We hired Certified Restoration after a leaky dishwasher ruined all of our flooring. They came out…read moreand told us that they would be a mediator for us for our insurance company and that they would take care of the ruined flooring. They also told us the would help us coordinate all of the repairs needed with our insurance company. When Certified Restoration came out to our house to remove the flooring they damaged a closet door and poked a hole in the ceiling of our garage. The damaged door was noticed immediately and pointed out to them. Photos of the damage were taken as well. However, the ceiling in the garage was not noticed until the next day. When we asked what would be done about the damage to the house, they told us that they didn't damage anything. They did finally admit to damaging the door and offered to fix it, but they refused to fix the hole in my garage ceiling. After they had gathered their equipment, they told us they would be in touch with us in the next few days regarding next steps. After we failed to here back from Certified Restoration, we actually got in touch with the flooring people ourselves. After a week or so of working with the flooring people and the insurance company ourselves, we finally contacted them about our damage door to determine what they planned to do about it. Larry finally reached out to us and told us that they didn't break anything, and refused to fix our door until we provided them with the photographic evidence of their damage. Larry's solution to his company's error was that we fix the damage ourselves (an expense of $600.00) and he would waive the $250.00 visit fee. This is a fee that he claimed the insurance company didn't cover (they did cover it). Obviously we declined this offer. Larry took the door with him and said he would fix it and bring it back. We didn't hear from him for over a week. When Larry finally returned the door to us he was extremely rude to my husband, used foul language towards my husband and implied that he was a liar. He told him that our home was crappy and all of our belongings were crappy and that's why the door broke. He then brought up the $250 visit fee again. I asked if he had run it through the insurance company and to provide me with their denial, because he had told my husband that he had ran it. He then told me that my "husband says a lot of things." I eventually had to go to my insurance company myself to find out that it was denied because he had coded it incorrectly. I am now finished with this company, and they have been paid in full. I want to warn others of what they are getting into.

When I first spoke with the owner, Grant, I was in the planning stages of what needed done on the…read morehome my wife and I recently bought. A LOT needed done. I was getting quotes from everywhere and running out of money getting the most necessary done. Roofing and siding was an afterthought. Grant called after 6 months asking if I was still needing him and all I could say was I didn't have the cash and he let me know could always reach out when I was ready. Eight months later I called him and it was like we just talked the day before! He even had the original notes he had taken when we first discussed my needs and the worries I had!! For a business to keep records on a project they don't even have a contract for for over a year told me that Grant values each person who contacts him, cares about their business and WANTS to provide customers with exactly what they want. The homes roof had been replaced 5 years prior, and Grant said that they could put another layer on and save me money while sealing any issues that might be underneath but I was worried about the boards of the deck layer being rotted. We settled on a price to tear off the existing shingles and expose the decking, replace any bad boards found as well as replace underlayment and shingles. I talked about the way the fascia looked like it was in poor shape as well and that i was thinking about getting new siding and gutters as well and Grant offered to give me a quote on that too. After looking at what materials he uses, comparing to other quotes and material specifications, Grant again came in under most and left me feeling that North Coast Builders could offer me affordable pricing and consistency in workmanship. Once materials were ordered things moved quickly. Once materials were delivered it was a matter of days before the crew arrived to start. In one day I had a new roof with rotted boards replaced, new underlayment, shingles and new roof vents installed replacing eave vents I requested be covered over. Fascia had been fixed or replaced, and readied for gutters. Weather held up installation of those for a day, but once the rain cleared gutters were installed in a day as well (even though it was a Saturday!). The next week held more, with siding taking a couple of days. I was very impressed that any mess was cleaned up as they went along and at the end of each day the crew walked around the house to make sure everything was neat and tidy. Whenever I had a question or concern Grant was just a phone call away and addressed things quickly and to my satisfaction. At the beginning of this project Grant had given me a brochure showcasing projects North Coast Builders had completed, and in the end I felt like the work they did on my home was showcase quality as well and ready to be added to their catalog. I've had others who work in the construction industry look at what's been done and each told me they were impressed with the attention paid to details. I have, and would again, recommend Grant and North Coast Builders for anyone's next home project!! This was a little problematic: the sink drain developed an odor due to the fact that there wasn't enough if a trap to hold water in it to prevent odor from developing. He did come back to correct the problem at no extra charge. This was very much appreciated. There is nothing further that needs to be done/repaired to it! Thanks!
