresh breakfast made to order served by a friendly and efficient server. The curse though is that all Waffle Houses are always dirty. The floors ALWAYS need sweeping, and in all of their efficiency, no one there ever has time to sweep them. read more

Our party of four gathered here on a Saturday morning. Service was not an issue, despite the packed establishment. The food was good, and we were able to get out of there without it taking forever. I had the cheese eggs and some hashbrowns (covered and capped). And most importantly, the place was clean! We enjoyed out meal and I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in LA. read more

Unfortunately there are no minus star options, because this place deserves them all. I arrived with my family to eat breakfast on our way to a Florida spring break vacation. We drove from Texas and were starving and Waffle House is always good food. Possibly the food here is good too, but we never had a chance to try any. After waiting for at least half an hour, we finally left with absolutely no service. As the restaurant was not terribly busy, I can only assume it was because we are Mexican that we were ignored until we finally left. I would highly suggest that Waffle House reconsider this franchise. read more
