Let's talk about definitions and the fact that they have significance…read more Using half and half and calling it "heavy cream". Hot coffee that has had ice added to it therefore reducing it to disgusting water with a tinge of the bitterness of something that once might have been coffee left in the bottom of a dirty cup...is NOT " COLD BREW". When you are told you might want to taste your "COLD BREW" Because it's incredibly WATERY AND WEAK, you offer me another glass of it. ‍ If it were actually made correctly-(cold brew takes 24-72 hrs to properly brew), I would just get another cup of trash. Add to that the insult of you putting MORE half and half INSTEAD of the HEAVY CREAM, and again-the result will be the same. A WATERY WEAK MESS. For a town with a college claiming to have such intelligent students-one can only assume none of them were involved in my experience here at this establishment today, because my 13 year old could straighten that operation out in about 7 minutes. Never walking in there to waste twenty bucks on dishwater again!

The space is large with several seating options, including swinging egg chairs in the front window. We were excited by the food menu and couldn't resist ordering. The homemade biscuit with bacon, egg and cheddar cheese was phenomenal. Same sentiment for my iced lavender latte. My son complimented his moch frappe and my husband enjoyed his chicken salad croissant, which came with chips. This is only a sampling of the menu. If we lived nearby I'm sure we'd continue trying the rest of the items (biscuits, sandwiches, pastries). Merchandise is available for purchase. Some seating areas offer long tables for study groups or board games. Street parking in front of store. Staff was friendly and helpful. My son noted this has been the same experience during his visits. This shop introduced him to options he's not tried before. Danville, take good care of this spot!

This is quite possibly the best restaurant to ever exist in Stanford…read more I grew up in Stanford, I can tell you that in the 1980's and 1990's that local restaurants here were nothing but no-name greasy spoon diners selling nothing but fairly generic "burger and fries" and breakfast food, and it was usually pretty lousy. I was back in the town I grew up in a couple of weeks ago, and heard there was a really nice cafe in Stanford now called the Bluebird, so I sought it out. I was amazed. This definitely is more like a place I would expect in Lexington or Louisville. The food is genuinely good. Iced coffee and espresso, hot browns, and lots of other food that was never in Stanford when I was growing up there as a kid. I know that Stanford went wet a few years ago in a referendum, but it's still surreal to see margaritas and other mixed drinks on the menu in a place in Stanford. The ambiance was friendly and welcoming, and struck a nice balance between small town friendly. I had a patty melt, which was probably the best meal I'd ever had in a restaurant in Stanford in my entire life. I will definitely be back the next time I come back to my old hometown.

Freshly sautéed shrooms, cooked perfectly, juicy, seasoned well, served on a brioche bun. They offered a great selection of sides. I chose the chicken lemon orzo soup. It was a generous serving abundant w tender chicken. Our server, Autumn, was personable and, simply, just perfect at her job. We will return.
