The quality of the fruit and the service are stellar!

I recently wanted to send some papayas to some friends in California, but wasn't quite sure how to…read morego about doing that....so I searched on the internet and came across Volcano Isle Fruit Company. I placed my order on-line on Friday and like clockwork received an e-mail on Monday that they received my order and would be processing it. They then sent me tracking information and like Japan's train system, the papayas arrived on time just as they said!....if you know anything about Japan's train system, you can set your watch by it. I am impressed that they can ship 10 lbs of papayas, Rainbow or Sunred, or a combination of the two to anywhere in the USA via UPS for $59.95, shipping included. Other companies charge more. This is the first time I've used them and I'm waiting for a report from my friend to see if they were sweet...and which ones they liked better, but so far, everything seems great. Papayas arrived on Thursday and I could check the tracking which said they were left at the front door...sure enough, they got them. I will update my review when I hear from my friends. Here's what they say:"Volcano Isle Fruit Company Order Catalogue Sweet, firm and delicious, Papaya provides more potassium and Vitamins A and C per serving than apples and oranges combined. These Rainbow (yellow flesh) and Sunred (pink flesh) papaya have been grown to perfection on the volcanic soils of the Big Island on our family farm for over 25 years. Both varieties are harvested tree ripened to maximize sweetness and flavor. Take your pick! A 10lb box for just $59.95 will arrive anywhere in the USA. Free Shipping! Visa or Mastercard accepted. Please Note: Due to the nature of the product, papayas are only shipped ONCE a week. Orders are processed on Monday for a Tuesday (Wednesday holiday) ship through UPS. Papayas generally arrive 2-3 days (Friday) after shipment. If for some reason there is any delay in shipping, we will notify you.

The papaya salad was so fresh and at ($9) for a whole quart so affordable and easy to share with friends. The papaya stand was my favorite one as she makes the salad fresh in front of you. The purple tapioca potato pudding was so dense and interesting, really rich and lovely to try. I was also blown away by the macadamia nut croissant ($6), the croissant itself was fine, flaky and well baked, but the macadamia nut butter frangipane filling for the croissant stole the show. It was so decadent and sweet I savored every bite of the croissant! The marinated goat cheeses from the goat cheese stand were the most delicious goat cheese I've had in my life. Super creamy, luscious, silky and with interesting flavors. I grabbed two spicy goat cheeses I was so obsessed. There is so much to see eat and try! This is a newer Farmer's market and popular with locals compared to the Downtown Hilo Farmer's Market located at oceanfront. Our cabin had private shower, fan, condition was okay but lacked coffee supplies. There were frequent sounds of cars moving to/from cabins but overall it was a good stay. What started as a spontaneous stay turned into one of the most healing and transformative experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful, welcoming, and full of genuine care. We ended up spending nearly all of our time at the sanctuary instead of exploring because their healing services were exactly what we needed. Dr. Rich was phenomenal! Combining medical expertise with a holistic approach to help us address some long-standing health issues. Tammy's bodywork and her deep understanding of frequency and energy work were absolutely essential to our experience. Anita's hydro cleansing session was nothing short of incredible, my wife actually regained her sense of smell for the first time since losing it after Covid and a stroke in 2021! And then there was Kelly, her food and fresh juices were out of this world! Every meal was nourishing and full of life. The entire staff radiated warmth, kindness, and a genuine passion for helping people heal. We didn't want to leave and are already planning our return trip. Thank you, Hawaiian Sanctuary, for making us feel like family and for the life changing care and love you poured into every moment. You've truly left a lasting mark on our hearts.
