I had a very disappointing experience with Drake Dunnavant and his office. Every time I called, his…read morereceptionist said her computer was not working. It became a constant excuse and made communication extremely difficult. In my case, I was charged with interference, and he wanted me to plead to disorderly conduct. From my experience, he did not seem prepared or knowledgeable about how to handle my case. He also arrived very late to court, and while I was waiting, I saw other defendants with much more serious charges receive better outcomes. What was most frustrating is that I felt like I had to suggest possible solutions myself. That is not what a client should have to do when paying for legal representation. Now, even though my case was supposedly settled with all fees waived, I am receiving notices from the court saying I owe $500. His office has not provided me with the paperwork I need to contact the county and get this corrected. That has only made the situation worse. Overall, I found this attorney unprofessional, disorganized, and difficult to work with. The receptionist was unhelpful, and the lack of communication created serious problems for me. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm.

My husband kept telling him he just wanted to go before the judge, and he dud not want him to. Asked my husband what did he think the judge was going to say. My husband again just said he wants to go before the judge to get this over with. The attorney replied me 2 I am sick of this! He does not work for the client, the DA kept trying to bring up stuff from over 40 yrs ago and want my husband to take probation from that. He had a 1 time DWI and they were trying to punish him for the passed things. He kept bringing that to us instead of telling the DA, that was not right. I would not refer him to represent a dog. Poor Performance !! But the judge fix it!!

After an emotional journey of finding a divorce lawyer, I decided to reach out to Anita Cutrer's…read moreoffice. When I called, I was greeted by a kind receptionist named Gayla who was pleasant, compassionate, and understanding. She was able to work with my schedule to help set up a meeting and get things started. I am happy to get this chapter closed in my life so I can move on. Thank you so much for being so kind when I needed it the most. Highly recommend!!

I had never heard of Anita Cutrer until I saw her sign on my drive to work. (That could be a good thing in the world of family court). The fact she's board certified in Family Law made her stand out. When the words outside the office changed to "It seems impossible until it's done," I had to turn in. Karen is perfect for first impressions. She promptly greeted me, and had a friendly and inviting smile. I asked if Anita offered a special service, and was encouraged to schedule a complimentary consultation... I'm still shocked at how fast they got me in. When I came back for my appointment, I discovered Anita was awarded "Top 10 Family Law Attorney in Texas." That's huge and should be acknowledged. I haven't spoken with Anita personally, but Jennie, her lead paralegal, was very impressive. She had documents from my case printed, and pointed out some of the same concerns I already had. She asked key questions, listened without bias or interruption, took notes, and went back to the top to dig deeper. Jennie treated me like a person, and demonstrated what all legal defense should look and feel like. Most importantly, she cared about my children. I don't have the necessary funding to move forward and secure their representation at this time. However, I truly believe all the lies would've been stopped as soon as they started if my family had the "duty of care" I was shown today. If you have the means, make sure the law firm you hire has integrity, is qualified and prepared, takes your case for the right reasons, and desires to promote restoration. Otherwise, the money spent will be used to make a bad situation worse, and your children will suffer more because of it. Thank you again for your time!

PARTIAL, refund of the $450 they essentially stole from me if I take the review down. Please, PLEASE, if you're reading this and desperate enough to file a bankruptcy to save your property, please seek alternative representation. These guys are straight up EVIL to their core. ORIGINAL REVIEW TEXT FOLLOWS- I would highly suggest anyone in a desperate situation to avoid this place like a plague. Their consultant told me that their retainer was 1500. A bit steep, but fine. Still, I told the consultant I didn't have that kind of saved up cash since, you know, I was considering bankruptcy and all. Then he said they'd put me on a payment plan and so long as I stayed on that plan, they would help me save my house. Obviously it's stressful to be in this situation and I was happy to hear them be willing to help. So I go on the payment plan. Then the date of foreclosure comes up and they call to say there will be no help unless I can pay off the retainer balance. Again, was told I could keep on the payment plan and be helped. I live on a small disability check, and in this economy the ability to save when I've just lost a parent and had to use all available extra funds to put them to rest means I am struggling. Like, you know, bankrupt people do. Like I told the consultant during our phone interview (they couldn't even fit me in a visit to an office). So they pull the rug and cancel me as a client. Fine, but will I get the $450 they charged me already on the payment plan back? The lady who cancelled me said I would. Then they call and hem and haw about policy and retainer agreement. These people are EVIL. Taking advantage of the most vulnerable folks who just want to not lose a HOUSE THAT I OWN with no mortgage. Just a little bit behind on taxes. Not 10 years behind, a year and a half behind. Because I was caring for my sick dying mother and dad didn't leave enough for her to die peacefully with. So I stepped up and was the dutiful son. And yeah, money got tight and I got behind, now I need a lifeline. And instead of a lifeline I got thrown an anchor. And on that anchor was stamped "ALLMAND LAW".
