Normally I went to there but some wines, and I have used ID copies in my phone with post office certified. It always works. However, one day I used the same ID from my phone, they don't accept it anymore. No sorry, no explanation, just rude way. Treat me like a second class citizen. I bet they don't ask everybody else for the real ID. P.s. I am a 36 ys old mother with two kids, I do not think they can't tell that I am older than 20ys old from my appearance. Never will use their service, including John Lewis.

Just across the road from the main entrance to Holland Park, this is a relatively small Waitrose, but still has a good selection of fresh produce, and a fair range of everyday groceries. I often pop in when in the area, as I like the quality of the vegetables especially. I have found the service to be much improved of late so have been happy to shop there, as well as buying Waitrose / John Lewis gift vouchers as reliable and simple presents! (NB there are check-outs at both the Kensington High Street and Earl's Court Road exits, so if one area is busy you can always use the other!).

Little did I realize my family lives just a few blocks from Waitrose. Upon walking towards the entrance and entering the grocery store, the ambiance and appearance were bright and cheery. The lime green hues were calming as well. Perusing through the isles was reminiscent to the Rainbow Market located in El Cerrito CA USA. The wine selection had quite a few different varieties including, lol~"The Rest Of The World" humorous labeling. The pastries were not labeled with the entire list of ingredients used making each pastry so, I was unsure what the ingredients used were. The common daily necessities such as organic milk and eggs were ample as well as diapers for my grand-daughter and TP located on the shelving were plentiful, too. Fruit and veggies appeared fresh as well which my daughter bought three bananas for my grand-daughter.

Every time i've been in there the staff have been lovely, courteous and patient (which is a surprise considering some of the rude lunch crowd they get through). I normally do my 'side shopping' at the Co-Op on old street itself, but since that store is closed at the moment for refurbishment I ventured a bit 'up market' and I have to say, I'm glad I did. The selection of food, fruit and veg on offer is staggering in comparison to the co-op. Everything I've eaten from here has been faultless, which is surprising considering the first sandwich I bought was a cheese and celery (It sounds weird but I couldn't resist). One thing that suprised me was definitely the price, it was my misconception that Waitrose was very expensive when compared to other retailers. OH HOW WRONG I WAS! On the items i bought (sandwiches, fruit and other nic-nacs) Waitrose was consistently the same price or cheaper than it's counterparts. Need I say, I'm definitely shopping here again and I reccommend you do to!

The only drawback is that this branch of Sainsbury's gets very busy. There really is nothing like listening to kids screaming, waiting for the old biddy who's in your way to choose the cheapest tuna, then for some lout to ram a trolley into your achilles heel. What was meant to be a 10-20 minute visit, lasted almost an hour. The store is huge, the layout is well spaced out and labelled. Even though the aisles are long, the categories are clearly marked and you can choose which aisles to walk along and which to skip. The range of products is amazing. Plenty of options for "exotic" foods - Indian masalas, ramens, Korean spice pastes etc. I finally found Fanta lemon that I've been searching for since I got introduced to it 2 months ago in Toledo (I actually thought it may not be available in the U.K.) Love this store, it's much larger & roomier than any other Sainsbury I've been to in London.

It was really close to where I was staying which made it very convenient. The store is set up for convenience. Having items that are a quick grab at the front of the store was great. If I missed a meal or needed to grab a snack, I walked into here after getting off the tube and before I was going to my room. On Friday, and because they didn't refund my money, I wrote to the customer service WhatsApp, and they texted me that in the deposit they forgot to make the refund, I complained because 5 days had already passed, and they told me that they would make the refund this same day. The day after, without a refund, I wrote again, and they tell me that I have to wait 3 to 5 more days. What rubbish company is this?. this is a robbery, no other supermarket charges you for a purchase until you receive it, and Tesco does it, bill you for the purchase, or keeps your money unless you claim it.

Compared to America, everything in the store was very well-priced and I was elated to find an entire gluten free aisle to shop from. I literally was a kid in a (GF) candy store haha. The image is from a slight afternoon haul where I was craving some snacks. The GF bread had many nutritious seeds and came in handy throughout my stay. I have been missing the GF jam tarts and Bakewells every day and cannot wait to indulge once I return to the UK. It was so hard to believe that the baked goods were not only GF but were also milk free! Although Sainsbury's is a convenience store, it still deserves the praise on here for any future shoppers from near or far.

I tend to get lemons and make lemon tea in the morning. Waitrose had lemons, so I got three that lasted my entire stay. The baked goods section is excellent. I got croissants here. They were flaky, buttery, and yummy. I got some peanut brittle, too. It was so good. Butter tends to make anything taste better. I remember seeing self-checkouts here. I ended up wanting a human. He was great. I paid with a credit card. It worked perfectly. I'm so glad that this Waitrose still exists. It was a good grocery store that had everything I needed while I was here for a week. (38)
