The Prince Kuhio Plaza has been the main shopping complex on the eastside of the big island which provides - restaurants/food court, banking services, dental services, veterinarian services, shopping, and entertainment for all of the Hawaii community, & visitors abroad. Situated in Hilo town, you can find this mall just about a 3.7 miles away from the Hilo International Airport. I haven't been to Prince Kuhio Plaza in ages, as I had stopped commuting to the Big Island on a regular basis, but when I did finally come to this complex for work recently, I noticed a few changes in the vendors at this shopping complex, for instance Sears is no longer here, and a TJ Maxx took over a very large portion of the shopping complex. The mall is clean & well kept, this used to be one of my favorite spots to go to watch movies, whenever I had to stay overnight in Hilo. Of course one cannot compare this mall to like Ala Moana Shopping Center on Oahu, but at least the big island has a pretty good mall that provides many types of services for the big island community.

It was Friday and I needed to get it for the NEXT day's dose. I called my doctor and they sent the prescription. I called my insurance company and they approved it. The two pharmacies near my airb&b didn't have it in stock. To make a long story short, the Pharmacist(s) at this location spent quite a bit of time and effort calling the doctor's office and the insurance company and getting all the ducks in a row so I could get my medication as necessary. They had to get an override from the insurance company in order to dispense more of my meds before the next authorized refill. It took a little bit of time, but as I was hiking the trek to Akaka Falls, I got the call and it all was approved and arranged. My prescription was going to be ready in 30 Minutes. So often people are quick to put bad reviews up, but you don't always see the ones where they really work hard to make sure the person gets what they need and in a prompt manner. Thank you VERY much to the CVS Team! Oh- and CVS bought Long's - So the sign says Long's - But it's a CVS. and that caused me a little confusion in the beginning. But it's all clear now.

They carry all the standard surf brands with great selection for men and women. We come for the accessories like their bags, belts, hats, etc. and they have great variety. The style is geared toward a surf and skate lifestyle. Staff was really friendly and helpful. They're consistently approachable and chill, which blended right into the feel of the store. We got exactly what we were looking for with the staff's help. They even helped us get a better deal by recommending some of their current sales.

They think noting of telling you an arrival time and then change it to the next day. So, don't count on them if you need something right away. I think shoppers must "claim" your order and several others, so delivery takes a long time. I will not renew my subscription. The one is for the second to last order. It is okay if you never need to return anything. I will do pickup instead.

Long's now has implemented a CVS system that puts CVS's convenience over that of its customers…read more Instead of an automated call telling you that your prescription is ready, or that one of them is out-of-stock, they send you a link that tries to force you to open an account in order to learn ANYTHING about your order! If you have no smartphone, or value your privacy, tough luck! If you want some place to hide out from corporate information gathering, there's no way! You get to the store and they try to force you to "log-in" again, provide all of your personal info, etc. before they will just look at your I.D and get you your prescription! One person seemingly has to take care of ALL pick-ups, and they are obviously overworked. YOU CAN JUST REFUSE to play their selfish corporate game, and demand your prescription, but they'll still force you to sign for it! When I went back a second time to pick up a drug that had been out of stock the previous day, I had to operate blindly by going into the store only to find that they STILL didn't have it a full day later, and I RECEIVED NO NOTIFICATION what the status was beforehand! Yeah, you can put up with "the way things are these days", but I'm ditching anything having to do with CVS. There are other pharmacies that value their customers' time and privacy, but not these CORPORATE CLOWNS!. They have lost this customer!

I even found some souvenirs and snacks to take back home with me. Parking lot can be a bit "colorful" shall we say- so lock your car. They seem to be training well, and creating a good work environment. What stands out most to me is the employees are always really friendly and they seem genuinely happy to work here. They are always saying hello and asking if I need anything. It reminds me of the 5 star service at our nearby resorts. And it is really, really appreciated. The store is organized and clean. The selection of merchandise is great which is so nice in our area since it is difficult to find good quality and up to date goods. I shop here once a month and I never leave without something.
