My doctor recommended an MRI due to some polyps so he referred me here. It was not cheap, even with…read moreinsurance, but at the time I was able to pay the deductible with no problem. The office is in a rather nondescript building in South Durham. I was a little bit surprised that the MRI machine is actually outside the main building in a trailer; they even lifted me up like I was on a loading dock. The staff were polite and the procedure went well, although I never got notification of my results (had to call my doctor's office and bug them).

I called several days ahead to make sure I knew what the out of pocket charges were. I asked for insurance out of pocket charge vs. self pay. On the MRI it was cheaper to do the self pay. They had that amount right. On the Cat scan, they wanted $900 hundred upfront when I was told $270 by their insurance dept. I had to wait forever for them to try to figure this out which they didn't. The front desk lady was awesome. They took me to the back and did the MRI, the tech was awesome. Sent me to a little room where the office manager came in saying the $900 was right. We went round and round, she was a complete jerk. They were wrong not me and she would not take responsibility for their billing/insurance offices mistake. She told me that I would only have to pay the $270 that day and they would bill me the rest. Which was still totally wrong on their part. I had whom I spoke with name written down at home and called back the next morning and gave it to them. The lady that does the Cat scans was awesome, did my scan and told me that I didn't need to check out to have a good day. I go through the lobby and get called by the same lady that was helping me. I go over and she said what are you going to pay today. I said I can pay what I want, then I will pay $200. I swipped my card and went on my way. Today I pull up my checking and they had charged me $270 plus $200. I called back up there and she told me I swipped my card twice (this dumb office manager) and I owe them the remaining balance. I am waiting for my bank to call back now. If they had already charged me the $270 why was I stopped on the way out and asked to pay more that day? I was told I only had to pay the $270 because I had already self paid $1275 for the MRI and now $275 for the Cat scan, so now they got an extra $200 which I didn't ever have. These people are a bunch of crooks. I will never go back there again and would highly recommend that you don't use them either. That office manager said that the supervisor in the insurance dept said that I had discussed a Cat scan that I got years ago with the insurance lady which we did not. She said it was a recorded call, I told her we certainly did not and that she needed to get that call and listen to it. However what would that have to do with this anyway, that was just a outright LIE. Forewarning everyone- Don't use this Place!!! Dawn S.

The lady who works there is friendly and charming. She definitely added to the experience. Only one family is there at a time, so it's private, quiet, and relaxing. We got some printouts there, but they also send them all to you so you can print them as desired. If you or a loved one are expecting you need to do this. 5 stars all day long.

I was ordered a specialized test. The technician said they do it all of the time and he knew how to…read morecomplete it. I had already paid for the test so was surprised there was a $45 draw fee. I was informed by my doctor that the lab did not include two of the required blood/ urine samples so they could not complete the evaluation. I drove 5 hours to this lab and paid for a motel to be there for a fasting blood draw.
